Crye Precision to Host Annual Charity Auction at 2018 SHOT Show
Friday, January 19th, 2018Brooklyn, NY – Jan. 19, 2018 – Crye Precision®, one of the leading suppliers of uniforms and personal equipment to the military, law enforcement and public safety markets, has announced that they will be hosting their annual charity auction at the MultiCam® booth (#32408) at the 2018 SHOT Show, in Las Vegas, held January 22-26th.
Each year Crye Precision® sponsors a silent auction with 100% of the proceeds being provided directly to three military charities; the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, the Unit Scholarship Fund, and the Navy SEAL Foundation.
As in years past, items for auction are an assortment of high-end rifles and pistols. Among the items to be won, include: Noveske N4-PDW INFIDEL, 10.5” 5.56 Switchblock, 12.5” N6 Enhanced, SAKO TRG 22 Finland 100 limted edition rifle, Colt Combat Unit Rifle and M45A1 Pistol, Troy SOCC™ Carbine 14.5?, Shadow Systems custom Glock 17, Weapon Outfitters custom upper and an Archon Arms Type B pistol. Auction begins at show open Tuesday, Jan 23nd, with winners being chosen at 1pm on Friday the 26th.
The company will also continue its fan favorite, time-honored tradition of raising funds for these organizations via the 2018 Hot Shots calendar sponsorship. For a suggested donation of $20, you can pick up a wall calendar for yourself and have it signed by featured models Kelly Hall and India Reynolds, at the MultiCam® booth throughout the duration of the show.
Custom Flexfit MultiCam®/CP Logo snapback hats, 1947 LLC snapback hats and the MultiCam® T-Shirts will also be available for a $20 donation to the charities throughout the show while supplies last.

2018 Magpul Clothing Redux
Friday, January 19th, 2018For 2018, Magpul has completely replaced their entire line of clothing. This new Every Day Clothing line is tighter than previous versions with just four shirts (long and short sleeve) and a pant. A couple of other pieces will follow in the Spring.
The first question everyone asks when they hear about Magpul clothing is, “why?” Magpul’s David Kramer explained it well, “It’s a natural extension of our firearms business, that we would build clothing that our community would be stoked to wear. Clothes that can be used for EDC, travel, road trips, and hard use. We build it to stand up to life.”
I wanted to know more. Why start over from scratch? I was told, “There are a variety of brands offering good options but often missing the mark in the sense of either representing our values, having the right features or even the right look. Many brands speak to a left leaning audience while other brands focus heavily on tactical where there was no one looking at the people who believe the Second Amendment in embedded into their daily lives. We need something for us, so we did something about it.” Granted, Magpul’s goal is to offer a quality apparel at a fair price, but this new take on clothing seems to spring from a deeper passion.
Like their earlier clothing, this is not made in the USA. Not at these prices. But, they are well made, hard wearing and good looking. I’ve seen samples. You’ll find iconic styles, with modern materials. Here’s a sneak peek, to whet your appetite.

Magpul – Multi-Mission Sling System

The Magpul® MS1 QDM Sling further enhances one of the most versatile line of rifle slings by including factory-installed Magpul QDM quick-disconnect swivels. As a heavy-duty replacement for the typical pushbutton swivel, the Magpul QDM offers an innovative low-profile design, single-handed manipulation, a superior corrosion-resistant Melonite® finish, and a high-strength, freely rotating bale that canalizes sling webbing to prevent rollover. This sling system not only provides the strength, speed and security of Magpul QDM hardware, but is also optimized for dedicated two-point sling functionality built around the streamlined MS1 Slider. Once set, this system allows for rapid adjustments to either lengthen or shorten the sling without slippage, tails, loops or other potential snag hazards. In a two-point role, the MS1 allows seamless shoulder transitions, fast adjustability for hands-free rifle carry and shooting support from various positions. The Magpul MS1 QDM Sling retains all of the original MS1 functionality and is fully adaptable for one-point applications with a series of adapters (sold separately) based on the MS3® and MS4® Slings.
In testing, the MS1 Sling survived tens of thousands of cycles in wet, dry and sandy conditions, static-load testing without slippage for 72 hours, and weighted six-foot dynamic drop tests. In addition to the controlled lab tests, we also swam with it, jumped with it, hunted with it, hiked into the mountains with it, and—most importantly—shot with it in a variety of rugged field conditions. The Magpul MS1 QDM Sling is made in the U.S.A. and is fully Berry Amendment compliant.
