The design of Propper’s User Configurable Pack was inspired by the USMC issue Assault Pack. A panel loader whixh is made from 1000D Cordura, it measures 20” high x 13” wide x 6.5” deep. In addition to the generous PALS field, the U.C. Pack is also lined with Velcro pile in order to allow the user to attach any of a variety of pouches and pockets.
All told, there are currently 23 different pockets counting MOLLE compatible and Velcro backed versions.

Kickstarter – Forager’s Camp Knife
June 22nd, 2015The Forager’s Camp Knife is a current crowdfundimg campaign on Kickstarter. Made from 9Cr14MoV (440C) Stainless Steel, the full tang design offers an overall length of 12.5″ with a 7″ flat and hollow ground blade that measures .187″ (5mm) thick from the pommel all the way through to the flat ground chisel tip. Each knife is then dipped in a rust-preventative acid to give it a protective “stone-wash” finish.
It’s a little bit of a DIY project, if you want. You can get the Forager’s Camp Knife is available with a 550 cord wrapped handle, or you can make your own scales. Additionally, you can get one of two sheath styles: Nylon MOLLE or Custom Kydex. Or, once again, you can make your own.
They have already produced 50 of these knives and are now raising the required funds to have a larger quantity produced and according to sponsor, Kanoof Equipment, the knives offered in this campaign are ready and will be shipped as soon as this campaign is completed.

Oregon Sniper Challenge Wrap Up
June 21st, 2015The Oregon Sniper Challenge hosted by Cold Bore Operations, was held in Baker City, Oregon 12-15 June 2015. The range is situated in a bowl between two ridge lines in Eastern Oregon. The weather was pristine if itveeren’t fir the winds; clear and hot with winds changing rapidly and gusting 10-20 MPH with circling dust devils. Updrafts in the draws could cause reported bullet climb of up to 10 inches.
Tactical Tailor and Grey Ghost Gear proudly sponsored four shooters from 2nd Infantry Division at Joint Base Lewis Mcchord placing 10, 17, 20 and 27 out of 40 shooters. The 5-20 IN team shot the Grey Ghost Precision Spectre Heavy Rifles chambered in 7.62
SGT Shad C took the American Bad Ass Award and went home with a Nemo .300 gas gun. SSG (Ranger) Dan L tore his rotator cuff in the SEALFIT portion of the competition, but embodied the Ranger Creed and fought on to the Ranger objective.
