Like the Crye/DriFire FR combat uniform collaboration released a few years ago, these new Field Uniforms are manufactured using the exacting Crye Precision cut and even carry the Crye Precision label. They are also Berry compliant.
The uniforms are made with DriFire’s durable and comfortable Fortrex fabric which is not only FR but also moisture wicking and includes odor control. They are also offered in the full CP size range which is prefect for those who are running a uniform program. Warrior West Update
Friday, April 14th, 2017I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at next week’s Warrior West Expo, April 19th & 20th in San Diego, CA. If you haven’t preregistered, get on it. You’ll still be able to register in site but the process will go faster if you do it before hand. Registration closes Sunday at 2359 EDT.
I’d also like to update you on the schedule for the Marina Village demos. They’ll be Wednesday: 11 – 12 & 2 – 3 and Thursday: 11 – 12. You’ll get a chance for some hands-on time with remote operated, unmanned underwater and surface vehicles. Additionally, WING will be offering boat rides in the harbor and Mustang Survival is providing PFDs, while KokoKat is letting people demo dry gear.
Warrior West gets better and better each year. In addition to a cool T-shirt, attendees have access to the latest gear on the market as well as training programs and seminars. Check Out BERG At Warrior West
Friday, March 31st, 2017At Warrior West you’ll be able to check out a demo of BERG’s 20’ expandable E2S2 Dental Shelter used in the National Guard for Periodic Health Assessments (PHA). Use of these shelters has significantly increased mission readiness and decreased the cost of outsourcing medical care. What’s more, these shelters can be setup in 15 minutes or less and are perfect for not interrupting training to conduct field maintenance or medical support.
Generally, these are deployed in sets of four and used in conjunction with one another.
The ANG/Reserve PHA/PDA Portable Solution includes these capabilities:

Warrior West To Showcase Maritime Capabilities

Kelty Tactical – Berry Compliant Falcon 4000 Pack
Monday, March 20th, 2017During the recent Ft Bragg Warfighter Expo, sponsored by ADS, I found out that the USAF’s 820th Base Defense Group just fielded the newly Berry Compliant Falcon 4000 daypack. It is a hybrid top and panel loader.
Additionally, the top flap is removable and can be used as a waist or shoulder pack on its own.
In the event you separate the top flap, there is a simple, low-profile hood which can be deployed to close the top opening which features a PALS field.

Med Sled – Vertical Lift Rescue Litter
Monday, March 20th, 2017Another one of the products I got a chance to check out during the Ft Bragg Warfighter Expo last week is Med Sled. It’s an evacuation sled for patients. In particular, this is the Vertical Lift Rescue variant.
Right off the bat, I need to acknowledge the elephant in the room. If you know anything at all about tactical medical equipment, you’re going to take one look at this and say to yourself, “Skedco,” which has dominated the market for decades. The reality is that both use a large HDPE plastic sheet and lots of webbing. The difference, is how each one of those products uses those materials.
The Sled Sled relies on the plastic to bear weight, with the strap system connected to the sheet. Med Sled supports the patient via the webbing which weaves in and out of the plastic. The plastic works to protect the patient from abrasion from ground and webbing alike. When in the vertical lift mode, the patient is secured in the seat seen in the photo below which easily straps into place. The straps all terminate at a bridle at the head of the litter.
They are available in 28″ and 36″ versions. Additionally, they offer an instant float system which straps right onto the litter and actuated via CO2 cartridges.
