AUSA – Princeton Tec

Princeton Tec officially launched the new MPLS Charge at AUSA. Powered by a single AA, it offers 60 lumens of light.

As you can see it can be mounted to either side Ops-Core ARC rail simply by flipping it upside down.

In addition to the built-in Rail mount, there is also Standard Helmet clamp as well as a PALS adapter for use with your gear.

While the Charge’s body is available in OD, Tan, or Black, LED configurations (below) are combined with a white light that is not the primary selection. You have to hold down the switch which is a tape switch style, located on the mount portion of the light to select white light. Choices include:

AUSA – Gerber Downrange Sharpener

The new Gerber Downrange Sharpener combines an unprecedented 4 sharpening tools into a single device. What’s more, it was designed specifically for tactical use. ADS Inc Donates $1 Million to Navy SEAL Foundation

The Virginia Pilot reported yesterday that ADS Inc has donated $1 Million to the Navy SEAL Foundation with a challenge to others to raise twice that amount. This new fund is called the The ADS Inc. Fund for Children of Naval Special Warfare.

In a press release, ADS Inc CEO Luke Hillier had this to say, “We are blessed to serve these brave warfighters. Their sacrifices are no less than extraordinary. Supporting these special families … is both an honor and a privilege.”

AUSA – Ontario Knife

Here are some photos of the new Weapon Tools from Ontario Knife we told you about the other day.

First, the M240 tool. You can see the claw design as which alleviates the frequent problem of hard to remove spring pins. This tool allows the operator to quickly remove a bent or defective spring pin from the weapon. It will also prevents spring pins from being bent by efficiently extracting the pin, thus eliminating undue wear and tear on the pin.

Next is the M2 .50 tool, designed to assist the operator in setting the head space and timing and disassembling and assembling the weapon. It also significantly reduces the time it takes to set the head-space and timing and facilitates the rapid disassembly and assembly of the weapon for daily preventative maintenance and critical operator functions.

Last, but not least is the tool for the Mk 19 Which is designed for clearing and break down of the weapon.

The MOJO 440 Medical Kit incorporates two kits in one. The Immediate Action Kit can be separated from the main bag. It features total user configurability allowing the Medic to set his gear up how he will use it thanks to the full field of loop inside the pack. The main bag’s compartment allows the Medic to store items already prepped for use including three removable pouches with clear windows to quickly identify supplies. Additionally, there is a hydration sleeve in the main bag which can also be used for storage of such items as SAM Splints. Expandable side pockets accommodate extra equipment when needed.

AUSA – Gerber Weapon Light

Yesterday, we briefly introduced you to 6 new products from Gerber. Now, we will give you a more in depth look at each one starting with the Weapon Light.

Incorporating a Larue QD mount, the Gerber Weapon Light incorporates three settings; On, Momentary On and Momentary Strobe selectable via the tailcap switch or a remote tape switch. Powered by 2 CR123 batteries, it throws 250 Lumens for 2.3 hours and is waterproof to 1 meter. The light has a Tan 499 coating and features an IR filter / Dust Cover. Made in USA, look for it early next year.
