Sneak Peek – SureFire Blank Safety Device
Thursday, May 5th, 2016This is the SureFire Blank Safety Device. It attaches and detaches exactly like an issue SureFire SOCOM suppressor and features the same size and weight. Naturally, it also fits on all SureFire SOCOM flash hiders. That’s the beauty of this Blank Safety Device, it works just like the live fire version.
This one in particular is ported for the SOCOM issue M4A1 14.5″ barrel URG. It has an internal spud that tightens unto the muzzle with the thumb wheel embedded in the side of the suppressor-style body. This bullet trap technology safely captures a 3-round burst as you can see in the barrel cross-section above.
The Blue color identifies it is meant for the M4 carbine and the MK18 BSD version is Yellow in color. Part number SF-BSD-556-M4.

Basically, it’s a muzzle device with three prongs that are great for deflating tires or use as a persuasive tool. On a lark, someone even attached one to a GLOCK. Yeah, it’s over the top, but it offers a good close up.
