Leonardtown, Maryland – Veteran-owned F4 Defense, manufacturers of innovative small arms and accessories, announced the release of their small frame .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor (F4X) today in advance of the 2018 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. F4 Defense has been working alongside Remington® over the past year establishing a licensing agreement, utilizing the DPMS® Gen II patents, and incorporating them into a high-quality precision rifle. Furthermore, F4 has partnered with Proof Research® in the manufacturing of carbon fiber barrels, specific to the new F4X platform.
The F4X 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win will be on display at this year’s SHOT Show, Booth #N315, 3rd Floor on the NEXT Pavilion.
F4 Defense will initially release three variants of the F4X: 6.5 Creedmoor featuring a 22” Proof Research® carbon fiber barrel with CAMGAS system; .308 with 16” 1×8 Proof Research carbon fiber barrel; and .308 18” 1×10 Proof Research Stainless Steel Barrel. The F4X weighs in at roughly 7.5lbs.
The F4X was designed to fill a void in the hunting, competition, and LE/military markets. It’s the next step in the advancement of large caliber gas guns that vastly improves upon large frame AR-10s. The F4X is smaller, lighter, and just as accurate as any of the leading AR-10s currently on the market.
Each F4X comes standard with the Trigger Tech® Adaptable AR Primary Trigger and patent pending F4 Adaptive Rail System (ARS). The F4X features a flat-wire buffer spring, hydraulic buffer, and APA® Little Bastard™ Muzzle Brake. This combination results in a smooth and soft shooting rifle. Consistent with all F4 rifles, the F4X comes with a sub-moa guarantee.

CMC’s Match Precision Barrels are the ultimate upgrade drop in barrels for Gen 3 & 4 Glock® 17,19 and 34 Pistols. Our Match Grade barrels are precision machined from Certified, DFARS compliant; pre hardened 416R premium grade stainless steel, to extremely tight tolerances and exacting details.
416R stainless steel is recognized for its corrosion resistance, machinability and high tensile strength; it is the industry standard for premium Match Grade barrel manufacturing.
CMC’s propriety In house machining, production and Quality control inspection process’s allow us to attain an ultra-precise barrel with enhanced slide fit & lock up for improved accuracy.
Our barrels are 6 groove, cut rifled, 1:10 Twist Right Hand, fully QC inspected, double honed (rough and finish) to produce the smoothest bore possible, with a Max Roughness Average (RA) of 12. Finished bore dimensions are held to +/- 0.0005″ tolerance from nominal groove and bore dimensions but the dimensions are uniform to within 0.0002 for maximum consistency, accuracy and quality.
SAAMI, Match Grade specification chambers, precision cut and finished to a maximum Roughness Average (RA) of 16.
The pre hardened 416R stainless steel is stress relieved to an exacting recipe after rifling and final hardness is 38-42 Rockwell C before final barrel profile machining is completed.
Barrels are bead blasted to create a satin finish prior to plating and are available in 3 finish options.

The Cold Weather Liner was designed to provide a helmet integrated insulation solution. The CWL is constructed of high quality wicking DWR treated Power Stretch fleece and is compatible with all popular helmets (Ops-Core, Crye Precision, Team Wendy, MTEK, MICH, ACH).
