FirstSpear Friday Focus – Asset Technical Field Shirt

Today we are getting the first look at FirstSpear’s all new color way on the Asset Technial Field Shirt. Originally available in Black and Sand, FS has rolled out an all new Commando green now in-stock. Aside from the new color the Asset has garnered serious attention within US Special Operations thanks to a long list of performance features, materials, and overall comfort.

The torso is constructed from FirstSpear’s proprietary ACM 100 Merino wool and is not only extremely light and comfortable but also does an exceptional job at wicking moisture and offers the naturally inherent antimicrobial and flame resistance of wool.

The sleeves and shoulder yoke are built with a highly breathable Para-Arimid that is double reinforced at the elbows offering impressive heat and flame resistance. FirstSpear used an anti-friction NanoGlide mesh in the arm pits to help keep you cool in the hottest environments.

Adjustable cuffs and generous sleeves can easily be rolled up. The torso is longer than usual to help keep it tucked in during long days and exaggerated movement. Bicep pockets and loop fields for IFF attachment come standard. The high collar helps to save your neck from sling rub. FirstSpear has announced their Berry compliant shooters glove is now available for commercial purchase.

The Operator Glove was designed for and currently fielded by United States Special Operations teams who required a shooters glove that provides the balance between strength and protection vs weight and dexterity. The FirstSpear OG provides the end user a reliable solution to this common glove dilemma now available for the first time on the FS web store in Sand and Commando colorways.

Built with the most technologically advanced materials and modern construction techniques it is inherently flame retardant with patterning and fit that makes it feel like you are not wearing a glove at all. This design allows for maximum manipulation and feel for fire control and other key weapon functions. The entire glove including the trigger finger itself has an advanced patent pending design to increase transmission of feedback to the user. Core spun merino wool, Pitards goat leather, touch screen compatibility, are just a few of the features found on the OG.

In order to achieve these levels of peak performance FirstSpear used materials and construction techniques that provide for the best in tactile responsiveness but by their very nature will not stand up to extremely long periods of hard abuse and should be expected to wear out. FS states that the these gloves were designed to perform exceptionally well through a standard train up and deployment and therefore do not come with the standard lifetime warranty commonly found on plate carriers, bags, packs, and other equipment.

FirstSpear has announced they are manufacturing a reusable face mask and making them available right away. 100% Berry compliant one size fits all mask with a 4 point reinforced closure for long term security. Colors will vary based on availability, the construction will vary between a nylon cotton or polyester cotton blend also based on material availability. The mask can be laundered for re-use and it is recommended to hand wash each day with a mild antibacterial dish or laundry soap and hang dry over night.

Currently available in ACU and Sage Green.
