SIG SAUER Releases SIG MPX Carbine In 9mm

NEWINGTON, N.H. (January 13, 2016) — SIG SAUER, Inc., changed the way the world looked at the subgun with the introduction of the SIG MPX, and now that same innovative technology is available to the consumer market in the semi-automatic SIG MPX Carbine.

The modular 9mm SIG MPX Carbine maintains all of the ergonomic superiority of the short-barrel rifle and pistol variants, but now with a 16″ hammer-forged barrel. A full-length aluminum KeyMod handguard provides ample room for mounting lights, lasers and grips.

“For those who want the full feature set of the SIG MPX, but don’t want a short-barrel rifle or live in a state with restricted access, the SIG MPX Carbine is a great choice,” said John Brasseur, Director of Product Management for SIG SAUER, Inc. “Later, if the operator decides to SBR the Carbine, it’s a simple change with a conversion kit.”

Completely ambidextrous, the SIG MPX Carbine is great for left- or right-handed operators with its dual-sided selector switch, magazine release, charging handle and bolt release. The three-position collapsing stock features integrated QD sling cups for fast and easy sling attachments.

The SIG MPX Carbine operates from a fully closed bolt, and the locking rotating bolt system offers enhanced reliability and safety in use. A short-stroke gas piston with auto-regulating gas valve allows the SIG MPX Carbine to run all weights and brands of 9mm ammunition, from low-power training loads to +P duty ammo. No adjustments are needed to maintain rock-solid reliability.

Familiar AR-pattern controls and ergonomics reduce the training curve and are instinctive for anyone experienced with the AR system. A full-length picatinny rail allows for solid, consistent mounting of optics and targeting lasers. SIG SAUER® folding iron sights come standard.

The SIG MPX Carbine is completely modular, and handguards and barrel lengths can be quickly changed over in the field. The barrel comes with the SIG three-prong flash hider.

Badger Ordnance – M134 Compact Precision Rifle – The Details

Here are the details on Badger Ordnance’s first full rifle. The M134 Compact Precision Rifle follows the continued request for a stowable bolt action rifle and leads the industry in providing one. Featuring a reduced overall length and quickly adjustable stock, the M134 fits easily in a backpack such as the Arcteryx Khard 60 and is perfectly sized for a “truck gun” or “ranch rifle”. Featuring a collaboratively designed stock built exclusively for Badger Ordnance by Manners Composite Stocks, the carbon fiber construction offers a significant weight savings, with the entire rifle coming in at approximately 9.3 lbs (without optic).

The M134 has been tested in its current configuration and performed to sub-MOA accuracy with a variety of match grade ammunition, as well as consistent performance out to 500 yards with subsonic ammunition.

Action

The CPR utilizes the M2013 Short Action Receiver which is precision machined from 4143 Steel and features a six lug bolt on a three lug pattern, locking on and headspacing off of a precipitation hardened breeching ring. It comes standard with a 20 MOA MIL STD 1913 base and is coupled with a Detachable Magazine System utilizing Accuracy International AW (Arctic Warfare) 10 round magazines.

Barrel

The CPR features a Bartlein .30 caliber barrel in a Medium Palma profile, currently being offered in two barrel length options:

– 14.25” with pinned/welded muzzle device
– 16” with 5/8-24” threads to accommodate customer’s muzzle device of choice.

We are currently testing a variety of twist rates to see if it is possible to exceed our current performance standards for both supersonic and subsonic loads.

Stock

The CPR stock is a custom collaboration between Badger Ordnance and Manners Composite Stocks culminating in a lightweight and innovative end state, coming in at approximately 2.5 lbs.

The body of the stock is made entirely of carbon fiber with a subdued, molded in camouflage pattern and features four QD sling attachment points. The butt stock system is rapidly adjustable to 7 positions with a solid lock up, and is machined from Aircraft Grade Aluminum, 4140 Steel, and S7 Steel for a combination of weight savings and rigidity.

Other Features

The stock system also includes a bedded night vision/thermal integration system with a removable cap for anyone that does not need this capability and prefers a more streamline appearance. This device accepts any MIL STD 1913 accessory and includes a removable side rail for additional offset devices.

The underside of the forearm features a MIL STD 1913 rail section to facilitate the use of any common bipod.

Talon Live Fire Demo at SHOT Show

WHAT: Paradigm SRP will showcase the TALON™, a gyro-stabilized weapons platform, during Industry Day at the Range.

The TALON, designed for precision shooting applications from moving and stationary platforms, is suitable for helicopter use and equally capable from ground vehicles, boats, and static emplacements. The TALON is the only unit of its kind specifically designed with advanced stabilization technology for sniper and marksman applications.

Lightweight, compact and portable, the TALON is easily mounted and removed from any vehicle. It is designed for semi-automatic rifles up to 300WM and uses the operator’s weapon and scope, with a typical accuracy of 6” at 300-yards.

The TALON features MIL-SPEC cables and connectors and offers stand-alone power capability. It also provides video outputs for downlinking and recording.

Paradigm is also showcasing TALON with Colt Manufacturing, LLC. The Colt CM901 7.62 rifle will be mounted on the TALON. The Colt battlefield sensor suite, SWORD (Soldier Weapon & Observer Reconnaissance Device), can either be mounted on the side rail or to the rail under the range finder. The TALON will then communicate wirelessly through the Combat Net to Colt’s SWORD Battle Management software and display the orientation of the Talon allowing for greater shot accuracy and weapon situational awareness. Colt’s SWORD Capability will also enable the TALON to operate in an Indirect Fire Capability.

Magpul Updates UBR 2.0 Collapsible Stock for SHOT Show 2016

Leveraging nearly a decade of design and engineering advancement, the venerable UBR stock is redesigned for 2016. Maintaining the unique mix of adjustability, strength, and consistent cheek weld, the UBR 2.0 features A5/SR-25 buffer systems compatibility, rotation-limited QD sling mounts, an ASAP QD style receiver end plate, and an improved rubber butt pad profile, while providing significant weight and cost reduction over the original UBR.

Sneak Peek – Badger Ordnance M134 Compact Precision Rifle

When Badger Ordnance told us about their new rifle, we knew we had to share the news with you.

Much like its design, the M134 Compact Precision Rifle started life rather unconventionally. Just prior to SHOT Show 2013 we decided to cut down a Manner’s Composite Stock and a spare barrel to make a “mini rifle” for the purpose of displaying our products on a firearm without taking up the table space a full length rifle requires. We didn’t anticipate the interest that the little gun itself immediately received; it seemed like everyone wanted to buy one just like it. We continued to bring it to trade shows for several years and each time it garnished the same response.

As time went by and initiatives shifted with some of our other customer base, the request for a compact precision rifle continued to grow. As we considered how to approach the concept from the ground up, we quickly realized that the foundation of what we already had in a fiberglass stock fit the requirement, minus the extremely short length of pull. We set to designing an aluminum and steel retractable stock system that was compact, easy to manipulate, and offered an ideal combination of strength and weight savings. We mated this with a custom carbon fiber stock built exclusively for Badger Ordnance by Manners Composite Stocks, achieving an overall reduced length while still maintaining a standard length of pull and night vision/thermal integration capability. The heart of the rifle is built around our rugged M2013 action, fitted to a 14.25” barrel and pinned/welded muzzle device to meet the NFA required 16” overall barrel length. It features a detachable magazine system with our new Low Profile Mag Release and will accommodate the time-proven 10 rnd Accuracy International AW magazines.

The M134 Compact Precision Rifle will be available as a standard offering from Badger Ordnance beginning early in the second quarter of 2016.

Arsenal – Product Availability Notice – SLR-107FR Out Of Stock

LAS VEGAS, NV – Last year Arsenal, Inc. has sent out a number of releases regarding the SLR-107FR rifles as this model kept getting in and out of stock and inquiries from the consumers and dealers kept flocking in. We have been working hard to keep this flagship model in consistent supply in the US market. We succeeded with our mission in the second half of the year 2015.

We begin this year with an announcement that as of January 11, 2016, all SLR-107FR rifles that were manufactured by Arsenal, Inc. have been shipped out to our distributors. This includes all SLR-107FR model configurations – SLR107-31, SLR107-32, SLR107-33, SLR107-34, and SLR107-36. While there are still units in the pipelines with the distributors, dealers, and retail outlets, there will be no additional units shipped out from Arsenal at lease for the rest of the year 2016.
