Lindnerhof-Taktik Launches Its MX634 Modular Radio Pouch; Becomes Available for Purchase on 21 December

Wednesday, December 21st, 2022

LENGGRIES, GERMANY (20 December 2022)—Lindnerhof-Taktik GmbH today unveiled its final new product for 2022: the MX634 Modular Radio Pouch, a highly versatile tactical accessory designed to be configured as desired by users to suit each mission’s unique requirements.

The MX634 Modular Radio Pouch goes on sale beginning 21 December at the company’s online shop.

“This single pouch rounds out a year full of Lindnerhof product innovation and reflects once again the current theme of our development programme— modularity,” said Lindnerhof Chief Executive Officer Jakob Kolbeck. “We believe modularity is the key to all things tactical.”

Kolbeck added that the MX634 Modular Radio Pouch completes the company’s MX product range for this year. MX products are those made of Lindnerhof ?s super-lightweight yet remarkably durable multiaxial laminate material, he explained.

“The MX634 Modular Radio Pouch is in essence a construction kit for end-users to build and set up a radio pouch that’s as individual as they themselves are,” Kolbeck said.

The base of the MX634 Modular Radio Pouch comes with two sizes included—one large and the other small. This, said Kolbeck, allows users to adjust the pouch’s height in order to optimise its mission value.

“The idea here is that we wanted to offer everyone the possibility of configuring their radio equipment just the way they want it,” he said. “We felt it was crucially important to have height adjustability so that users can handle their radio equipment the way they’ve always done it in the past. The different sized bases ensure that not only will the pouch be positioned at the user’s preferred height but also that the equipment to be carried will fit perfectly inside the pouch, regardless of whether the equipment is a smartphone or a SEM52.”

Another feature of the MX634 Modular Radio Pouch is compressibility, which allows the user to secure contained equipment. “The pouch can be snugged up tight against items inside it the user’s choice of side elastic inserts or conventional lateral elastic cords as well as with the modular options of a Velcro® fastener or a buckle—again, the decision is left to the user.”

The MX634 Modular Radio Pouch can be mounted to a plate carrier or a protective vest by multiple means. “Users have the choice of classic MOLLE/PALS attachment or—as with our previously announced new MX174 Multi Hanger Pouch—a Velcro® flap that affixes directly to a Lindnerhof carrier,” Kolbeck noted. “Moreover, the pouch’s modular design permits attachment on whichever side the user wishes, left or right.

In spelling out the reasons to develop a modularly designed pouch, Kolbeck said “Our goal was to create a product that would enable its user to be fast and successful from mission start to finish. So, we asked ourselves, why limit it to just a single option? Why not add more? We certainly have the technologic capability to do so. Ultimately, we were brought back to the position that it ?s the user’s mission and the user should be the one to decide how the gear is configured for optimal success.”

Rheinmetall has scored another success in the field of artillery ammunition.

A long-time NATO customer awarded the South African subsidiary Rheinmetall Denel Munition a framework contract for the supply of 155mm ammunition of the proven Assegai product line. The order value is in the mid three-digit million EUR range. The framework agreement was concluded in December and has a term of five years.

The five years framework contract provides for the delivery of 155mm M2005 V-LAP (Velocity Enhanced Long Range Artillery Projectile) projectiles, M92 modular charges and various fuzes. The 155mm M2005 V-LAP projectile features a high fragmentation effect as well as extended range through rocket and base bleed technology. The rocket assist V-LAP projectile together with the Assegai M92 tactical charges features barrel erosion and muzzle signature reducer properties. It is designed according to the NATO Joint Ballistics Memorandum of Under¬standing (JBMoU) requirements and qualified according to STANAG guidelines. The ammunition is already deployed in several NATO countries.

“We are proud to support our long-time NATO partner with Rheinmetall‘s world leading long range artillery suite. Framework agreements provide long-term ammunition supply assurance and a flexible system for procuring ammunition over the course of a year”, stated Jan-Patrick Helmsen, CEO of Rheinmetall Denel Munition. “The rocket assist V-lap together with the tactical assegai charges M92 with barrel wearer reducer and muzzle flash reducer will support both the soldiers in the battlefield and the logistics and maintenance troops.”

The M2005 HE V-LAP projectile is at the forefront of modern artillery technology and provides an extended range interdiction capability against soft targets and soft skinned vehicles as well as the disruption of logistical supply lines beyond the close battlefield. The M2005 projectile can be used with suitable NATO standard fuzes and JBMoU compatible modular charge systems and can be fired from any compatible 155mm weapon system. Sweden, Germany, United Kingdom jointly acquire 436 BAE Systems BvS10 all- terrain vehicles

Monday, December 19th, 2022

STOCKHOLM, Sweden — Dec. 16 2022— Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom have reached an agreement with BAE Systems to purchase 436 BvS10 all-terrain vehicles. The joint procurement, worth $760 million, is in support of Arctic operations for the Collaborative All- Terrain Vehicle (CATV) program.

BAE Systems’ military all-terrain vehicles are designed for operations in the harshest and most remote environments and this agreement signals the Company’s position as the defense industry’s leader for these capabilities.

“We‘re seeing increased interest from numerous countries for the extreme mobility capabilities offered by the BvS10 and its unarmored sister vehicle, Beowulf,” said Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, managing director of BAE Systems Hägglunds, which manufactures the vehicles in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. “Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom will be getting an excellent return on their investment in these highly capable vehicles for decades to come. This further demonstrates the strong relationship between BAE Systems and our customers to deliver these critical capabilities.”

The three-nation acquisition will deliver the 436 vehicles beginning in 2024, with 236 BvS10s going to the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV), 140 to the German Federal Ministry of Defence (BAAINBw), and 60 to the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (MoD). The vehicles are based on the latest version of the BvS10 currently operated by Sweden, and will include variants for troop transport, logistics, medical evacuation, recovery, and command and control.

The CATV program includes a framework agreement that could lead to the purchase of more vehicles by the three nations, keeping the BvS10, the world’s leading all-terrain vehicle, in production for many years to come. Sweden is the lead nation and has established a joint procurement office to lead the effort with representatives from all three nations.

This acquisition follows Sweden’s order last year of an additional 127 BvS10 all-terrain vehicles for its existing fleet. In parallel to this agreement, Sweden is also procuring an additional 40 BvS10s in a separate contract valued at approximately $50 million.

The BvS10 and Beowulf are the world leaders when it comes to all-terrain solutions. Their articulated mobility systems provide optimal maneuverability across varying terrains so they can traverse snow, ice, rock, sand, mud or swamps, as well as steep mountain environments. The vehicles’ amphibious feature also allow them to swim in flooded areas or coastal waters.

The vehicles can deliver personnel and supplies to sustain strategic, tactical, and operational mobility.

BvS10’s unprecedented mobility is based on terrain accessible North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) standards. Its modular design allows it to be reconfigured for varying missions and can be delivered in multiple variants that include carrying personnel, command and control, ambulance, vehicle repair and recovery, logistics support, situational awareness, and a weapons carrier with additional mortar capability.

BvS10 is currently operated by Austria, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. BAE Systems’ Beowulf, the unarmored variant of the BvS10, won the U.S. Army’s competition for its Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) program in August. The U.S. Army will receive 110 vehicles over a five-year period.

Bushnell and Hoppe’s Shooters Represent United States at World Shoot XIX

Monday, December 19th, 2022

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – December 15, 2022 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, along with Hoppe’s®, the No.1 name in gun care products, congratulate pro shooters Jessie Harrison, KC Eusebio and Maggie Reese for their impressive performances representing Team USA at the 2022 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XIX. The competition took place November 27 – December 3, 2022, in Pattaya, Thailand.

Harrison, a sponsored shooter for both Bushnell and Hoppe’s, helped her team bring home the gold medal in the Ladies Open Team division. In the individual Ladies Open competition, Harrison earned an impressive second place finish using the Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight. Meanwhile, fellow Bushnell and Hoppe’s teammate Reese, competed in the Production Division and helped her team take home the bronze medal. In the individual men’s competition, Bushnell Pro Eusebio took fourth place overall in the Open division using a prototype of a new Bushnell red dot against a stacked field of competitors.

“After waiting five years for this competition, Thailand delivered one of the best world championships I’ve had the privilege to shoot,” Harrison said. “To represent the United States of America on the largest platform available in this sport will always be the greatest honor! We’re bringing home the gold medal for Ladies Open Team and I couldn’t be more proud. This is by far the best team I’ve ever competed with, each lady bringing a skill and talent to the team that was needed!”

During the match, Harrison used her trusted Bushnell First Strike 2.0 reflex sight. The legacy red dot has been used by Harrison throughout the 2022 season, assisting her with multiple wins on the regional, national and world circuit. Harrison believes the red dot’s large objective lens and bright, daylight settings of illumination make it perfectly matched for fast paced action-pistol competitions.

Eusebio, who competed in the individual Open division, elected to use a yet-to-be-released red dot from Bushnell. Eusebio has been working with Bushnell throughout the development of the new dot and is excited to continue competing with it during the 2023 season. The new red dot is set to make its official debut in January.

“The new prototype red dot from Bushnell worked above and beyond my expectations,” said Eusebio. “This dot has everything I’ve been seeking, from its large field of view and robust housing to clean, clear glass with a crisp, perfect dot. I’m absolutely in love with it.”

Eusebio continued, “I had a lot of people asking about the new dot and wanting to know more details. However, all I could tell them is that they would just have to wait and see what Bushnell has in store.”
