v3.0 Megingjord is a AIWB specific belt. This is the 3rd version of their industry original AIWB specific concealed carry belt. Megingjörð is the name of the belt worn by Thor, which translates into “power-belt”.
As a belt made specifically for appendix carry, they used materials with two different thicknesses; a thicker material to support the pistol and a thinner, more flexible material around the back.
They have also added a brand new belt retention called the Gaetir, which comes standard with the Megingjord but can be purchased on its own.
It is a one wrap keeper that double loops, then snaps in place keeping the belt retained in place. This item is designed to fit on any hook/loop belt that is 1.5″ and smaller. It’s purpose is to provide an added layer if retention which is needed in physical confrontations where your average hook/loop belt may come apart during a tussle.
Arbor Arms is working with Aqualung to offer a low cost retrofit kit for armor carriers so that they can be used in conjunction with Aqualung Buoyancy Compensators. In this case, we see the Calypso.
The cummerbund is elastic so it will allow a buoyancy compensator or horse collar to still inflate yet keep your gear nice and snug.
Additionally, the Aqualung weight belt is worn with ditchable weights fore and aft to keep them out of the way of holsters and magazine carriers.

SWANSBORO, N.C., Sept. 9, 2019 – High Speed Gear®, maker of Battle-Proven Tactical Gear™, concluded its monthlong “Battle of the Belts” giveaway with its customers and dealers Sept. 6.
Participants voted on their favorite HSGI® and Comp-Tac® belts and features, resulting in more than 3,800 entrants, with one winner announced each week. Each winner received an Operator Belt, which was the winning belt all four weeks, with later weeks rewarding additional HSGI® and Comp-Tac® products.
“We were very excited by the turnout on our survey contest,” said Allison Mitchum, HSGI® director of sales and marketing. “We’ve received a lot of great input and insight, all of which can be used in continuing to make great gear our customers value and trust.”
Additionally, participants voted High Speed Gear’s® made in America status as their most important aspect/feature, followed by the gear’s function and usefulness, with the overbuilt design and durability ranking third.

This version of our battle-proven, tactical belt utilizes the COBRA® buckle on 1.5” webbing.
The Duty-Grip™ is designed with the patrol officer in mind and was fielded by numerous law enforcement officers and departments during the development process. Our proprietary neoprene padding creates a gel-like comfort while offering excellent grip and performance. The Duty-Grip™ features a complete series of vertical laser-cut slots that allow a rigger or duty belt to weave securely to expose any or nearly all of the belt for attaching belt-mounted pouches and holsters.
So new it doesn’t have a name yet, this new belt made from ULTRAcomp consists of an inner and outer belt. Blue Force Gear tells me it is half the weight of competitor belts.
The outer belt has a break strength of 4000 lbs and features a Cobra buckle as well as two sewn-in front and rear retention loops. It also incorporates three high PALS slots.
The inner and outer belts connect via Velcro. The inner belt is low profile and can be turned inside out of you want to wear it as your only belt.
