Friday, January 22nd, 2016

DSC07415

About mid last year, we wrote about Hill & Mac Gunworks’ planned modern interpretation of the StG 44, the HMG Sturmgewehr. For those eager to know about the progress of the HMG Sturmgewehr, we’re happy to reveal that at this year’s SHOT Show, H&M had several completed models available at their booth. Seen above is the STG-N model, which features a long stroke piston action, a 16.1″ barrel length, and fixed front and rear adjustable sights. Like the original, the HMG Sturmgewehr is made of stamped metal and wood furniture; it’s expectedly hefty (11 lbs., 10 oz. unloaded), but feels extremely solid. Plus, as originally promised by H&M, multiple calibers will be offered for the rifle:

  • 5.56x45mm/.223
  • 7.62x39mm
  • .300 BLK
  • And the original 7.92x33mm/8mm Kurz
  • H&M will also be offering the HMG Sturmgewehr in a pistol and SBR configuration. Look forward to the release of the HMG Sturmgewehr later this year.

    Dynamis - Zev

Combining years of real world and industry experience, Dom Raso and the Dynamis team have partnered with ZEV Technologies to create the most compact and functional combat handgun available on the market. Using state-of-the-art design and technology, this pistol is lightweight, adaptable, aggressive and unmatched as a low-visibility package. The size and functionality of this platform allow us to go from concealable to an overt combat platform while keeping our training and weapon manipulation consistent. It is extremely difficult to find a reliable and durable pistol that will allow you to train hard and also be dependable when it counts. We have been able to accomplish both and are extremely proud to bring this to the industry.

When conceptualizing this project, we also wanted to make sure that as we released this new product, we did something to help warriors and their families. Giving back and supporting the communities that support us is embedded in the ethos of both Dynamis and ZEV. As a result, with the initial production run of this gun, we will be donating a portion of the profits to the NSW Family Foundation.

Dynamis Alliance is a growing team of experts whose one mission is to create the highest-quality training and gear for modern-day warriors to CRUSH and prevent modern-day threats.

    SHOT Show – Kel-Tec

    Wednesday, January 20th, 2016

    DSC07131

For SHOT, Kel-Tec revealed a new variation of the KSG shotgun. Dubbed the KSG-NR, this new shotgun features a reduced capacity of five 2 3/4″ shells in each tube plus one in the chamber, for a total capacity of 11, compared to the original KSG’s 15. You may be wondering what you get for this reduced capacity. Well, as the image above indicates, the railed forend has been replaced by a proprietary, integrated vertical grip / weapon light which has an output of 420 lumens, and is powered by CR123 batteries. The NR features the same 18.5″ barrel and 26.1″ overall length as the original KSG, in order to keep it legal; Kel-Tec was quick to mention the capability to take advantage of the reduced profile by shortening the barrel and turning it into an SBS, with a tax stamp, of course.

Kel-Tec reps at the booth said that the KSG-NR is available now.
