Outdoor Research Introduces the US Made Muzzle Brake Line for Spring 2023

Seattle, Wash. (January 17, 2023) – Outdoor Research (OR), the Seattle-based outdoor and tactical apparel & gear manufacturer will introduce its new US Made-Muzzle Brake line of tactical apparel for Spring 2023, premiering at SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV in booth #31403.

The US made Muzzle Brake line includes four new styles; a Combat Shirt, Combat Pants, Field Shirt and Softshell Jacket.

The Combat and Field shirts and pants incorporate a blend of an FR Knit with a NYCO nylon/cotton blend woven fabric. These fabrics allow the user no melt, no drip protection from flames as well as an added level of breathability, durability and comfort.

The pants will feature large articulated cargo pockets with built in storage, a stretch waistband to bend and move with you, integrated knee pockets for both internal and external knee pads and a gusseted crotch, these pants are designed for you for any mission. The Combat Shirt and Field Shirt will have shoulder patches with hook and loop integration for patches and insignia as well as hook and loop adjustable cuffs. The new styles will be available in Black and MultiCam® and are TAA compliant.

The Softshell Jacket with be built using a US made stretch woven blend of 91% nylon and 9% spandex. With a full zip closure, mandarin collar, integrated shoulder hook and loop for patches and insignia and added shoulder pocket storage, this mid weight water and wind resistant shell will be your new favorite jacket. The jacket will be available in black and be both TAA and Berry compliant.

SHOT Show 23 – Sneak Peek: Mystery Ranch Gunfighter Armor Attach

Coming late spring, the new Gunfighter Armor Attach from Mystery Ranch is an assault pack which compatible with the back panel Vision Zipper on Crye Precision JPC and AVS as well as Eagle Industries MBAV.

It comes with removable Vision Zipper attachment which allows the pack to be adapted to other PALS compatible platforms.

It features a zippered top pocket along with zippered side access with internal magazine pockets. There is an internal hydration sleeve and zippered port at the top for cables, antenna and hydration tubes. Additionally, the Gunfighter Armor Attach can be worn using stowable shoulder straps.

The STICK-IT flap is of a new design, using soft shell 4-way stretch fabric.

Weighing in at .9 kg, it boasts a volume of just under 14 l. Coming in Coyote and MultiCam.

NGSW Rifle Redesignated As XM7

NGSW Rifle gets new name

PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. – The Next Generation Squad Weapons (NGSW) Rifle has been given a new designation, the Army’s Project Manager Soldier Lethality here has announced.

The Army originally chose the designation XM5 as the name of the new rifle in March.

Since then, the service learned that the M5 name is used by Colt Industries for one of its 5.56mm carbines.

As a result, the NGSW Rifle will now be called the XM/M7.

The NGSW Automatic Rifle will continue to be known as the XM250/M250, PM SL said in a short press statement.
