SIG SAUER Academy to Hosts NRA Seminar Series @ NRA Annual Meeting

NEWINGTON, N.H., (May 9, 2024) – SIG SAUER Academy is proud to present the NRA Seminar Series at the upcoming NRA Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas on Friday, May 17, 2024 through Sunday, May 19, 2024.

The NRA Seminar Series is inclusive of hour-long educational seminars hosted by the professional instructors of the SIG SAUER Academy offering brief instructions and tips on pistol mounted optics, concealed carry considerations, handgun and rifle selection, and long-range shooting.

The SIG SAUER Academy NRA Seminar Series will take place in room D167 on the lower level of the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. The schedule is as follows:

Hogue – Wrapter

One of the things I ran across at last week’s NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits in Indianapolis was the Wrapter line of adhesive firearms grips from Hogue which allows you to add that Hogue grip feeling to standard grips.

Wrapter is available for a variety of handguns and is due cut for a perfect fit but there also a DIY kit in case you want to add Hogue’s famous rubber grip material to other guns or items.

Offered in Grain, Block, and Heavy Grit Textures.

Indy 23 – New Rifles from Dillon Rifle Company

Dillon Rifle is exhibiting two new upcoming rifles. Chambered in .308, these as-yet-unnamed rifles feature Lilja barrels and Timney trigger and accept AI pattern drop mags.

The only difference between the two is the stock. The top example incorporates an MDT ESS chassis and the bottom has the from Grayboe Phoenix 2 which is a hybrid hunting and tactical stock.

Indy 23 – Cobalt Kinetics x Firearms Depot Exclusive Pro Shooter ARs

On May 14th Firearms Depot will release two ARs manufactured and configured by Cobalt Kinetics for pro shooters Don Edwards of Greenline Tactical whose carbine is named the “Fast Eddie” and John Dufresne of Kinetic Consulting who named his carbine the “Bear Claw.”

Indy 23 – Maxim Defense MS-9 Suppressor

Debuting at NRAAM, the new Maxim Defense MS-9 is both modular and a direct thread mount suppressor. It can be configured as long (7.5″/10.5oz) or short (5.375″/8.7oz). Manufactured from 17-4 Stainless Steel and 7075-T6 Aluminum, it is Cerakoted. Both pistol and rifle rated, it features a Dead-Air P Series Booster.

The average measurement per MILSTD-1474D is 134dB in the short configuration and 131.9 dB in the long configuration tested on a 4” barrel Glock 19 Gen 5 using Federal 147gr 9mm measured at the shooter’s left ear.
