Tulster Holsters Announces IWB Profile Holster: H&K VP9SK

Jenks, Oklahoma (July 27, 2017) What’s better than the H&K VP9… how about a subcompact version? In early 2017 Heckler & Koch released the eagerly anticipated VP9SK which has continued to grow in popularity over the last several months. With many requests for an IWB holster, Tulster decided to add the H&K VP9SK to the Profile Holster lineup.

From the ground up, the Profile holster was designed to be an ultra-concealable, minimalistic, appendix carry holster without the drawbacks. Distinct features such as the matte-edge finish and minimal material used facilitate in a comfortable fit providing maximum concealment for concealed carry.

Each AIWB Profile holster is formed to the VP9SK for a snug fit with low drag. The adjustable retention along with the inherent positive retention “SNAP” ensures the firearm is secure when holstered.

Removal of extra material between the muzzle and retention screw adds to a layer of comfort without digging into the body or thigh. The trigger guard is intentionally undercut to promote a higher grip on the VP9SK and allow for a magazine release while the firearm is fully holstered.

From the injection molded belt clip to the soft loop option, the cant settings are easily adjustable from 0-15 degrees to allow for a perfect grip on the H&K VP9SK.

This Profile holster can be ordered in many different colors and patterns for either Right or Left handed shooters.

LAPD Bans Use Of Blackhawk Serpa Holster

Earlier this week, we began to hear rumors that the Los Angeles Police Department had banned use of the Serpa Holster. We now have confirmation.

On June 8, 2017, LAPD issued a directive to its personnel disapproving use of the Blackhawk Serpa holster as well as all auto-locking trigger finger manipulated holsters. The memo goes on to add, “These holsters violate sound weapon manipulation practices and may increase the likelihood of a negligent discharge.”

The Official version of the memo seen above has been disseminated throughout the Department and was signed by the Officer In Charge of the Police Sciences and Training Bureau and countersigned by a representative from the Office of the Chief of Police.

The LAPD is one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the United States and a leader in the development of policies and procedures. They now join numerous federal agencies who have also banned use of the Serpa holster.

The M&P BODYGUARD 380 model fits all standard BODYGUARD 380 pistols, as well as models equipped with Crimson Trace lasers (except the Crimson Trace Green Laserguard).

The HSGI® OWB Kydex Holster securely holds your weapon of choice. Precision-molded Kydex ensures a tight grip and smooth operation, while the adjustable, curved belt loops enhance concealment and comfort. This holster includes removable adapter pieces that enable it to securely fit both 1.5” and 1.75” belts. Additionally, the minimalist cut and precision mold of each holster prevents discomfort or “biting” when sitting or kneeling. These holsters also feature smooth outer surfaces for safe and sleek use. These holsters are currently available for GLOCK and S&W M&P models, as well as Sig Sauer P320 models (released today).

While we’re on holsters, High Speed Gear® just launched our Ambidextrous Nylon Holster (pictured below). Our PALS-mountable, 1000D Cordura® nylon holster was designed to work with most medium frame semi-automatic handguns. Designed for all shooters, it features a removeable bungee retention tab and adjustable thumb break, which can be configured for ambidextrous use. This holster may not be compatible with after-market attachments. It includes one long and one short HSGI® Clip for attachment to PALS. MOLLE webbing on the front and back allows the holster to be attached on either side, perfect for both left- and right-handed shooters.

Just like every other piece of High Speed Gear®, our holsters are designed to be as versatile as possible.
