CummerbundWithFlap_2

Cummerbund adapter with Flap

The new cummerbund adapter with flap allows the user to mount additional accessory pouches to the front and rear of the cummerbund by utilizing the integrated MOLLE/PALS system. Attached to the front of the PlateFrame, the cummerbund adapter was designed for reinforced strength and modularity.

Cummerbund adapter with Flap and Radio pouch

The cummerbund adapter with flap and radio pouch, allows the user to secure a handheld radio to either side of the PlateFrame while providing an attachment point for a MOLLE/PALS compatible component or pouch to be attached to the front side of the pouch. The integrated pouch design secures the radio along the inside of the adapter closer to the front plate for enhanced comfort.

Dump Pouch

The S&S dump pouch consists of non-hydroscopic material and mesh that was designed to be self-draining, easily allowing water and debris to escape from the pouch with no user interaction. The pouch will not absorb water; eliminating unwanted weight gain. The pouch was designed to hold up to seven standard 30 round 5.56 magazines. A one handed bungee retention system allows for easy access when desired and quickly secures the pouches contents when pulled tight. When not in use, the dump pouch rolls up into a tight/low profile package. The pouch is belt and MOLLE/PALS compatible.

Sales.SoldierSystems.Net

Monday, December 28th, 2015

Although it hasn’t even been a month yet, we are pleased with the performance of our new feature Sales.SoldierSystems.Net, a one-stop for the industry’s best deals. Keep checking the page for updates.

A company wishing to announce their sale will click on the “advertise” tab at the top of the site and be guided to an interface which allows them to create their own announcement. A member of the SSD staff will review the sale announcement for fidelity, clarity and applicability and then approve it for publication, a process that will take minutes. Obviously, we feel the need to maintain a “man-in-the-loop” for this process.

Since this feature is so new, and the are so many end of year sales, we’d like to offer limited time coupon code “freeadnewyear” which brings the cost to post a sale announcement to $0. This offer expires 1 January, 2016.

Sneak Peek – Spuhr G3 Stock

Sunday, December 27th, 2015

This is the new Spuhr G3 stock developed for a military contract that will be fulfilled in Spring 2016. Once that contract is underway, Spuhr will offer the stock commercially, beginning Fall 2016. Look for it at both SHOT Show amd IWA. LOP is from 12.7″ and that is approx 3″ shorter than the original stock. The Cheekpiece is interchangeble to different heights but is always at least 1″ higher than the original and made for the use of optical sights. That means current “too low” iron sights can’t be used. Finally, the G3 original buffer will be kept in the gun.

Protect & Survive

Sunday, December 27th, 2015

“Protect & Survive” are a series of Government short Public Information Films that citizens of Great Britain are glad they never had to see. Designed to educate the public about the dangers of nuclear attack and fallout, they were to be shown in the event that things began to turn badly between East and West.

Democrats Are After Your Guns Again – The Assault Weapons Ban Of 2015

Saturday, December 26th, 2015

Never mind that they tried this once before and it not only didn’t work but cost them a majority in the Congress. Never mind that prohibitions don’t work. Never mind that the majority of Americans don’t want this. Democrats in the House of Representatives  have introduced a new bill to make the guns many SSD readers own, illegal to manufacture.  Naturally, the bill also covers ‘large capacity ammunition feeding devices’.

One of the things that always strikes me about these bills as they pop up is the obsession the anti-2Aers have with guns.  They love to make lists of types of firearms, the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’.  It’s really kind of creepy.  If only they put that kind of effort into cutting red tape so businesses could create jobs.

I encourage you to read the full text of this bill that is currently in committee.
