Post SHOT Show Wrapup – Roper Fast Rope Glove from Line of Fire

Wednesday, January 27th, 2016

Developed in conjunction with former Navy SEAL Dom Raso, the Roper from Line of Fire is an over glove for Fast Rope insertions. The Roper fits over your standard assault gloves for the insertion phase and are easily removed, leaving your assault gloves in place, so that you don’t have to stop and change handwear.

The Roper is optimized for use with other LoF gloves as the palm is lined with the grippy TEGS material. When a LoF globe with TEGS palm is slipped into the Roper, it offers an excellent grip. Naturally, the TEGS lined palm will enhance use with other gloves as well. Below, Dom goes over the Roper’s features.

Post SHOT Show Wrapup – XPDW 5 Position Collapsible Stock From Armaspec

Wednesday, January 27th, 2016

Burlingame, CA, January 19, 2015– Armaspec, manufacturer of the Rhino R23 Magwell Funnel, AST90 assisted safety selector and TCB extended mag release, is pleased to announce the new Armaspec XPDW 5 Position Collapsible Stock.

The Armaspec XPDW 5 Position Collapsible Stock is a completely new take on the PDW stock. Unlike other PDW stocks that require modified BCGs, short buffer tubes with custom buffer springs and buffers, etc. the XPDW stock mounts directly to your standard AR-15 collapsible stock mil-spec buffer tube. This design allows the end user to easily install the XPDW stock with no modification to the AR with the exception of simply removing the standard AR-15 stock.

The Armaspec XPDW 5 Position Collapsible Stock also completely breaks the mold when it comes to the affordability by coming in at an unbeatable MSRP of just $179. XPDW units are currently in production.  We are accepting orders now.

Tactical Assault Gear had quite a few new items for 2016. Here are some highlights.

Above is their new Padded Belt Sleeve.  This belt sleeve features custom molded foam passing and will accommodate belts up to 2″ wide.  The exterior is PALS compatible with slots every 1.75″ to allow the belt to be woven in order to expose the belt where needed.  Available in sizes XS – XL in Black, Coyote, Ranger Green and MultiCam.

This is the Mini Combat Sustainment Pack.  Available in Black, Coyote, Ranger Green and MultiCam, it offers a hydration sleeve for up to a 70 oz bladder, zippered main compartment and external zippered pouch.  Additionally, there’s an external pouch for three 30 round M4 magazines which are secured with bungee.  It incorporates PALS webbing for extra carriage.  The Mini Combat Sustainment Pack can be attached to a vest via PALS or ITW GrimLoc.

The Quick Detach Vertical Medical Pouch incorprates the G-Code RTI wheel.  This gives a great deal of versatility as there are G-Code platforms for use with belts as well as PALS.  What’s more, it can easily be attached and detached.  Available in Black, Coyote, Ranger Green and MultiCam, there’s plenty of room for your medical supplies.

Post SHOT Show Wrapup – SIG MCX Lower Receiver Adapter

Wednesday, January 27th, 2016

Last year we showed you the lower receiver adapter which will allow you to attach a SIG MCX upper receiver to your AR-style lower. Immediately, we began fielding questions on where users could get this elusive product. At SHOT Show, we got the answer.

The adapter will come as a component with upper reciever groups. This is great news for those that just buy an upper but a little disappointing for those who already bought a full MCX and wamt to use the upper with an existing AR lower.

The adapter screws into the threads at the rear of the lower which normally accept the lower receiver extension. Once installed you can use an MCX upper and attach MCX stocks.

High Angle Solutions – CTOMS – Prodigy PMP

CTOMS Prodigy Pulley Vs Prodigy Pulley - PMP

The Prodigy PMP is identical to the Prodigy Pulley in dimensions and performance, however it features the addition of a Prusik-minding flange on one side. This flange adds slight weight to the device, bringing it up to 1.6 oz., compared to the 1.5 oz. of the original Prodigy Pulley.

CTOMS Prodigy Pulley - PMP Attached View V1

It should be noted that the PMP is not a replacement for the Pulley. The flange does add additional versatility to the pulley, however the choice between the PMP and non-PMP style is dependent largely on requirement – capability vs. weight savings. TRACE Kits will continue to include the original pulley for weight savings.
