MultiCam Announces Charity Partnership with Warriors Heart

Monday, March 26th, 2018

Brooklyn, NY – March 26, 2018 – MultiCam®, the combat-proven, complete family of concealment solutions for those who demand the best, have announced a strategic partnership through GoFundMe, with Warriors Heart, a public-private funded treatment facility with a mission to provide treatment for those who put their lives on the line for our safety.

Soldiers, law enforcement officers and first responders face many challenges in their careers. They often put their lives on the line to protect others and must so with little to no regard for their own safety. However, for many in those professions coming to grips with the stresses of their service sadly often leads to addiction. The Warriors Heart facility in Bandera, TX helps this unique community find the support they need.

Founded by three respected military service members, with decades of combined experience, Warriors Heart provides a peer-to-peer-based solution to help the over 13.3 million American Military, Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders faced with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), alcohol addiction, prescription/ drug addiction, and mild TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).

Realizing that warriors are found along many walks of life; from firefighters to EMT, Military, and Law Enforcement, the goal of Warriors Heart is to provide the support system that Warriors need to return to a balanced, healthy lifestyle free from addictions and harmful patterns of behavior. Those in career paths that require a great deal of self-sacrifice are often more susceptible to depression and related issues, which can lead to dependence or addiction on substances like alcohol and prescription drugs. Warriors Heart helps reintroduce purpose into the lives of those who’ve served and continue to serve their country and their community.

“We at MultiCam® recognize where we would be, if it weren’t for the sacrifices our Military and Law Enforcement personnel, and we want to help Warriors Heart achieve their mission,” stated MultiCam®, Brand Manager, Ernesto Rodriguez. “Warriors Heart is an incredible organization that tirelessly works to support those returning to a life they no longer know. We are honored to partner with such a selfless organization, which truly understands what it means to sacrifice.”

MultiCam® has proudly supported the men and women in uniform, as well as their families, for their sacrifices in ensuring the protection of our freedoms. It is MultiCam®’s goal to focus their efforts on raising as much money as possible for the Warriors Heart through its marketing channels including its brand ambassadors on Team MultiCam®. 2018 USASOC Sniper Comp – RE Factor Flexible Antenna Mast

Monday, March 26th, 2018

Quantico Tactical gave us a sneak peek at the new Flexible Antenna Mast by RE Factor Tactical.

Over the years, communicators have rigged up various ways to communicate via SATCOM while on the move. Fortunately, antennas have gotten smaller, to the point where they can be mounted directly to a vest. That’s where things get tricky. You need to point the antenna in at least the general direction of the bird and its shape offers some challenges on how to keep it in place. There are also times where it’s preferable to have the antenna folded. We’ve all seen guys use PVC stuffed into PALS webbing or ziptied in place but that is a bit too rigid.

RE Factor Tactical developed a flexible mast which can be woven into PALS webbing on a vest and will accept most manpackable SATCOM antennas. It is flexible, but will retain the shape you select.

ADS – Stabilizing Retention System for AN/AVS-6 NVGs

Monday, March 26th, 2018

ADS Inc recently published a case study on work they did to stabilize Color Night Display Modules for Army Aviators.

THE CHALLENGE:

Army rotary wing pilots flying with AN/AVS-6 night vision goggles (NVG) and Color Night Display Modules (CNDM) reported excessive vibration during flight.

This vibration created blurring of the CNDM displays, as viewed through the NVGs. This blurring rendered the CNDM displays unreliable, causing aircrew to discontinue use of the CNDM altogether.

THE SOLUTION:

ADS and partner Syncro saw this challenge as a critical operational deficiency. In response, the team designed and developed a custom stabilizing retention system for the Army’s AN/AVS-6 NVGs to reduce vibration during flight.

The ADS/Syncro NVG Stabilizers system equips Army AN/AVS-6 NVGs with retention collars to maximize their stiffness and stabilize the CNDM. The NVG Stabilizers allow the full range of NVG movement and adjustment.
