Draganfly Showcases Tactical Drone Innovation at Global Defense Summit in Latvia

Tampa, Florida – June 5, 2025 – Draganfly Inc. The summit marked the formal expansion of the Drone Coalition from 17 to 20 member states and highlighted €4 billion in collective investment toward advancing coalition-aligned drone capabilities.

Rampart Range Day 25 – ARA Guardrail

Guardrail from Applied Research Associates is a GPS-denied Precision Navigation and Timing solution for ground systems.

This TRL6 capability offered 7m of median error over 345 km, the system detects driving conditions and matches the location to known environment via automatic rode detection and map matching. The Mantis device seen above takes into account, vehicle speed, road map database, and input from a LWIR or RGB camera sensor. The GuardRail capability has demonstrated at Convergence Capstone 5, an INS error of 200m due to road use.

Rampart Range Day 25 – Rapid Assault Tools

Rapid Assault Tools had a great exhibit, showing of their Electro-Hydraulic Power Unit (Gen 4).

Housed in a custom FirstSpear pack, this breaching out utilizes a simple two-button control, right on the power line for the tool. There are multiple heads including a long stroke door pusher, 4″ door pusher, bolt cutters, 3 ton spreader, and rebar cutter.

Rampart Range Day 25 – Mustang Survival Rescue Swimmer Vest

Mustang Survival created the Rescue Swimmer Vest as a low profile alternative to their popular Universal Swift Water Rescue Vest which some find too bulky for certain applications.

Additionally, the Rescue Swimmer Vest is intended for military and LE applications with its PALS field to accept pouches at both the front and back.

For flotation, it combines inflatable and foam (9 Ibs foam tuoyancy and 26 Ibs total buoyancy when manually inflated with CO2) and is intended to make swimming and performance in water when bladder is inflated easy. Additionally, an oral inflation/deflation valve easily adjusts buoyancy and tucks away when not in use

The yellow stitching was entirely a design choice as matches well with the dry suit seen above, featuring yellow and black panels. There’s another version with all stitching being black.

Rampart Range Day 25 – Sordin T2

Sordin exhibited their T2 headset at the recent Rampart Range Day near Ottawa, Canada.

Built using their SordinFLEX Modular Design Platform, the comms headset can quickly be configured for multiple means of wear.

Additionally, you can choose between four audio profiles to adapt your sound image to the actual tactical situation. Switching is as simple as toggling between profiles using an ergonomic keypad. Profiles include:

Tactical is the normal audio profile for general purposes. Gain and frequency are set to normal levels in order to mimic natural ambient sound and to balance situational awareness and comfort in the field.

Comfort is a profile with reduced gain and a reduced frequency spectrum. Ideal in noisy environments when communication is prioritized over ambient sound.

Dual is a 2-in-1 profile has high gain and a wide frequency band for high situational awareness in quiet environments. Alternatively, use it when combining your T2 with earplugs to pick up some ambient sounds, even in high-noise environments.

Ambient Off is used to turn ambient sound off with your headset using passive hearing protection only. Suitable when maximum focus on team communications is required in high-noise environments.

Rampart Range Day 25 – Salomon Forces Amphib Assault

This is the upcoming Amphib Assault from Salomon Forces. Designed to be compatible with most combat swim fits, this shoe also provides under foot protection from rocky shores and caving ladders.

Non-absorbent upper materials, strategically placed mesh panels and drain holes ensure quick evacuation of water once on land.

Initial orders have already been placed by military customers. TAA compliant, the new Forces Amphib Assault will be available to ship to US customers in three months and to Canada in four months.

Barrett and MARS Inc Team Win U.S. Army xTech Soldier Lethality Competition with Revolutionary 30mm Precision Grenadier System

MURFREESBORO, TN – The U.S. Army has announced that the MARS Inc, Barrett team has been selected as the winner of the xTech Soldier Lethality competition. In six months, this team of agile businesses were able to design, build, test, and demonstrate the effectiveness of a new 30mm grenade rifle system in support of the Army’s Precision Grenadier System (PGS) requirement. PGS is a soldier portable, shoulder fired, semi-automatic, magazine fed, integrated armament system (weapon, ammunition, fire control) that enables rapid, precision engagements to destroy personnel targets in defilade and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) targets at close range. Both companies are proud to have the opportunity to provide this unique capability to the U.S. and allied war fighters.

As part of that journey, Barrett worked closely with small business innovator MARS Inc to bring their technology to life, AMTEC Corp to develop an entirely new family of 30mm shoulder fired munitions, and Precision Targeting to provide a fire control system customized for the AMTEC ammunition. This new ammunition family will have the full spectrum of capabilities required to achieve the US Army’s mission to provide over match on the modern battlefield. This includes, Programmable Air Bursting High Explosive (HE), Proximity Fuzed and Point Detonating HE, as well as a Close Quarter Battle Round.
