#GivingTuesday: Military Aid Societies Ready for Round

Military Aid Societies are poised to embark on their second annual fundraising battle, setting the stage for the #Battle4BraggingRights, where they will vie for supremacy in contributions.

WASHINGTON (November 20, 2023) – On November 28th, the combined forces of Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS), Air Force Aid Society (AFAS), Army Emergency Relief (AER), and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) have announced their intent to engage in the #Battle4BraggingRights for the second consecutive year on #GivingTuesday. The mission remains the same: secure essential funds to provide service members and their families with vital emergency relief, financial support and educational resources.

“Amidst the #GivingTuesday philanthropic spirit, we are challenging ourselves to add an exhilarating twist – a friendly competition among Military Aid Societies – to amplify the excitement of giving,” said U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant General Robert R. Ruark, NMCRS’s President and CEO.

The #Battle4BraggingRights will unfold across social media platforms on #GivingTuesday, November 28, 2023. Supporters are encouraged to visit Battle4BraggingRights.com, where they can allocate their contributions to one of the four Military Aid Societies. At the close, a victor will emerge.

This substantial matching pledge guarantees that donations to these transformative Military Aid Societies will yield double the impact for military members, veterans and their families.

Inglorious Amateurs – Jawbreaker Memorial Pre-Sale

November 25, 2023 marks the 22 year anniversary of the Battle of Qala-i-Jangi and the date of the first American killed in what became Operation Enduring Freedom. Johnny Micheal Spann was not only the first American killed in the conflict, but also the first CIA officer killed since 9/11. Since that time the Agency has added a staggering total of 52 stars to the Memorial Wall.

The helicopter featured in this campaign is an artist rendition of Mi-17 helicopter used by the CIA’s Northern Alliance Liaison Team (NALT) just after 9/11, that now anchors one corner of the green lot at CIA HQS.

Items include T-shirts, Skate Decks, Slaps and Prints. Additionally, they are donating proceeds from the collection to the CIA Officer Memorial Foundation and Third Option Foundation.

The pre-sale ends on the 18th, with shipping in early November.

SIG SAUER Raises Over $120,000 for Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) at Annual Charity Golf Tournament

NEWINGTON, N.H., (September 14, 2023) – SIG SAUER, Inc. is pleased to announce the 7th Annual SIG SAUER Charity Golf Tournament raised over $120,000 for Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA). The tournament held in August at Pease Golf Course in Newington, New Hampshire is an annual event hosted by SIG SAUER in support of the HAVA organization.

Frogtoberfest – An Evening With SEALKIDS
