The Auto Arsenal from King’s Arsenal is a secure vehicle organization/storage system for your truck or SUV. Access to the drawers is via keypad combo or proximity card reader and each drawer will come with either Kryptek Highlander or Typhon foam dividers, pistol holders, mag pouches and rifle straps totally moveable via hook and loop Velcro. These will be offered for most truck and SUV models.
The modGATOR is Extreme Gear Lab’s dedicated AK magazine chest rig. A variant of the GATOR 5 mag chest rig, the modGATOR differs from the GATOR in that the TQ attachment webbing from below the magazine pockets, zippered accessory pockets, and tearaway medical pouch is removed.
What’s left is a functional, lightened chest rig that can hold 5 AK-47/74 magazines, a general purpose pocket, STUFFIT pocket, and 6 pistol/multitool pockets. The general purpose pocket can hold an MS2000 strobe, 4″ dressing, and pocket signal banner. The STUFFIT pocket can lie flat or expand outward, accomodating up to M18 smoke cans, PRC148/152 radios, or X26 tasers. The pistol mag pockets are sized to accomodate up to Glock 21 mags. On either side of the magazine assemblies are skeletonized PALS to reduce weight while maintaining full capacity.

You may remember in “Batman: The Dark Knight” that the Joker arises as an evil to counter the good of Batman. And so it goes. Good must have bad, dark have light, winter its summer, and on and on. Now, it’s come to Facebook which spawned Operator as F***, a page that amassed a whopping 150k ‘likes’ in the span of months with its jovial attempt to take the piss out of being serious. But it was only a matter of time before someone created its opposite.
It’s real all right.
Unveiled at SHOT Show, the newly redesigned Alpha Gen 2 line from Arc’teryx LEAF is a bit of all right.
Consisting of three items, the Alpha Gen 2 line includes the Jacket, Pant and Pant Bib. All offer new features and new fabrics. Arc’teryx talks about No Compromises when they discuss these new products and I agree. They are more elegant than their predecessors and you can see the innovation and craftsmanship that went into the redesign.
Take for example the Alpha Jacket Gen 2. For one thing, they’ve shed weight and done with through an entirely new design approach which includes fewer seams and narrower seam tape, glued-in zippers and lighter fabric in the hood of the Alpha Jacket. You may notice that the Alpha Parka is no longer in the line but some of that longer length has been incorporated into the design of the Gen 2 model. Additionally, the new streamlined neck combines with a StowHood™ that uses the more compact MN40p-X GORE-TEX®3L fabric to fit neatly inside the collar and sit against the neck without bulk. Internally, vertically routed hem drawcords minimize interference with the duty belt and media ports allow for internal routing of communications cables. Offered in Black, Crocodile, Wolf and MultiCam.
The Pant and Bib both feature glued pockets and waterproof side zips that route aft of the knee allowing movement with the zips open.

£237,000 awarded for Development of Prototype of Shock Absorption Helmet System
35% of US and UK military deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan directly attributable to TBI from IEDs
D3O, the British smart materials specialist, has been awarded funding from the UK’s innovation agency, the Technology Strategy Board, to develop a new Shock Absorption Helmet System for soldiers to reduce Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI and mTBI).
Current warfare is characterised by highly agile insurgents whose weapon of first choice is the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and there is currently no effective helmet shock absorption systems available today that offer sufficient blunt trauma protection to attenuate the impacts caused by IED blasts.
Led by D3O’s Chief Knowledge Officer, Dr. Floria Antolini, D3O is responding to the immediate need to accelerate research into helmet solutions in order to mitigate unnecessary deaths and injuries our servicemen suffer from TBI. 35% of US and UK military deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan wars are directly attributable to TBI from IEDs.
This award from the Technology Strategy Board’s Smart programme will enable D3O to research and develop a new Shock Absorption Helmet System, featuring their patented technology, to deliver superior military Personal Protection Equipment. The project aims to reduce the severity and occurrence of mTBI/ TBI by mitigating the blunt trauma impact force caused by IED blasts.

It’s been almost 5 years since OC Tactical first started making earpro covers for the guys on Lightfighter. Since then , they’ve never been able to keep up so they came up with a newer version which cuts the production time by about a third. But that doesn’t mean they compromise on the details that made the originals so popular. They are still using high quality foam backed Dri-Lex instead of the cheaper alternatives, matching camo loop, and specific sizing.
One of the most popular options in the past was a small loop centered on the back so you could hang your earpro using a carbiner, Grimloc, or similar item. This option is now standard on every cover.
