Camouflage Gets Its ‘Keep Government Out of My Medicare’ Moment

I literally live for irony. I can write and write and write all about the camo wars and the various services’ quest for a better camouflage but I just can’t force people to READ. Regardless of the topic, folks love news by headline and they form opinions around phrases designed to titillate rather than inform.

Most recently, I had a reader comment that the Army should look to the private sector to solve their camouflage woes. Classic. They have. The US Army Camouflage Improvement Effort is investigating families of camouflage patterns developed by industry. And, PEO Soldier and their scientific arm, The Natick Soldier Systems Center are embarking on the most extensive test and evaluation undertaking ever conducted. When this is over, the Army will truly be able to say that they have thoroughly considered the latest that industry has to offer.

Who Knew Todd McDunn Had Such Muscular Thighs?

Black Ops Toys is offering this 1/6th scale Soldier Story 160th SOAR Nightstalkers – Pilot Todd McDunn Figure with Extra Ankle Pins, Muscular Slip On Thighs and Feet. Eagle Industies’ McDunn is well known as “McStache” due to his manly mustache. He is in fact, a Veteran of the famed Nightstalkers.

Interestingly, as we understand it anyway, this figure was molded directly from McDunn. It’s odd that they left his trademark facial hair off of the action figure, yet they decided to feature his equally renown muscular thighs. And, strangely enough, they gave his likeness freakishly large feet but forgot to include the normally associated appendage.

PrimaLoft, Inc announced that it has completed the acquisition of the assets of PrimaLoft from Albany International Corp.

The purchase of PrimaLoft was led by Michael Joyce, former President of Albany International Corp’s Applied Technology Group, and the PrimaLoft senior management team. The purchase of the PrimaLoft business was supported by Prudential Capital Group.
