We here at SSD are always eager to assist with the endeavors of Veterans in business, which is why we’re introducing New Man Revolution, a company founded by two US Military Veterans and a massage therapist, and their new product, Manpoo. Snicker-inducing name aside, Manpoo is an all-natural shampoo made of coconut-based cleansers, essential oils, aloe vera, and green tea extract, while being free of artificial fragrances, parabens, and sulfates. Manpoo currently comes in two varieties, ‘Going Commando’ (seen above) and ‘Firm Handshake’.
To top it off, New Man Revolution currently donates 5% of their net profit to NY-based Veteran’s foundation called America’s Vet Dogs.
Misty Mountain Wants To Make Sure You’re Using The ISH Chest Harness Properly
December 1st, 2016Misty Mountain has been designing and building climbing equipment for over 30 years. We highly value the trust of our customers and strive to provide them with the highest quality gear. We have recently become aware of instances where our ISH Chest harness has been used incorrectly. We want to make sure we do our best to inform operators on the proper use of the ISH Chest harness and prevent misuse.
The ISH Chest must be used in combination with a sit harness. The proper way to tie-in is to pass the rope through both the chest and sit harness tie-in points. This is the method for attachment that the ISH Chest has been tested to and certified by the UIAA. This is the only method of attachment that has been third party tested and approved.
For users who want a higher single point attachment for activities like insertion and extraction, we have discovered a way of doing this with the ISH Chest and a sit harness that relies upon attachment to the top of the load rated adjustable tether that connects the ISH Chest to the sit harness. This method has been tested by Misty Mountain in-house and is load rated to 15 kN. Please note that this is NOT the method by which the UIAA tested and approved the ISH Chest, and this method has NOT been third party tested or approved.
The user should never tie-in or attach solely to the ISH Chest sternum loop. The ISH Chest harness was not designed for this direction of pull and will fail if misused in this manner resulting in serious injury or death.

Misty Mountain is redesigning the ISH Chest double buckle piece to reduce the potential for misuse and this redesigned unit will be incorporated into all ISH Chest harnesses beginning in 2017. We are currently having this information translated into Spanish and we will provide this translated notice as soon as it’s available.

Wearing comfortable clothing is essential when you want to stay focused, especially when operating outdoors in winter conditions with a full load-out, and the Delta OL 3.0 Jacket and Pant have been designed specifically with this in mind.
During activities in cold weather, the Delta OL 3.0 jacket will keep you protected against all kinds of cold weather hazards, offer you the necessary durability and most importantly, give you the comfort you need to focus on your tasking.
The Delta OL 3.0 jacket is due to its face material windproof and water-repellent. This means that the 2-layer ripstop laminate will stop wind-chill and also keep you dry during heavy snowfall and light drizzle.
A combination of G-Loft and WINDSTOPPER® means the Delta OL 3.0 uses the perfect technologies to protect you. The exceptional G-Loft thermal insulation created out of different hollow polyester fibres a 3D structure which can retain the maximum amount of dry air. This creates a warming thermal insulating layer between you and the cold environment. And the fibres keep their structure also when wet. Due to the so called “memory effect“, they always return to the original form, even after multiple washes and hard usage.
To keep your core warm and to give you extra movability in the arms area the jacket has two grades of thermal insulation. In the torso area it is lined with a 145 g/m² and in the sleeves with a 110 g/m² G-Loft insulation. Areas which are more prone to abrasion, like the elbows and the lower back area, are additionally reinforced with a 500 Denier Cordura® fabric.
The jacket offers in total 8 pockets, which allow you to stash most of the stuff you need within hands reach. Smaller gear can be stowed away in one of the 4 sleeve pockets. For bulkier gear you can use either one of the big front pockets or the two inner pockets. Due to the Delta OL 3.0 jacket’s anatomic cut, the jacket allows you freedom of movement, but at the same time it is tight enough so you can wear additional gear, like plate carriers or chest rigs over it.
The complementary Delta OL 3.0 pants are one of the very few thermal insulation pants on the market which offer a non-baggy cut, allowing you amazing movability and without compromise on thermal protection. Due to the special Flex/Zone construction and an integrated bi-elastic stretch part in the upper front and back, UF PRO can create anatomic fitted pants which follow all your moves and don’t compromise on thermal insulation protection.
The Delta OL 3.0 pants are thanks to their face fabric windproof and water-repellent. Armor Express Announces Two Executive Appointments in Support of the Company’s Federal Law Enforcement Market Expansion Initiatives

Joining Armor Express as the new Director of Federal Sales is industry veteran David Jones. He has been brought onboard to lead the Company’s Federal Sales initiatives, which include sales strategy, client management and overall market expansion programs. Mr. Jones joins the Company after a distinguished 20-year career, having most recently served as Sales Director for Saxon Security, Inc. In this position, he was responsible for product marketing and sales, client service and channel management, working with prestigious customers including the U.S. Secret Service, FBI SWAT, FBI Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF), Amtrak Police Special Operations, HIDTA (U.S. Federal Drug Task Force), and numerous police departments. Earlier in his career, he was the Business Development Manager at ALM Tech Corporation, responsible for setting sales and distribution strategies and securing strategic partnerships in support of the Company’s Federal, domestic law enforcement and Special Forces business units. Mr. Jones is a graduate of Penn State University, with a B.S. in Finance.
Additionally, the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Hayes as Federal Sales Manager. He will be responsible for developing and servicing Federal agency contracts and working with the team to expand the Company’s reach. Bravo Company – The Colonel

Designed by Al and Nico Salvitti with AAR input from multiple Special Operations End Users, The Colonel is a fighting knife, through and through, working around the shooter and utilizing existing muscle memory to produce an effective stabbing and slashing weapon that requires no special training to maintain effectiveness.
The Colonel is designed to be drawn the same as a handgun, while striking with the blade is the same as throwing a punch. The grip angle, which mirrors that of a pistol, allows The Colonel to sit low in the hand for positive retention.
The shape of The Colonel’s blade makes it virtually impossible for a user to stab themselves while the blade is in use, something that can happen when fighters employ stabbing motions with other kinds of blades, and miss the target.
The Colonel Blade is hand forged in Italy with American made G10 grip panels; sharpening and assembly is completed in the US. Each blade is QPPed (Quench Polish Quench), a nitrocarburizing case hardening that increases corrosion and wear resistance. Simply put, The Colonel is designed to be durable and effective.
