The Tasmanian Tiger TT Modular Daypacks

The Tasmanian Tiger® daypacks in L and XL have a military pedigree but sport a casual, everyday carry look for business or pleasure.

Miramar, Fla. (December 2019) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., offer day warriors every-day-carry backpacks that don’t scream tactical but performs like a professional, the TT Modular Daypack L, and the TT Modular Daypack XL.

Both built on a Thermo Mold Carrying system, the daypacks ergonomically conform to the wearer’s body, providing all-day comfort without added weight, and its smooth surface makes it easy to wipe down. The daypacks are totally fit adjustable with a height-adjustable chest belt and detachable compression straps. A rugged carrying handle provides another option for carrying on both daypacks.

A flat front pocket with YKK zipper makes an easy-access pocket for documents. Laser-cut MOLLE on the front and sides of the daypacks allow the user to totally customize them with additional gear, whether one is taking the pack on a hike or an overnight business meeting.

Inside the main compartment, on the backside, the daypack is lined with more MOLLE hook panels to attach compatible loop pouches, keeping gear organized and easily accessed. The XL model is also designed to hold a 15.4” laptop, safely and securely. Additionally, the XL model is compatible with hydration systems (not included).

The TT Modular Daypack L has a 15-liter volume capacity, and the TT Modular Daypack XL has a 23-liter volume capacity, making both large enough for everyday gear without being cumbersome. New Backplate for Masterpiece Arms Pistols for Use with a Brace

EZ Accuracy introduces the MPA Backplate, an adapter to use a folding brace on new Masterpiece Arms pistols

WARMINSTER, Pennsylvania- 4December2019- EZ Accuracy, a gunsmith shop and innovator of firearms tools and accessories, announced today the release of a backplate that directly attaches to new Masterpiece Arms pistols. When installed, a Magpul 3-slot Rail Section can be attached so that any brace that connects to a picatinny rail can be mounted.

“The idea came from a local gun shop owner,” says Eric Feldman, owner of EZ Accuracy. “Once we completed the design and had some prototypes made, we realized how good the set up worked. MPA did a great job bringing this pistol back. It’s a simple design the works effectively and with the added brace, becomes a very stable platform.” The MPA Backplate is manufactured in the USA from solid aluminum and then hard anodized for a finish that will last.

With the recent popularity of pistol caliber carbines and braced pistols, this is a great addition to the market as it comes in at a lower price than some of the other big names on the market. United States Patent & Trademark Office Upholds Validity of FirstSpear Patents

FirstSpear, LLC is pleased to announce that on November 22, 2019, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”) of the United States Patent & Trademark Office rejected Crye Precision, LLC’s petitions challenging the validity of FirstSpear’s U.S. Patents related to FirstSpear’s innovations in laser-cut and laser-fused personal protective equipment (PPE) and load bearing equipment (LBE). FirstSpear’s patented technology is already in use in products purchased by and widely used by US Special Operations, the US Army, the US Marine Corps, the Department of Justice, and many of our NATO allies. The decisions of the PTAB uphold the validity of FirstSpear’s patents and find that Crye’s petitions failed to establish any reasonable likelihood of unpatentability of any of the claims of the FirstSpear patents. The decisions dismiss both of Crye’s inter partes review (IPR) petitions and reject all of Crye’s arguments attacking FirstSpear’s patents. (U.S. Pat. Nos. 9,974,379 and 9,565,922).

Crye filed the petitions in June 2019, in an apparent attempt to gain leverage over FirstSpear in patent litigation pending in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis in which Crye claimed that some of FirstSpear’s products infringe their U.S. Patent 9,173,436. The recent decisions from the PTAB clearly demonstrate what the industry has understood for years: FirstSpear pioneered and perfected many game-changing products developed around laser cut / laser fused technology, including FirstSpear’s well-established 6/12 line of vest platforms; and FirstSpear’s technology was and is unique and was appropriately and properly granted U.S. patent protection.

“It is unfortunate that Crye has chosen to waste so much time and money threatening the industry, tying up the U.S. courts and patent office, and trying to take credit for the work of others,” said FirstSpear CEO & President Scott Carver. “However, we can now fully move forward assisting the U.S. government and our industry partners in the development and fielding of the next generation of improved lightweight individual equipment to the warfighters and first responders who need it.”
