Nightforce Optics congratulates winners of inaugural Nightforce Precision Tactical 2 Rifle Match

Wednesday, August 31st, 2016

NFO2016TwoGun-0974

This past weekend concluded the 2016 Nightforce Precision Tactical 2 Rifle Match. The match was a success for unveiling and proofing a new match format, one where competitors fire both carbines and precision rifles on the same stages. This was a field match, held across the Coal Canyon area of the NRA Whittington Center. Targets and shooting positions were placed across the natural terrain instead of on a traditional square range.

Competitors fired over 200 rounds of carbine and up to 100 rounds of precision rifle across the 10 stages. Carbine targets ranged from as close as 3 yards to as far as 400 yards. Precision rifle targets ranged between 300 and 890 yards. At the start of each stage, all competitors had to carry their gear and configure their rifles and shooting positions on the clock.

The Birth Of The BE Meyers MAWL

Monday, August 22nd, 2016

This is how the MAWL started, two years ago today.

It started with B.E. Meyers & Company, Inc. having their engineering team clear rooms at an abandoned school complex, day and night. They cleared 500 rooms the first day, and 400 the second day. It wasn’t pretty but it worked.

By learning the limitations and constraints of existing laser systems available, they understood exactly what capability gaps needed to be filled. By ensuring the engineering team was part of the discussion from the initial concept, they knew what the commonly was asking them to design and why, and thus MAWL was born.

ZEV Technologies Now a Leupold Approved Partner

Friday, August 12th, 2016

Oxnard, CA – August 12th 2017 – ZEV Technologies, manufacturer of components and accessories for GLOCK® pistols, is proud to announce it has been named as an approved Leupold partner for the Delta Point PRO.

”The Delta Point PRO has changed the playing field when it comes to mounting a red dot on a pistol and becoming one of their first approved partners is a great honor” stated Dave Roberts, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for ZEV Technologies. “This partnership will enhance our product offerings available for the Leupold DPP, allowing us to work directly with their product design team to create the best Delta Point PRO mounting solutions available for GLOCK handguns.”

While other approaches mount an optic on top of a Glock slide, ZEV’s slide cut actually seats the optic in the slide with ZEV’s patented thread mounting system that provides more contact points and double the threaded surface area to ensure stability and reliability.

“ZEV Technologies commitment to quality and innovation reflect the same values we hold at Leupold & Stevens,” said Shane Meisel, marketing manager for Leupold & Stevens. “We are very proud to partner with such an inspirational and like-minded company.”
