EMDOM-MM Adam Belt

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Military Morons has once again teamed up with EMDOM USA to produce a new low-profile belt and, by extension, honor a pioneer in the tactical industry. Throughout the late 90s and an into the 00s, Israeli gear manufacturer Adam Steven of Smamit was well known among the internet tactical gear community. Unfortunately, he succumbed to cancer in January 2010. But not before creating many innovative designs. One of these was the ‘Tramping Trouser Belt’, or ‘TTB’. Tramping is a term well known in Europe for hiking and the point of the belt was a low-profile affair that would keep the wearer’s pants up but not irritate with a big buckle. MM liked the design but wanted to update the materials. When MM decided to move forward with the project he contacted Adam’s widow and has refused his usual design royalties and asked that they be instead be given to Adam’s widow.

The Adam belt is designed to hold your pants up with maybe a pouch or two. It isn’t a gun belt. It’s made of 2 inch wide webbing with an ITW 2” to 1” plastic reducer (attaches to a pull tab) at the end. There is a section of black Hypalon material sewn right next to the plastic reducer as it can tolerate the wear caused by the hook Velcro portion of the belt passing through the reducer.

The Adam Belt uses mil-spec materials including Tan Ghillie-tex buckles. It comes in MultiCam, Black, Sewer Green, and Coyoteish.
Sizes are:
Small: waist 27″ to 31″
Medium: waist 31″ to 35″
Large: waist 35″ to 39″
Extra large: waist 39″ to 43″
Custom sizes by special order.

The Adam Belt is available from EMDOM USA.

Military Morons Skull Patch

Saturday, April 16th, 2011

If you have been following my friend at Military Morons for awhile you will know he has a Skull with Horns designed by Pin Up artist Andrew Bawidamann as an unofficial logo. Recently, he worked with Mil-Spec Monkey to produce the logo as a PVC patch. The result is a really cool morale patch in a Glow-in-the-dark style as well as MultiCam and Desert versions. In addition to being really cool patches, MSM is donating $.50 for every one sold to our favorite charity, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

Available from Mil-Spec Monkey or MSM patch dealers.

Contractor BDU

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

EMDOM USA in conjunction with Military Morons has produced a limited run of a Contractor BDU. Produced from a modified Propper Khaki BDU (65% poly, 35% cotton, rip-stop fabric) the Contractor uniform incorporates many unique features. The genesis of the design project goes back to 2006 and one of the most important features is the Khaki color favored by many in the Security Contractor business as well as those attending tactical firearms training.

EMDOM USA'S CBDU

While all tactical clothing has many common features, the Contractor BDU has a few that are not found on other garments. For example, three very distinct mods have been made to the top. The first is the letter jacket style collar, the second is the shortened sleeve length which replicates a jacket with the sleeve cuff turned up and the final feature is the wide take-up tabs on the back to adjust the fit of the uniform. Both the elbows and knees have been covered in 500D Cordura. The trousers also incorporate a hidden pocket in the rear of the waistband as well as specialized knife pockets on both slash pockets. Finally, there are two front pelvis pockets.

EMDOM-MM Dump Pouch

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Military Morons has developed a new fixed dump pouch in conjunction with EMDOM USA. It is of medium volume and features a stiffened rim. Designed to affix to belts via two Tactical Tailor MALICE Clips, the drop panel is also stiffened.

The pouch has ample room to accommodate M4 as well as AK series magazines. Additionally, two pleats along the body allow for expansion. Finally, the detachable half cover allows mags to go in but keeps them from coming out.

As you can see from the graphic below, the dump pouch is available in a variety of colors, some of which are a little non-traditional. For an excellent write up by the designer including numerous photos, visit www.militarymorons.com.
