AIMPOINT Broadens COA and A-CUT Adoption Across Leading Pistol Brands

Tuesday, January 20th, 2026

Las Vegas, NV, January 20, 2026 During the NSSF SHOT Show, Aimpoint announces a significant expansion of its COA® pistol red dot sight through a growing network of OEM partners. The COA optic is offered as a factory-installed package, with pistols shipping directly from manufacturers equipped with the optic via Aimpoint’s integrated A-CUT® interface.

This expansion represents a major step forward in Aimpoint’s strategy to redefine the standard for pistol-mounted optics. By offering a direct-mount solution engineered specifically for duty-grade performance, the A-CUT system delivers enhanced durability, consistency, and performance for professional and civilian end users alike.

Aimpoint has licensed the use of the A-CUT with major firearm and accessory manufacturers, including many of the most prominent handgun manufacturers in the market. Additional factory-installed pistol and COA combinations are planned throughout the year, reinforcing Aimpoint’s objective to establish A-CUT as the industry standard for optic mounting on pistols.

A-CUT is a slide-integrated mounting interface that mechanically locks the optic in place, stabilizing it in all directions and eliminating movement under recoil. This mechanically locked interface removes the shear forces normally placed on screws in traditional optic mounts. By utilizing a front hook and rear locking wedge and enabling a low-profile installation, A-CUT ensures consistent alignment, durability, and co-witness capability.

In addition to factory-installed OEM packages, COA will also be available as a standalone pistol sight. This option is intended for users who wish to install COA on an existing pistol. As COA requires an A-CUT interface, installation is carried out by licensed gunsmiths authorized to mill A-CUT. Aimpoint is rolling out a licensing program for professional gunsmiths, with applications available via Aimpoint’s website.

NP Aerospace enters full rate production with their Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 armoured vehicle

NP Aerospace, the global vehicle integrator and armour manufacturer, has announced the entry into full rate production, with their upgraded armoured Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 vehicle. NP Aerospace acquired the IP for this product, along with certain other assets of Jankel Armouring Limited from Administration, in 2024. Since then, NP Aerospace has applied their acclaimed vehicle engineering and integration, production and supply chain skill sets to this vehicle to reach this important production milestone.

In October 2025 NP Aerospace launched their LC300 product as a significantly refined and upgraded NP Aerospace platform and having recently completed Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) they are entering their full rate programme, from January 2026. With the current contracted orders and the future product sales pipeline, NP Aerospace are expecting to produce over 100 LC300 vehicles over the next 12-18 months. This announcement coincides with the International Armoured Vehicles (IAV) Conference taking place in Farnborough, 20-22 January 26, where NP Aerospace will have a team in attendance.

Delivering unprecedented levels of protection, functionality and reliability based upon many years of user feedback, the NP Aerospace LC300 is being sought after and contracted by a multitude of global defence ministries and Non-Government Organisations (NGO’s). Having qualified the LC300 to the latest Edition 3 of the international VPAM BRV and ERV (VR7) standards as well as PAS 300 ballistic and blast and PAS 301 vehicle performance criteria, NP Aerospace has ensured the platform provides optimum protection and remains road-legal for NATO and European-based NGO customers, maximising the export potential to wider international user groups. The vehicle was the very first to be certified to VPAM VR7 BRV and ERV with a 2m side blast with a third row of seats in accordance with Edition 3 which uses biofidelic dummies, to understand the true impacts to the vehicle occupants.

As well as entire armoured vehicle products, such as the LC300, add-on or “applique” armour systems is a service provided by NP Aerospace. Integrated add-on armour systems include: internal spall liners; external applique; and seating systems to counter a range of ballistic and blast threats. NP’s survivability services are cross-OEM and global, ranging from Civilian Armoured Vehicles (CAVs) through logistic and utility vehicles to full armoured fighting systems.

NP Aerospace has been selected as the armouring partner by a number of OEM prime contractors, globally, to design and deliver such add-on systems. In May 2025, NPA announced a contract for Armoured Personnel Transport Modules (APTM) being delivered, through Marshall Canada, to the Power Team for the Canadian LVM programme -Canada’s solution for logistic vehicle procurement. There is another significant vehicle armour contract due to be announced imminently – further underlining NP’s position as the survivability partner of choice.

David Petheram, MD & SVP, NP Aerospace Vehicle Systems, Services and Spares said: “we’ve worked very hard to ensure our newly upgraded armoured LC300 is suitably prepared in all regards to enter full rate production this month. Specifically, our integration, production and supply chain skill sets have been applied to this project to optimise the benefits to the procurer, the fleet manager and the user. What we now have is an excellent platform when viewed from all perspectives and we’re pleased to be able to offer it to global markets. The Civilian Armoured Vehicle (CAV) market offers great growth potential and is a significant area of focus for us as we continue to expand our team.”

DRYOUT Pioneers the Future of Moisture Removal to Safeguard Electronics, Defense and Outdoor Gear

Monday, January 19th, 2026

Breakthrough technology absorbs moisture dramatically faster than existing solutions, helping safeguard equipment in real?world conditions
DRAPER, Utah (Jan. 15, 2025) — Pioneering a new category of moisture management for gear and equipment, DRYOUT, a groundbreaking new advanced materials brand launching in 2026, offers a way to more effectively protect and rescue critical gear after exposure to the elements.

DRYOUT technology helps protect everything from electronics, cell phones, tablets, earbuds, and battery packs to photo/video gear, firearms, optics, night vision goggles, drone controllers, ammunition, medical devices, tools, and more. It provides active moisture protection during enclosed storage and carry, including use in cases, bags, pouches, packs and similar items.

Launching in January and available in a wide range of consumer and military products later this spring, DRYOUT technology is a patented, super-absorbent layered construction that is engineered into a range of different types of storage and carry solutions. Its unique pairing of materials results in unprecedented ability to actively pull and trap moisture at a higher rate of speed than traditional desiccants.

The DRYOUT brand will exhibit the technology to potential brand partners and defense organizations at SHOW Show in Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 20-23.

“Moisture is one of the most persistent and expensive threats to mission-critical gear, whether that mission is outdoor adventure, hunting, traveling, military, aerospace, or just daily life with electronic devices,” said Romney Williams, CEO of DRYOUT. “Until now, there hasn’t been an electricity-free moisture-management solution this powerful, reusable, or versatile.”

Using its proprietary dual-action technology, DRYOUTactively pulls and traps moisture, holding it away from gear. The trapped moisture can later be released from the DRYOUT material, so it can be reused indefinitely to defend equipment from rust, corrosion, condensation, fogging, ingress, and electrical failure. This powerful performance is achieved by DRYOUT’s advanced design, which combines a moisture-wicking nylon exterior with a patented core of moisture absorption materials to create a layered construction where each layer plays a critical role in working together to move and manage moisture.

A 6-by-12 inch DRYOUT panel — roughly the amount used to protect gear the size of a tablet, handgun or a VR headset — absorbs up to 3,400 times more moisture than a silica gel packet — what most people call to mind when they think of desiccants — and 15.3 times more than a silica gel canister and 10.2 times more than a plug-in dehumidifier.

A 6-by-12 inch DRYOUT panel has an absorption capacity of up to 32.4 grams of moisture or 667 drops of water, a capacity that increases as panels increase in size.

DRYOUT can pull moisture up to 8 inches away from a wet hard good, helping protect gear without needing direct contact.

It actively eliminates “fog cycles” in camera lenses, night vision goggles, and thermal imaging cameras, helping maintain clear optics in high-stakes conditions.

DRYOUT is easily reset for repeat use in as little as 30 minutes by exposing it to sunlight, controlled heat, or airflow, thereby reducing waste and total cost of ownership.

While traditional desiccants only passively absorb humidity, DRYOUT is the only reusable technology that actively pulls moisture out of wet gear, then absorbs and locks it away — without power, chemicals, or single-use waste.

DRYOUT partners with consumer brands, OEMs, Tier 1 government suppliers, and government and defense agencies that require high-reliability solutions. DRYOUT offers a collaborative design, development, and production service to enable partners to ideate, test, and bring DRYOUT-enabled products to market fast and efficiently.

Interested customers can visit DRYOUT.com for more information.
