Source Hydration AquaSource 20l
Friday, September 30th, 2011The AquaSource 20l is the first accessory designed to fit the USMC’s new pack frame. As you can see, the AquaSource adapts directly to the Down East 1606 frame (and the Army-issue 1600 frame as well) allowing a single Marine to effect a water resupply for his Squad. The AquaSource holds 20l of water in its collapsible bladder which features Source’s Glass-like reservoir technology. There are multiple carrying handles including integral shoulder straps for use in a pinch. Additionally, it adapts directly to Source Hydration’s Vehicle Hydration System.

Source Hydration Vehicle Hydration System
Thursday, September 15th, 2011Source Hydration has introduced the Vehicle Hydration System which allows individuals to hydrate while enroute to the objective without draining their own reservoirs. These days many units are utilizing armored and mine protected vehicles and this looks like a great enhancement.
Consisting of a 25l Aquasource bladder and the Vehicle Hub Station (VHB), VHS is quickly integrated into any vehicle.
The Aquasource bladder holds 5 gallons and can also be worn as a backpack with it’s own straps or connected to a MOLLE frame. The VHB has 6 ports to accommodate the Source self-sealing SQC “quick-connectors” which are removable for cleaning or field replacement. The 6 ports can accommodate 6 different personnel or can be used to daisy chain VHBs to add ports. Also, the individual push button drink valves stay with the user, no matter where they are riding.
Source is well known for their glass-like PE reservoir that offers neutral taste. Additionally, it is easily cleaned due to the slider top that allows whole hand access to the inside of the bladder.

Agilite and Source Team Up to Produce New Tactical Hydration System
Monday, April 25th, 2011Israeli firms Agilite and Source Vagabond Systems Ltd makers of Source hydration systems have teamed up to produce a new tactical hydration system. It is compatible with Agilite’s The new Source Diamond is a super-low profile hydration system featuring a contoured design allowing it to sit flatter on the wearer’s back than other systems.
The Agilite-Source joint project involves a new version of the Diamond that is compatible with Agilite’s Modular Assault Suspension System (M.A.S.S.) load bearing system so that the Diamond can be worn independently of the Agilite Modular Assault Pack that is included with every Agilite Vest like the one above.
“With Agilite gear being used more and more by US and other forces in Afghanistan, it is important that we have the perfect integrative hydration system that suits our high-speed, no-bulk style,” said Dror Lefler, Agilite’s Chief Designer; “Our assault pack already works with hydration systems but we wanted an alternative for when the assault pack is detached. Many soldiers prefer our M.A.S.S. (Modular Attachment Suspension System) over M.O.L.L.E or other systems as, using less material and much less webbing, it is much lighter.”
“We are pleased to be working with Agilite on this project, they are known for their innovative high-speed tactical designs and the inclusion of a high-speed system like the Diamond into their load-bearing system is a logical progression.” Said Meni Keinan, Head of military design at Source.

Battle: LA Promo
Friday, February 25th, 2011Tactical Fanboy picked up something very interesting in the new Battle: LA poster for the upcoming sci-fi flick that pits US Marines against ETs bent on world domination.
Smack dab in the middle of the poster is a Source Hydration pack. At least they won’t suffer from dehydration amid death rays and terminator-like machines crushing humans.
