ATN Corp Shipping 9K Night and Thermal Optics to Ukraine

ATN Corp. receives expedited approval from US Government Agencies to ship thousands of thermal and night vision optics to the Ukrainian forces.

Doral, Fla. (April 2022) – American Technology Network Company (ATN), an industry leader and innovative producer of Smart Optics for the 21st-century, in addition to night vision and thermal vision products, is pleased to announce shipments of approximately nine-thousand night vision and thermal optics being shipped to Ukrainian forces in an effort to help them in the field.

“It is with great pleasure that we are happy to announce the speedy approval from the State Department and the Department of Commerce, along with the requisite licensing, for the purposes of shipping almost nine-thousand night vision and thermal scopes and handheld optics for Ukrainian forces,” Marc Vayn, founder of ATN, Chairman, and CMO stated. “ATN has committed to making an unprecedented effort in this endeavor and is committed to shipping these units in the shortest time. Included in the upcoming shipment is the ATN BinoX 4T, the Smart HD thermal binocular with laser rangefinder. The BinoX is a 4th generation bino with an ultra-sensitive sensor, 60 Hz with dual-core. It can record video, as well as several color palettes in black/hot and white/hot, as well as color modes, and with the press of a button, acquire range to target. The integrated laser rangefinder targets distances up to 1,000 y/m day or night.

Another product on its way to the Ukrainian forces is the ATN PS31-3 Night Vision Goggles. An essential piece of combat technology, the ATN PS31-3 is a dual night vision goggle system that has become a standard for operators and tactical units around the globe. New enhanced capabilities are found in the new design of the binoculars night vision device (BNVD), and its enhanced field of view (FOV) – now at 50 degrees, giving a tactical team a superior advantage in the field.

MKS Announces Ophir Long Range, Ruggedized 60-1200mm f/4 Continuous Zoom Lens for Cooled MWIR Cameras

April 5, 2022 – Andover, MA – MKS Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKSI), a global provider of technologies that enable advanced processes and improve productivity, has announced the Ophir® SupIR 60-1200 MWIR f/4 lens, the latest addition to the company’s series of lenses designed for SXGA/HD 10µm and 15µm VGA pitch FPA (focal plane array) cooled MWIR cameras. This new, high precision lens is equipped with an automated zoom interface and continuous zoom to provide a sharp and clear image across the entire field-of-view and throughout the full zoom range. This makes it ideal for the demanding requirements of Counter Unmanned Systems (C-UAS) applications and long range observation and surveillance systems.

The Ophir SupIR 60-1200mm f/4 has a horizontal field-of-view (H-FOV) of 0.3°-8.6°. It is the newest addition to the SupIR SXGA/HD 10µm detectors compatible series of lenses which are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, providing an operating temperature range from -32ºC to +85ºC. These lenses features Ophir’s world-renowned abrasion-resistant, anti-reflective (AR) coatings; IP 67 sealing; and a mechanical design that withstands severe shock and vibration. They are designed for ease of mechanical and electronic integration using Ophir’s standard software for optimal integration, calibration, and field operation. In addition, the lenses are equipped with zoom controller features for continuous zoom with focus retention, automatic focus compensation throughout temperature and zoom ranges, close objects focus mode, focus blurring for NUC calculation, and full manual and automatic control of zoom and focus positions.

L3Harris Equips US Army With Another 1,500 Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars

LONDONDERRY, N.H. — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX) has delivered more than 1,500 combat-ready Enhanced Night Vision Goggle – Binocular (ENVG-B) systems to the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division unit, improving the soldiers’ situational awareness, mobility and protection.

The ENVG-B provides enhanced capability to the entire force by delivering imagery and data from the battlefield directly to the soldier’s eye. The system includes a new, high-resolution display and an embedded soldier wireless personal area network, rapid target acquisition and augmented reality algorithms to interface with the Army’s Nett Warrior.

The complete system will interface with the Army’s family of weapon sights, while enhancing interoperability and data sharing. The system also integrates with L3Harris’ AN/PRC-163 two channel leader radio which further extends the network across the battlefield.
