Solkoa and Hill People Gear “Learn | Prepare” Event

This coming Saturday from 9am – 4pm, Solkoa Survival Systems and Hill People Gear are hosting an event at Solkoa’s location in Colorado Springs. The event consists of classes, pack fitting, gear demonstrations, and a raffle. Also, tours of the Solkoa facility including their SERE museum containing artifacts from the American Civil War all the way up through the (unclassified) present. Additional exhibitors include Thunder Beast suppressors, M2TSG Gunsmithing, and AttackPak. For more information, check out the Facebook event page.

Some Updates On PenCott Camouflage Products

Slovenian tactical clothing company UF PRO offers some impressive products, however they have been difficult to procure for the North American customer, until now, that is. Canadian company SEALS Action Gear has become the North American distributor for UF PRO, and will be carrying their full line of products in the full colorway UF PRO offers, including PenCott patterns. Last month, we featured a story on SEALS Action Gear and their adoption of PenCott patterns for several of their in-house designs.

Additionally, German tactical gear company Tasmanian Tactical is now offering various packs and load carrying gear in PenCott GreenZone, including, but not limited to, the TT Raid Pack MK III PC, TT 3 SGL Mag Pouch BEL PC, and TT Tac Pouch 4 PC horizontal.

DSEI – Mileata Watches

DSEI – Ricardo

This is a power generation upgrade available for standard quad bikes from Ricardo.

This installation offers a 2kw 24v system integrated into the ATV which offers the same level of preformance of a separate gen set. This means you can drive the quad to a location and then use it to power up to 10 laptops, multiple radio and ECM sets as well as battery chargers.

DSEI – Suited Systems

Suited Systems is a Latvian manufacturer of clothing and load carriage solutions.

Seen above are examples of the Tref (hot weather), Combat and Insulated Cold Weather uniforms.

Interestingly, they refer to their garments by level numbers in a similar fashion to PCU and ECWCS GEN III. For instance, the smock is referred to as Level 5. You can also see the interesting pocket flaps used on both jackets and trousers.

The Tref Combat Short is actually referred to as Level 1 so the Suited Solutions level nomenclature doesnt exactly mirror US use.

In addition to these colors, Suited Solutions covers almost everyone’s needs including Coyote, MultiCam, Olive, Black, and Navy Blue. If that’s not enough, they also offer user specified options.
