Thyrm Introduces the CellVault-18

Monday, September 14th, 2020

Sunnyvale, CA — Not long ago, the best tactical lights were fueled by CR123 batteries. We were all generally happy with 600 lumens and an extra budget line item for disposable cells. But in the last couple years that has changed completely. Enter the latest 18650 and 18350 rechargeable batteries, generating huge lumen and candela numbers in SureFire, Modlite, & Streamlight flashlights. To keep up with these lights, Thyrm has developed a next-generation CellVault that can protect 18-series spare batteries while keeping them immediately accessible.

From Andrew Frazier, CEO of Thyrm: “The new CellVault-18 includes features we know our customers are going to love, like side windows that help them verify gear status, a metal locking latch, and fully waterproof double-layer construction. We’re really proud of how the design came together and can’t wait to get them in the hands of first-responders and outdoor enthusiasts alike.”

Features:
• Holds One 18650 or Two 18350 Rechargeable Batteries
• Waterproof O-ring seal rated to IPX8 at 2 meters for 30+ minutes
• Folding metal latch for simple installation and positive attachment
• Silicone foam shock absorber/noise silencer
• Clear side windows allow for gear status checks
• Slim profile: less than 1 MOLLE/PALS column wide for easy integration into existing gear configurations.
• Designed and manufactured in the USA

DoD Funds Development of DroneShield’s C2 System

Sunday, September 13th, 2020

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO) (“DroneShield” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce it has received funding from the United States Department of Defense (“DoD”) for targeted development of its DroneShieldCompleteTM Command-and-Control (“C2”) system.

The section of the DoD, which has awarded the contract, is a new customer for DroneShied. The funding was awarded through a sole source contract.

DroneShieldCompleteTM is an intuitive and feature rich C2, providing real time alerting, tracking and reporting information for native DroneShield as well as third party sensors. The DoD is working with DroneShield, providing funding for an agreed list of feature enhancements, for a project expected to span over several months. Importantly, following that period, the DoD is expected to make multiple purchases of DroneShield’s C-UAS equipment, which would run on the enhanced DroneShieldCompleteTM C2.

Oleg Vornik, DroneShield’s CEO, has commented, “We are proud to be working with the United States Department of Defense, one of most demanding defence customers globally, on this project to ensure our DroneShieldCompleteTM C2 stays at the cutting edge of customer requirements. Further, this project underscores our leadership not only as a product/sensor manufacturer, but also as an integrator of fixed site and mobile C-UAS systems. This contract is a material milestone in cementing our close working relationship with the largest defence customer globally. In addition to expected purchases associated with this paid development contract, further orders for other DroneShield solutions are expected as part of developing a trusted supplier relationship with this customer.”

Whilst the Company is unable to precisely quantify the follow up orders, it expects the orders to be material and will in due course provide an update on the dollar amounts to the market, when available.

Black Collar Arms Forged Carbon Fiber Components

Thursday, September 10th, 2020

Austin, TX (09/07/2020) — Originally developed as a joint effort between Lamborghini and Callaway Golf Company, the forged carbon fiber process can produce complex shapes one-third the weight of titanium, yet stronger. Partnering with manufacturing company McVick, Black Collar Arms is excited to bring the world of forged carbon fiber components to a firearm near you.

Available first are Forged Carbon Fiber One-Piece Scope Mounts in 30mm and 34mm ring sizes. Despite weighing in at a scant 5.2 ounces, these forged carbon fiber scope mounts are as stiff and rigid as if they were machined from steel (three times stiffer than aluminum!) with just 1/6th the thermal expansion of aluminum.

These are the most rigid scope mounts on the market and maintain flawless zero in any condition. As if the gorgeous carbon fiber aesthetic wasn’t enough!

Forged Carbon Fiber One-Piece Scope Mounts are the first in an upcoming line of forged carbon fiber components currently being designed by Black Collar to be manufactured by McVick exclusively for Black Collar. Expect further optic mounting solutions plus other accessories and components, including AR-15 parts.

Quality is extremely high, but current production capacity is low. Mount availability will be rather limited with small batches arriving at Black Collar weekly while we gradually invest in increasing capacity.

Despite the limited and exclusive nature of the Forged Carbon Fiber One-Piece Scope Mounts and their physical advantages over aluminum mounts, not to mention their drop-dead gorgeous looks, MSRP is in-line with other premium scope mounts.

Introducing the Newest Reebok Work Sublite Cushion Footwear: EXOFUSE

Thursday, September 10th, 2020

St. Louis, MO (September 9, 2020) – Warson Brands, official licensee of Reebok for occupational footwear, introduces the Exofuse extension of the wildly-popular and industry-leading Reebok Sublite Cushion Work line of work shoes. The series includes two styles of athletic work shoes.

The Reebok Sublite Cushion Work incorporates a Sublite foam midsole to maximize cushioning while minimizing weight.  A proprietary blend of lightweight foams create the Sublite midsole, which achieves maximum lightness with a soft underfoot feel.  Deep flex grooves in the midsole allow for natural movement of the foot and greater range of motion.  At the heel and toe are rubber pads for stopping power and takeoff propulsion.

“The Reebok Sublite Cushion Work is our lightest series of work footwear”, says John Duvic, VP of Product Development at Warson Brands.  “Industrial workers are on their feet all day carrying heavy loads for their job, so we wanted to create one piece of equipment that wouldn’t weight them down.  The Sublite Cushion Work is it. With these latest two models, we added an Exofuse water resistant microfiber upper and extra slip-resistant traction at the heel and forefoot.  This is a great shoe for anyone around chemicals, water, grease, and oil.”

The Sublite Cushion Work also features a MemoryTech Massage 2.0 footbed that adapts to the unique contours of the foot.  A lightweight XTR® Brand alloy toe cap provides plenty of room in the toebox while meeting or exceeding ASTM F2413 safety standards.  The RB4050 and RB4051 both provide electrical hazard protection and are metal free.

Reebok work footwear and the Sublite Cushion Work series are available through select retailers throughout the United States and at www.reebokwork.com

Brownells Donates $50K to CRPA for Standard Capacity Magazine Fight

Thursday, September 10th, 2020

GRINNELL, Iowa (September 8, 2020) – Brownells is donating $50,000 to the California Rifle & Pistol Association to help fund the fight to restore freedom and standard-capacity magazines to California gun owners.

In August, a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit upheld a previous decision against California’s ban on magazines in the Duncan v. Becerra case. The panel determined a ban on magazines with capacity of over 10 rounds violates the 2nd Amendment rights of Californians.

In an effort to delay striking down California’s draconian magazine ban, the California Attorney General’s office petitioned for an en banc review of panel’s ruling, extending the struggle for California gun owners to regain their Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

To help see that struggle through to a victorious finish, Brownells is contributing $50,000 for CRPA’s efforts to the cause.

“The California Rifle & Pistol Association Foundation is proud of the partnership with Brownells to fight for the rights of all Americans to exercise their Second Amendment rights,” said CRPA Foundation Director of Development Rick Travis. “Brownells’ generous donation will be used 100% in the fight to see the Duncan v. Becerra case to a successful conclusion in restoring the Second Amendment in California.”

If the rulings against California’s magazine ban are upheld, they could serve as precedent in similar decisions against other similar bans enacted by anti-gun politicians in other states.
