TYR Tuesday – Huron 40L (Top Loading & Front) Allegiance Assaulters Sustainment Pack

The Huron™ 40L (Top Loading & Front) Allegiance Assaulters Sustainment Pack is low profile as well as extremely versatile with exceptionally advanced attributes. It’s constructed with 500d Cordura® and high abrasion resistant 4-way stretch Tweave. The addition of a front beavertail keeps the front of the pack slick which prevents snagging in dense vegetation while also providing an additional load carriage option. The beaver tail is secured using low profile G-Hooks. The top front features a zipper opening for a full length pocket for additional storage. The sides of the pack are slick with the exception of 2 Tweave zippered pockets that lay flat and provide additional storage as well as two adjustable canteen pockets. Internally, the ALG040 has a small utility mesh pouch for storing smaller items as well as a hydration or communications pouch location on the internal back of the pack.

The pack utilizes the Huron™ PLUMA™ Load Carriage 20” Angled Frame. It is constructed with carbon fiber and aluminum. This makes the PLUMA™ Frame not only extremely strong and durable but as light as a feather at 1.0 lbs. Its strength-to- weight ratio is unmatched in today’s military market.

Sneak Peek – Huron MDX9 Medical Pack

Here is a sneak peek of the New Huron MDX9 Medical Pack. Following our philosophy, Innovate or Die, we have designed the next generation in medical gear to assist first responders who are assigned as tactical medics, rescue task force members, or individual FIRE/EMS/LEOs. Our new Huron™ medical packs are designed specifically around the guidelines from the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) and the principle that no one should bleed to death from uncontrolled hemorrhage. Current TECC guidelines recommend all first responders carry tourniquets, learn to pack wounds and utilize hemostatic dressings, and learn to seal chest wounds following the MARCHE protocols. TECC is the civilian evolution of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), written to address the differences in civilian populations and operational environments.

The MDX9 is designed specifically to carry multiple emergency medical items required in a Mass Casualty situation. It has ample storage space and organizational features that assist users in identifying the required items for treatment, and quickly accessing them for application.

This is just the first of many new medical products coming out of TYR Tactical in 2017.

Black Diamond – Creek Series Packs

Offered in three sizes (50l, 35l, 20l), the Creek series of packs from Black Diamond are designed for use while cragging. They are made from Black burly haul bag material. In addition to a top opening with a strap to secure ropes or clothing, there is also a panel zipper to access your gear (only on 50 and 35 models). You’ll also find a stowable rain cover. Internally, there is an organizer. The harness features padded shoulder straps and dual-density hip belt with a thermoformed backpanel.

A really cool feature is the bottom of the pack. It incorprates a stiffened loop which allows it to stand upright on the ground.

Fewturing a paintjob inspired by Afghan war rugs, I’ve been wearing this daypack from Braco Co Worldwide to several trade shows.

At first glance, everyone comments on the Sierra Block 1’s non-military appearance. That is, until I take it off and show them the intricacies of the pattern. There are tanks and planes, AKs and RPGs galore.

The Mayflower RC By Velocity Systems 48 Hour Assault Pack is lightweight and built to provide the end user with a midsize bag for short duration operations or everyday use.
