FUSION, by Unity Tactical, is a system of modular, multi-purpose components that provide end users unparalleled flexibility in mounting accessories to weapon platforms. It offers complete control in attachment of lights, lasers, sights, and other equipment to achieve complete integration, optimal placement, lightest weight, and most economy of space.
This FUSION configuration features the Micro Hub 2.0, Backup Iron Sight – Folding, and Lightwing – Right. As configured in the photos, it creates a perfect combination for a laser, light, and BUIS. The Micro Hub 2.0 is ambidextrous and can set the accessory mounting surface on either the right or left side of the host rail and can be placed in front or behind a laser. Placing it behind allows the laser to be put at the very front of the rail with no interference. The Back Up Iron Sight – Folding will completely clear laser apertures if placed in front of a laser module, but some users prefer to have the laser as far forward as possible to facilitate manual operation. The LightWing – Right will cantilever a weapon light forward if placed on the right side of the rifle. It will also accept a direct mount Surefire Scout or Millennium series light as well as Streamlight PRO-TAC Rails Mount lights. This configuration will push the light forward so it is in line with the laser. The LightWing will also raise the light above the bore, so it is not obstructed by barricades.
FUSION components are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and MILSPEC Type 3 anodized. Designed and made in the US from US materials and good ole’ fashioned American innovation. FUSION is the original and best modular accessory mounting system. Make your gear work for you, not the other way around.
FUSION components are available from Unity Tactical and authorized dealers to build your perfect setup.
Magpul has just announced the release of limited quantities and styles of their highly anticipated Pro 700. Specifically, the folding stock variant in Black.
A lot of work has gone into this thing. In fact, four years worth. The Pro 700 is a precision rifle chassis for short action Remington 700 actions and other Remington 700 footprint actions.
It is based on a full billet aluminum skeleton, covered in polymer. It is also fully ambidextrous. As Magpul claims, “lefties” haven’t been “left out.” It accommodates both right and left-handed actions with the simple swap of a bolt-cutout plate, and features a reversible cheek riser and reversible hinge on the folding version.
Features:
•Type III hard anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum V-bedding block, body, adjustment knobs and forend with high strength injection molded polymer body covers optimally placed for comfort and aesthetics
• Ambidextrous bedding block can be changed by swapping the QD sling swivel plate and bolt retainer insert for left or right hand actions using a 1/8” hex wrench
• Folding stock with push-button activated durable cast 4140 steel hinge with Melonite® finish is reversible for left or right folding capability with the use of a 5/32” hex wrench. A fixed stock adapter is available for a non-folding stock solution
• Folding stock is also designed to avoid interference with the bolt handle when folded and is compatible with a large variety of aftermarket bolt knobs and handles• An NVD clip on mounting rail solution is available• Overall LOP adjustment range is 13.25” – 15.125”
• Butt pad height can be adjusted up 1.33” and down .90” and is adjustable left or right for a total of 5 degrees
• Comb height adjustment has a 1” range with a secondary locking knob to eliminate movement in the cheek riser
• Cheek riser features a 3-position fore/aft adjustment of +.375”, 0” and -.375” which can also be changed for left or right side usage using only a common hex wrench
• Injection molded polymer grip with 5 degree forward edge sweep and enlarged palm swell with 7 degree aft edge sweep for enhanced user comfort combined with a .75” fore/aft adjustment range using a common hex wrench
• Additional grip option included with a more aggressive sweep and enlarged palm swell for the shooter that is more inclined to a less vertical grip interface (8 degree forward / 20 degree aft edge sweep)
• Durable cast steel rotation limited QD sling swivel mounts with Melonite® finish fits up to 1.5” push button swivels
• M-LOK® slots for accessory mounting on the forend (left-6/right-6/bottom-7) and the stock (bottom-2)
• Integrated AICS pattern magazine well of reinforced polymer construction optimized for PMAG® 5 & PMAG® 10 7.62 AC™ magazines as well as most other AICS pattern short action magazines
• Large trigger guard allows for use with gloves and accepts most factory and aftermarket curved or flat triggers
• Low-profile, anti-snag ambidextrous magazine release is made of Melonite® treated steel for wear and corrosion resistance
Although the Pro 700 is offered in Black, Flat Dark Earth and OD Green, it’s currently only available in Black, with other colors shipping soon.
Additionally, Magpul is releasing their Pro Night Vision Mount today.
I’m told by Magpul that other accessories, such as the Magpul Pro FHA – Folding Hinge Adapter and the Magpul Pro FSA – Fixed Stock Adapter as well as the complete Fixed Stock Pro 700 will come very soon.

I love seeing innovative work around for foolish gun laws. Although the Gen 2 AR15 Spade Grip from KNS Precision has been around for awhile, it fits the bill for those who live in areas with firearm feature-focused restrictions. Plus, it looks like a lot of fun.
This newer version of the Spade Grip will fit both semi-auto and full-auto platforms and allows the use of after market enhanced trigger guards and billet receivers which have the trigger guard built in.

It would seem that Outdoor Retailer is the last place I’d learn about a new optics mount. But when you realize it’s now held in Denver, which is just up the road from Fort Carson and it’s tenant, the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), it makes complete sense.
During a reception one evening, a couple of ADS employees told me about a new optics mount called the Multi Use Block. It is manufactured by a company founded by a team of Veteran and Active Duty Soldiers called appropriately enough, The MUB, LLC.
The device itself is multifaceted. First off, both Manfrotto and Arca Swiss attachments are machined into the base, to accommodate the direct attachment for either style of tripod.
Next, you’ll notice a large cavity down the middle of the MUB which facilitates bore sighting. Additionally, either the LaRue spotter Kit or Badger Ordnance SLICK mount will attach directly to the top of the MUB via a Picatinny mount. You’ll also notice a level built into the rear of the base.
What’s more, the MUB will work with a Hog Saddle or RRS Vyce-style gun clamp. The MUB was built tall enough to still work inside a Hog Saddle without the throw levers being hindered by the height of the walls on the Saddle.
PRS competitors have also used the MUB attached to the bottom of their rifle chassis handguard to gain additional purchase on various obstacles.
The MUB may be used with an accessory rail called the Wing which mounts in a perpendicular orientation, offering space for additional target acquisition systems.
MUB is also designed to be a completely tool-less device. The Picatinny rail locking bar can be adjusted without tools and the Wing has 2 x 1/4-20 thumb screws for a tool-less attachment of any sort.
The MUB weighs 14.4 oz with the Wing mounted. Made from 6061 Aluminum, the Wing itself weighs just 5 oz.
Finally, MUB is Made in America of 6061 die cast Aluminum, anodized in Gun Metal Black.

When I first saw TriggerShield at Triggrcon Range Day, I was understandably skeptical. It’s a hinged cover for the trigger to help avoid negligent discharges. Below, you see a prototype mounted to a Blue Gun.
Initially, TriggerShield is available for the AR family and mounted to both left and right sides of the rifle. Its spring loaded design doesn’t rotate upward more than 90 degrees so as not to over stress the springs. Additionally, it’s mounted to the weapon via replacement trigger pins. In this photo of inventor Ryan Richetti, you can see how the TriggerShield swings out of the way.
I fired a rifle with a TriggerShield mounted. I was surprised how easy it was to get to the trigger when I wanted.
While I am concerned that’s it’s a hardware solution to a software problem, I can see certain applications where it might be useful. I’m sure many in the Law Enforcement community would be against its use, but as it can be applied to a wide variety of firearms, it could be applied to weapons carried while in close proximity to bystanders. Additionally, some may want to use TriggerShield to avoid getting their trigger caught on equipment.
If anything, the device encourages debate.
The Multiuse Arca RC2 Connector (MARC) QD Plate from Hog Saddle is really two Quick Detach Plates in one.
It was designed to mount to both (1.5”/38mm) Arca-Swiss tripod clamps and legacy Manfrotto tripod heads that use RC2/200PL attachment plates.
The ultralight, Patent Pending design prevents horizontal movement with Manfrotto tripod heads, and accommodates for Arca-Swiss plate retention slots and Feisol retention plungers.
Features:
• CNC machined aluminum construction
• Hard anodized
• Stainless steel mounting screws 1/4-20 & 3/8-16
• Removable recessed retention bolts
• Center bolt capable for cameras and spotting scopes
• Dual bolt capable for HOG Saddle or PIG Saddle attachment
• Made in USA
SB Tactical continues to pump out new products to help the disabled enjoy their constitutional rights and confound the BATFE with their ingenuity. Their very latest is the FS1913 Pistol Stabilizing Brace, designed specifically for use with firearms with a Mil Std 1913 end Plate such as the SIG Rattler.
It’s a low-profile, left folding strut design and the steel hinge locks in both folded and extended positions.
