Brouwer’s “The Thing”
Wednesday, December 27th, 2023Is a simple, and robust solution to a long-faced problem; how do you combine the ergonomic benefits of multi-angle pistol magazine pouches, with the versatility of the soft forging duty pouch such as the “TACO”?
Traditionally, the multi-angle pouches are manufactured using Kydex, or injection molding, which serve their purpose well, however, they only support one or two types of magazines. This solution is great, in environments where only one gun or one magazine type is used.
But for the working professional or the firearms connoisseur, you just flat out need more flexibility… literally. And for this need, the HSGI TACO is excellent. Stuff whatever you want in it and it will serve you well. However, it can only be installed 90 degrees to whatever MOLLE belt solution you select.
We are proud to announce a solution for the best of both worlds. the “The Thing” is a robust T7075 aircraft-grade aluminum mount ready for any scenario in shooting. Our proprietary design allows quick and easy mounting with any MOLLE pouch on the market. Adjustable in 10-degree increments, for a full 360 degrees of rotation.
Additionally, the center of rotation is offset from the centerline, so that “The Thing” can be installed with the magazines in a high or low offset, depending on your setup and needs!

Ventum Gear – Burrito Multi Pouch
Wednesday, December 20th, 2023Ventum Gear is headquartered in my German hometown of Würzburg where I was stationed in the late 80s.
Featuring printed US Cordura and European assembly, the Burrito Muoyi Pouch can be used as a waist bag, attached to a vest, or as a dangler.
The front pocket is suitable for flat items such as casualty cards or a rescue blanket. Additionally, there is a concealed pocket on the back.
Inside the bag, emphasis was placed on a bright velour to keep it organized even in low light conditions.
In addition, the main compartment now has a water drainage eyelet and four fixation loops. In combination with some paracord, the bag can also be used as an admin or electronics pouch.
Finally, there is an elastic holder for a tourniquet on the bottom of the bag.

S.O.Tech builds utility into our designs. In the field environment, you have two concerns when servicing your weapons – getting them clean AND doing so without losing any of the parts! So we designed our Gorilla Cleaning Case with both a well organized cleaning tool slots and pockets area and a side-walled disassembly field. These webbing walls are folded up so pesky little pins and springs don’t roll off to be lost forever, and the field is bright grey for provide easy identification. A large flat pocket is included behind the organizer slots of bottles of cleaner and the outside has a female Velcro field to accept a patch identifying what weapons the kit supports.
