Leupold Adds 7-35×56 Models to Mark 5HD Riflescope Line

Monday, January 21st, 2019

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold & Stevens, Inc. has expanded its award-winning Mark 5HD riflescope family with the addition of models that will features a 7-35x magnification range. The new 7-35 models will be available with either milliradian or MOA adjustments and reticles.

The Mark 5HD line has been crafted to redefine accuracy, precision, and optical performance for long-range shooters – and do so in a package that embodies rugged reliability. The 7-35 models deliver those same traits – but with the enhanced magnification range that diehard long-range shooters have demanded.

“From the beginning, the Mark 5HD project team set out to deliver riflescopes that had all the features long-range shooters have been calling for, but in a user-friendly package,” said John Snodgrass, Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Shooters across the country have been impressed by what the Mark 5HD’s are capable of, and many have asked when we’d be adding more magnification to the line. We’re ecstatic to be able to deliver 7-35 models to the long-range community.”

In designing the Mark 5HD line, Leupold’s product specialists asked elite shooters what they needed to put accurate fire downrange faster, and used that input to design a riflescope that provides all the tools necessary – in both quality and features – without the unnecessary extras that add weight and cost for consumers. The 7-35×56 models weigh in at just 33 ounces, making the scope significantly lighter than nearly anything else in its class. But don’t let that fool you into thinking it can’t take a beating – quite the opposite. The Mark 5HD’s lightweight construction disperses recoil energy faster and creates unrivaled durability.

Get behind a Mark 5HD, meanwhile, and you’ll see the difference. All models deliver superior edge-to-edge clarity and extreme low-light performance. The Twilight Max HD Light Management System delivers the perfect balance of image color and contrast, light transmission, and glare management. The Mark 5HD is designed with a 35mm maintube for increased adjustment travel, and ships with a high-speed power selector ring featuring an optional low-profile throw lever that provides additional leverage.

The heart of the Mark 5HD is in its ZeroLock adjustments, which provide precise, repeatable tracking with a dead-on return to zero. The M5C3 elevation dials deliver 30-mils of adjustment in 3 turns, at 10-mils per turn on milliradian models, allowing the Mark 5HD to max out the performance of the latest long-range rifles and ammunition. The M1C3 elevation dials deliver over 70 MOA of adjustment in 3 turns on the 7-35×56 MOA models. Visual and tactile revolution indicators are in place to ensure you don’t get lost in the travel, and the auto-lock at zero eliminates the risk of inadvertently moving the dial. The windage adjustment is capped and the zero indicator mark has been relocated on the riflescope’s maintube so you can see it without having to move your head off the stock of the rifle.

The milliradian models Mark 5HD 7-35×56 will be available in six reticle options: H-59, CCH, TMR, Tremor 3, and Tremor 3 Illuminated. The MOA version will be available with an Impact 60 MOA reticle.

All Mark 5HD riflescopes are designed, machined, and assembled in the United States and backed by Leupold’s legendary Full Lifetime Guarantee.

This Artificial Intelligence (AI) based system is aimed at eliminating malfunctions in crucial situations, dramatically improving mission success and fighter-survivability. Facilitating data driven maintenance and smart weapon inventory management based on actual usage of data gathered by constantly reviewing each weapon, the system provides tactical optimization of above 99% shot accuracy.

WeaponLogicTM Ecosystem is a set of tools that includes an advanced algorithm that gathers and analyses comprehensive weapon usage data in real time. This data provides immediate battlefield indication regarding weapon state and ammunition consumption. The system’s Smart Counter advanced AI driven algorithm learns each specific weapon’s characteristics and provides analysis for tactical optimization. Vital information such as magazine status, muzzle velocity, and barrel temperature, is presented to the weapon operator with a detailed breakdown, offering crucial alerts in real time. The system’s Reader & Dashboard Applications diagnose the data retrieved, elevating preemptive maintenance and smart inventory management. The system maximizes armory efficiency, alerting the armorer which weapons require service, supply status, making an easier life for the operators and a futuristic approach. The collected data is sorted and displayed in an easy to use interface, with customizable features.

“This new product Secubit introduces, is an innovative technological boost to the industry’s approach regarding weapon usage, which will – for the first time and from now on – be on a whole new level”, says Liran Tam, CSO at Secubit. “Secubit’s perspective on the use of Artificial Intelligence in a system such as this, is originated in our striving to ultimately elevate operator’s capabilities, which is achieved via WeaponLogicTM Ecosystem – an accurate, cost efficient game-changing suite of tools”, he adds. Mr. Tam goes on to say, that “Artificial Intelligence is here to enhance each of our capabilities in various fields, by taking experts and crowds knowledge, and making it accessible and simple to comprehend. Our technology is here to bring that unique wisdom to the personnel operating the weapon, bettering all aspects of weapon usage; from operational enhancement to usage-based maintenance and smart inventory.”

WeaponLogicTM Smart Counter is a light-weight, simple to operate device, with an information storage capacity of up to one million shots, a rapid data presentation and a rechargeable battery with up to 10 operation years. The information that is collected in the WeaponLogicTM Smart Counter is transferred via RFID technology to the Reader and provides data on the weapon’s status in 3 seconds. This fully MIL-STD 810G system includes a 5″ outdoor viewable HD screen, a USB 3.0 PC interface, and a rechargeable 4300 mAh Li-lon battery with an operating life of up to ten years.

The Dashboard application provides data analysis and comprehensive representation of weapon’s condition and inventory management. It is compatible with Windows 7 and higher and is integration-ready.
