Savage Arms Now Shipping Stance Models with 10-Round Capacity

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – July 25, 2022 –Savage Arms is now shipping 9mm Stance models with magazines allowing for additional capacities of up to 10 rounds.

New MMRB-556 Rifle

Custombilt Firearms Manufacturing (KS) is releasing a new variant of their MMR (Modern Minuteman Rifle) series.

Introducing the MMRB-556 rifle. The MMRB variant features a nitrided, 1:7 twist, 16” mid-length barrel that they OEM from Ballistic Advantage with a pinned F type front sight block. Custombilt drills and pins their sight blocks in house to ensure the most level, and true front sight block possible. The MMRB-556 features a matched nitrided 9310 bolt, and 8620 carrier. Finally, all MMRB series rifles ship with a Badger Ordnance Gen 2 charging handle latch.

The MMRB-556 is Custombilt’s entry-level price point rifle, and ships with magpul furniture including an SL handguard, making this an ideal choice for a patrol/defense rifle without breaking the bank.

SilencerCo Launches New Osprey 2.0 with Enhanced Usability

July 25, 2022 — West Valley City, UT — SilencerCo is launching a 2.0 version of their iconic Osprey 9 and Osprey 45 suppressors. The Osprey 2.0 has the addition of one very important feature – a button. This button will enhance the user experience and make this suppressor easier to use (and it looks better than ever). The Osprey 2.0 will begin shipping this month.

The Osprey 2.0 uses a single button to properly index to a host firearm. This will make the Osprey more robust, more reliable and allow for a quick and secure alignment. It will also make the suppressor more repeatable, meaning the shooter will be able to consistently put it in the same position on every firearm. Previous Osprey versions used a lever mechanism to align the suppressor.

Aside from the magic button, everything else about the Osprey 2.0 is essentially the same as the original. It still has the same impressive sound signature and eccentric design to accommodate standard pistol sights.

“Our goal is to create the best user experience possible,” said SilencerCo Product Manager, Andrew Herbst. “By simplifying the indexing system on the Osprey, we have taken a top performing product and made it quicker and easier to use.”

One thing customers need to keep in mind is that the Osprey 2.0 is not retrofittable with old Osprey parts. Due to the placement of the ATF required serial number on the back cap, anyone needing to send in their original Osprey to SilencerCo’s Warranty department will receive a repaired suppressor with the same lever mechanism. Customers will continue to be taken care of and can have their original Osprey serviced, it just won’t be replaced with the new button system.

Aero Precision Partners with the Second Amendment Foundation to Help the Fight Against Gun Control in Washington State

To raise funds to combat the recent standard capacity magazine ban (SB 5078) in the State of Washington, we at Aero Precision partnered with the Second Amendment Foundation to sell specially marked 30-round magazines. The net profits from each of these magazines sold have been donated to the Second Amendment Foundation raising a total of $28,120 for the fight against this unconstitutional law.

This fundraiser worked to not only generate money for this fight but also played a key part in our effort to get more standard capacity magazines into the hands of Washington State residents before the ban took effect.

Being a Washington-based firearms manufacturer we at Aero Precision want to ensure we are taking actions with a measurable impact beyond just building awareness. While the fight to preserve the Second Amendment is national, we believe the need to dig in at a local level is imperative. The Shoulder Retrofit Kit for the Crye Precision AVS allows for ideal ride height adjustment on the rear platebag when not using the AVS Harness and adds a side release buckle to the front plate bag for easier donning/doffing.

The Velcro Cummerbund Retrofit (VCR) is an adapter designed to mount the Equinox Cummerbund to loop-backed rear plate bags.
