PMAG 30 AUS Gen M3

The PMAG 30 AUS GEN M3 Window is a 30-round 5.56×45 NATO polymer magazine for Steyr® AUG/F88/F90 compatible weapons that features transparent windows to allow rapid visual identification of approximate number of rounds remaining.

Similar to the GEN M3 PMAG for the AR15/M4, the PMAG 30 AUS features a long-life USGI-spec stainless steel spring, four-way anti-tilt follower and constant-curve internal geometry for reliable feeding, and simple tool-less disassembly to ease cleaning. In addition, low profile ribs and aggressive front and rear texture gives positive control in all environments, and a paint pen dot matrix has been added to the bottom panel of the body to allow easy marking by the end user for identification. The easy to disassemble GEN M3 flared floorplate aids in extraction and handling, and is slimmer than factory Steyr floorplates for better fit in magazine pouches.

Durable, dual-side transparent windows allow for quick determination of approximate number of rounds remaining in the magazine. Utilizing a high visibility indicator coil on the spring and numerical markers on the magazine body, the MagLevel™ system provides positive verification with the added benefit over translucent magazines of displaying round-count even when the cartridge stack is obscured within the magwell.

PRS QD Footman’s Loop

Originally made for a DoD contract, the PRS QD Footman’s Loop is a machined aluminum replacement sling mount for the original PRS Stock.

Featuring a 1.25” footman’s loop for direct attachment of webbing as well as an integrated push-button QD swivel socket, the PRS QD Footman’s Loop is easily installed and adds a new degree of sling mounting versatility to your precision rifle platform.

OSS Video Of US Govt. Agency Torture Test – Part 2

Friday, June 24th, 2016

MURRAY UT – Last week, Operators Suppressor Systems (OSS) announced the results and a video of recent testing by a US Government agency that compared an OSS Flow-Through suppressor with the current best-in-class baffle suppressor.

This week, some have had questions about the test agency, their methodology, and the results highlighted in our video. For those who are interested, OSS would like to provide additional background and details on the tests, the results and the video.

The Tests:

Last fall, in OSS’s ongoing collaboration with the US Government and Military, prototype OSS suppressors were tested and experienced a handful of heat-related fails to outer housings and internal components.

Armed with the testing data, the OSS R&D team refined and tested material and geometry mods to some suppressor components. Final prototyping was completed at the end of last year, and on January 6, 2016, the US Government agency responsible for determining “the next generation of small arms signature reduction” for SOF and tactical operators conducted a new test.

This test’s protocol and methodology was established by the agency and supervised by the agency’s personnel. Representatives from the various branches of the US Military were also in attendance and monitored the test.

It was held at OSS test facilities in our Murray UT headquarters. OSS has invested in advanced testing equipment in Murray, and as this state-of-the-art equipment was not readily available to the government agency, they requested that their test be conducted at OSS. OSS personnel participated solely in weapon handling, test firing (as seen on the video), and data recording.

As described in the video, this was a brutal torture test to determine suppression performance under the most extreme conditions – 240 rounds per cycle with eight 30 round mags of semi- and full-auto fire for at least six cycles!

At the request of the testing agency, the commercial off-the-shelf baffle suppressor was purchased, and the OSS suppressors were randomly selected from inventory, as were the Daniel Defense Mk18s.

The Results:

Although only highlighted in the video, the dramatic difference in performance between the OSS suppressor and the baffle suppressor was, in the words of several of the government attendees, “Remarkable.”

The reason is simple.

Baffle suppression creates significant backpressure. And over a firing table like the one used in this test, critical problems can arise:

  • Blocked gas and increased particulate accumulation can create weapon malfunctions
  • As particulate collects on the weapon and baffle suppressor components, sound and flash suppression erodes
  • Expanding energy creates extreme heat, especially under full-auto fire
  • OSS’s patented Flow-Through suppression does not increase backpressure, and allows for effective expansion of gases, transfer of energy, mitigation of heat, and suppression of sound and flash.

These conditions were witnessed during the test and highlighted in the 3-minute video. The complete raw video of the test cycles is available for viewing via Dropbox hereNote: we’ve removed the link to the dropbox due to PERSEC concerns of images of government personnel attending the event and caught on film.

    Tomorrow:

OSS’s patented Flow-Through suppression is a leap ahead and undoubtedly disruptive advance over existing baffle technology — the type of advance the US Government is working hard to test, validate and procure across various branches and services (see recent CSASS announcement).

We’re proud to have earned the opportunity to have OSS products tested, improved and proven against the best-in-class competition.

We’re excited to offer the same technology and performance in OSS’s new ELITE line of 5.56 and 7.62/.30 Cal suppressors.

And as more learn about and experience the unmatched performance of OSS, we know they’ll understand what we mean when we say “Don’t Get Baffled.”

This OSS press release is in response to a press release earlier this week by SureFire.

Ryan McMillan And The McMillan Group Officially Announced Announce The Launch Of Grayboe LLC

    Tuesday, June 21st, 2016

Phoenix, AZ– June 22, 2016 – Ryan McMillan and the McMillan Group, worldwide leader in firearms industry innovation, announces the launch of Grayboe Stocks in association with the McMillan Group of companies. Utilizing new materials and processes, Grayboe continues the legacy of industry leadership that the McMillan Group has pioneered for more than 40 years while advancing stock technology throughout the entire firearm industry.

“When running the rifle company, we saw an opportunity in the mid level price range of stocks that are available to gun builders and OEMs.” Said Grayboe CEO, Ryan McMillan. “We had conceptualized the idea of creating a high quality, high volume, and low price stock in the past, and Grayboe brings that conceptualization to reality.”

“We have worked for several years to provide the industry with an affordable off the shelf fiberglass and epoxy stock.” Said Kelly McMillan, CEO McMillan Group International. “It took Ryan’s background education and experience in the firearms industry to perfect the process and bring it to the market.”

The idea behind the creation of Grayboe began over a decade ago when McMillan Fiberglass Stocks realized the need for a more efficient and cost effective way to make high quality epoxy based stocks.

Grayboe is the culmination of two years of intense R&D, which began by building on McMillan’s earlier successes and research. Having adapted cutting edge engineering and materials from various industrial sectors, Grayboe innovations led to the development of a manufacturing process that produces rifle stocks unlike any others before. The completely new process has established a high benchmark of strength and stiffness that others will want to follow. This newly developed method of manufacturing brings together high volume and low costs to the well established Epoxy based rifle stock market. Thru these efforts, Grayboe has revolutionized the way in which thermoset stocks are produced, filling an industry void that has been left empty for decades.

Grayboe Stocks cannot be equaled in durability, accuracy, or price.

EUROSATORY 2016: IWI Marks TAVOR’s Decade of Excellence in Combat; Will Present, for the First Time, a Military Version of the X95 .300 AAC Blackout

    Thursday, June 9th, 2016

Eurosatory 2016, Paris, France, June 13-17, Israel Pavilion, Hall 6, Stand #E 733

June 9, 2016 – Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) – a leader in the production of combat-proven small arms for law enforcement agencies as well as governments and armies around the world – marks TAVOR’s decade of excellence in combat. The company will present, for the first time, the military version of the X95 assault rifle in .300 AAC Blackout caliber.

According to Uri Amit, IWI’s President and CEO, “We are currently celebrating TAVOR’s decade of successful military operation. The TAVOR became the first new generation bullpup rifle to achieve such popularity in such a short time; in only ten years it has been adopted by dozens of armies and units around the world. The TAVOR was developed in response to the evolving changes in the battlefield, which required a versatile weapon to support fighting in both Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and in open areas. Reaching the highest levels of accuracy in ranges of up to 500 meters, the TAVOR has excellent ergonomics, making it easier for the fighter to operate it on the battlefield.”

For the first time at Eurosatory, the company will present the X95 (MICRO TAVOR) assault rifle in .300 AAC Blackout caliber – making the X95 a multi-caliber platform with the ability to switch to any of 4 calibers (5.56X45mm, 9mm, 5.45X39mm, and now – 7.62×35 mm). The conversion is easily accomplished, requiring only a change of the barrel. Due to the fact that the BLK 300 and the 5.56mm ammunition have the same dimensions, they both use the same standard AR magazine. Since a wide variety of ammunition can be used for the BLK 300 caliber, the rifle can be silenced at a very high level, which is not possible with the current 5.56mm ammunition.

About TAVOR Family of Assault Rifles

IWI’s TAVOR family of Assault Rifles are versatile, innovative, and technologically advanced weapons that have been extensively proven in the battlefield, performing with precision and reliability, and meeting the needs of human ergonomics. The TAVOR family was developed in close cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), based on experiences acquired in actual combat. Complying with the most stringent NATO standards for small arms – including operation in harsh conditions – the TAVOR is in service in the IDF Infantry and Special Forces as well as in other countries throughout the world. It has a bullpup configuration, a barrel length and weapon size that cover all soldier’s fighting ranges – from 500 meters to indoor operations, fighting from vehicles, urban areas, etc.

About X95 Family of Assault Rifles/Carbines/SMGs

The X95 (MICRO TAVOR) – which can be used as an Assault Rifle, Carbine, or Sub-Machine Gun (SMG) – is designed for Law Enforcement and Special Forces. Developed in close cooperation with elite units and tailored to their specific requirements, it was created to deal with modern terror threats, as well as urban and open area combat – all in one mission. It is the standard Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Assault Rifle, and is the only weapon available in four different calibers. Exceptionally reliable in even the harshest weather conditions, the X95 complies with the most stringent NATO standards for small arms.
