Warrior East – Under Armour Fat Tire

On a wall of Black boots, the UA Tac Fat Tire really stands out. In fact, the Fat Tire won gear of the show for the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2015. 
Announced during SHOT Show, the UA Tac Fat Tire incorprates a full Gore-tex upper, Boa lacing system, Under Armour Charge cushioning mid-sole and a Michelin Wild Gripper outsole engineered specifically for UA.  Additionally, it features a Cupron insole that has been EPA approved kills foot bacteria including athelet’s foot.  

This model is coming 1 January but commercial and hunting models are hitting the market this month including a version featuring the Ridge Reaper Barren Camo pattern.

Stuff I Like – Under Armour’s Fish Hunter Cargo Shorts

I’m a big fan of Tigerstripe so when I found these at a Sportsman’s Warehouse during a recent trip to Bozeman, I picked them up.  

 
Made from a DWR treated, 30+ UFP, Salt and Chlorine resistant fabric, the shorts are very comfortable. In fact, I’m wearing them right now. There’s a little bit of mechanical stretch. They are board short length and feature cargo pockets on either thigh with snap closures as well as mesh-lined front slash pockets and a single rear pocket. Very comfy.

Warrior West – Under Armour

The UA TAC Heavy Assault is a new bag for the tactical side of Under Armour. They brought it over from the hunting side and add a few features such as PALS webbing. This panel loader is fully featured including a top pocket and rear pocket.  Additionally, incorporates an internal aluminum frame, rain cover, contoured back panel and waist belt pockets with internal ammo slots.  Available now in Black.

Fat Tire Shoe Coming Fall 15 from Under Armour

The Fat Tire is a new hiking shoe coming Fall 2015 from Under Armor.

Integrating the Boa closure system, the Fat Tire offers a custom fit at the twist of a dial along with rapid donning and doffing. It also features a GORE-TEX upper with a Cupron infused fabric liner as an antimicrobial. This sits atop a UA Charge mid-sole for cushioning but probably the most striking feature of the Fat Tire is the Michelin sole. The Wild Gripper outsole offers lugs at the bottom as well as up the edge of the sole to improve grip while scrambling up the trail. Coming in numerous colors including UA’s Ridge Reaper camo pattern.

Under Armour has introduced the TAC Elite Pant and Combat Shirt in their Ridge Reaper Camo Barren pattern. The base fabric for both is a Storm water resistant, Ripstop 100% Polyester with a Charged Cotton body for the Combat Shirt.

The TAC Elite Combat Shirt has several interesting features including a yoke, inset pen pocket and upper sleeve pockets with reinforcements.

One thing that sticks out on the TAC Elite Pant is dual thigh pockets on either side.

Under Armour – Men’s UA Mobtown Shoes

Under Armour’s Mobtown basketball shoe features a slim athletic cut designed to offer better mobility by eliminating the bulk of extra fabric. The camouflage upper, called Dune (it’s not licensed MultiCam, but it’s certainly inspired by Crye’s pattern), is made from water-resistant canvas. The ultra-soft collar lining and full-length Micro G sockliner make up the inside of the shoe.

Also available with a Black full-grain leather upper.

    Initially revealed during SHOT Show 2014, Under Armour’s Valsetz RTS (Redesigned Tactical Shoe) boot features an updated tread and instep which is designed for Fast rope operations. They replaced the stitching in the upper with a welded reinforcement. Additionally, the entire shoe is DWR coated. The top incorporates the Clutch Fit technology from their football shoes. This fit works much like taped ankles without the additional weight. The RTS is also 2 ounces lighter than the standard Valsetz.
