HOUSTON, TX – January 11, 2021 – Comp-Tac® is taking it to the next level with their new Level II and Level III holsters.
As a holster manufacturing company Comp-Tac produces Kydex® holsters that are 100% American-made for law enforcement, military, range use, and competition shooters. The newest duty holsters, including the CT3™, CT2-A™, and CT2-H™, took years of abundant testing and collaboration from various departments and members of the law enforcement community.
The CT3™ features three levels of retention including hood, automatic ejection pork lock and friction retention to prevent unintentional removal of the handgun, while still maintain a master grip. There are multiple mounting options including the drop offset, CT3™ Mid-Ride Belt Mount, SQR™, PLM™ (Push-Button Locking Mount), and an adaptor plate for QLS system. “Every one of our holsters is fit checked in a Q & A process to real handguns to ensure that there is no undesired movement of your gun,” explained Gordon Carrell general manager of Comp-Tac. “Overall, we wanted to present a solution for every single person who serves on the front line to know that they are safe and will come home at the end of the day.”
Comp-Tac Holsters also offers the CT2™ Series of holsters. The CT2-A™ is designed with economy of motion, and two levels of retention, including the ejection port lock and friction retention. The activation lever only releases the ejection port lock when held down during the draw like the CT3. These features in the CT2-A have grown increasingly popular for law enforcement and military alike.
In the same series of the CT2-A, is the CT2-H™ Holster that features a thumb-activated hood and friction retention. The aircraft-grade Kydex® is expertly formed to restrict undesired movement of gun with no “holster rattle”.
The RHINO Plate Carrier System is a sleek design for close-quarter tactical operations. It is proudly made in the USA and features durability, ballistic protection options, flexible sizing, and SOP adaptability.
In terms of durability, the RHINO is constructed as a 1,000-denier Cordura® nylon carrier and comes with an industry-leading 5-year warrranty. It has an innovative drag handle that detaches from the system to reveal a 3’ tether and is fitted with a quick release rig using GT Cobra™ composite buckles.
The carrier can accommodate soft armor, hard armor, or both at the same time while accepting up to 11” x 14” shooters cut size ballistic protection panels in the front and back. The cummerbund can accommodate military-sized plates, as well as standard sizes up to 6” x 6” and fits either soft or hard armor. The system is fully upgradeable for neck, bicep and groin protection.
The RHINO has flexible sizing with fully adjustable shoulders and cummerbund for a one-size-fits most design up to waist circumference of 60”. It additionally has a unique, cooling spacer mesh provides stand-off and heat dissipation for the operator.
The built-in front, back, and side MOLLE coverage (PALS compatible) along with hook-and-loop ID panels on the front and back for complete SOP adaptability.

I’ve been a fan of Magpul’s belts since they came out and now they are opening the options even more with three new models.
The Tejas Gun Belt – “El Cibolo” in Black and Chocolate which is a 3-ply belt made of 100% American bison hide, reinforced with North American bull hide, and backed by a supporting, flexible, reinforced polymer layer.
The Tejas Gun Belt – “El Delgado” in Black, Chocolate is a thinner construction, utilizing a thinner biothane backing to keep the belt sturdy. It is more pliable in initial wear, and allows the belt to keep its original shape over its lifetime.
The one I am really excited about is the new Tejas Gun Belt – “El Pistolero“ in Black, Chocolate, Light Brown. It features decorative stitching throughout the length of the belt for added style and a fifers that distinct look for the gun slinger.
These are Made in Texas and feature Magpul’s removable buckle with branded “tool-free” fasteners and brushed antique silver finish. This sleek profile buckle design sits flat against the waist and helps reduce printing when carrying.
Across the board, Magpul’s belts are offered in 32-46 (even sizes). Width is 1-1/2” wide and 1/4” thick to fit most belt loops and holsters.
Initially designed for a US Army Next Generation Squad Weapon candidate, the MOE SL-M Carbine Stock is a bit shorter than what you are used to seeing.
Turns out, it’s also great for use with PDWs and is optimized for Mil-Spec PDW length receiver expressions. It will still fit full length “buffer tubes”, but the front end of the stock will not meet up with the receiver.
Despite its smaller stature, it’s got all of the Magpul bells and whistles.
