NRA Life of Duty

NRA has launched a new class of sponsored membership program created exclusively for America’s military and law enforcement personnel. “NRA Life of Duty” offers exclusive content as well as a great online magazine called, “American Warrior” with features sponsored by Brownell’s and Colt. Additionally, the NRA is now making it possible to sponsor an NRA Life of Duty membership for those serving in military and law enforcement. A $50 membership includes gear discounts, the NRA American Warrior digital magazine, as well as $25,000 in life insurance benefits for qualified NRA Life of Duty members, plus $2,500 for family travel when a loved one is wounded. A-TACS Deal from The Sportsmans Guide

Apparently, The Sportsman’s Guide bought out the A-TACS run of the EOTAC Direct Action Recce Smock and Pants as well as A-TACS versions of the Operator Pant and Shirt. Before Remington pulled the plug on the EOTAC brand they placed orders with their factories for a run of their smock and pants in the A-TACS pattern. Still no word on of the combat shorts were ever actually manufactured. The garments are a ripstop cotton blend and feature pattern matched elbow and knee reinforcements.

Gets yours before they are gone. Due to the closeout nature of the offering they are priced to sell and won’t be available for long. Sizes vary due to stock.

CamoVat

McNett offers a good alternative, triangle-style cravat bandage. It is made from a 30/70 PolyCotton and includes 2 large #3 Safety pins like the original issue item. While many would poo-poo it’s UCP color, it does remain the US Army standard pattern. It also features an antimicrobial treatment and is water repellant.

A cravat is a must-have item in your individual kit. It can be applied in a variety of ways for first-aid as well as for other uses. Limited Visibility Concealable Antenna

The Limited Visibility Concealable Antenna is a Line-of-Sight patch-panel antenna designed for use within the 30-512 MHz frequency range. Because of its omni-directional propagation it can be worn anywhere on the body. The cable delivers 10 Watts peak, 5-Watts continuous with no amp and the standard TNC connectors fit Thales, Harris and SINCGARS units; SMA connectors fit Motorola units. Other connectors available by special order. It is available with 6-, 18- and 36-inch length cables, and comes in Black (standard) or optional, camo patterns (MultiCam, Universal Camo, Desert Tiger Stripe and Woodland Camo) at a slight upcharge.

The Incredible Self-Locking Clip

Miltner Adams Company has introduced the Incredible Self-Locking Clip. It’s simple to use and automatically locks on to most soft materials such as pockets, waistbands, or even nylon webbing, but unfortunately not leather. To release, simply press the clip. The SLCâ„¢ is made from a Carbon Fiber Composite. If there’s any weak point in the design at this point it is how you attach it to your stuff. While there is a key ring adapter, for pretty much anything else it attaches via 3M VHB Adhesive Tape. I’m not convinced this is teh right answer for every application. Hopefully, manufacturers will see this and contact Miltner Adams to discuss ways to better integrate it into their products.
