ASA Statement on Final Passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill

Thursday, July 3rd, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Suppressor Association (ASA) issued a statement following the final passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, which eliminates the National Firearms Act (NFA) tax on suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and AOWs.

“The One Big Beautiful Bill passed by Congress and sent to President Trump’s desk includes a $200 million annual tax cut for gun owners,” said Knox Williams, President and Executive Director of the American Suppressor Association. “While we fought hard on behalf of millions of Americans for full removal of suppressors and other items from the NFA tax scheme, this outcome is a critical step in our plan to dismantle the NFA once and for all. We will not stop fighting until that goal is achieved.”

ASA also joined the National Rifle Association, Firearms Policy Coalition, and Second Amendment Foundation in a joint statement announcing pending litigation to challenge the NFA following the elimination of the tax:

“When President Trump signs the One Big Beautiful Bill — which will eliminate the excise tax on suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and AOWs — he will have delivered the biggest blow to the National Firearms Act since its passage nearly a century ago. We thank President Trump for his leadership and every member of Congress who fought for law-abiding gun owners throughout the reconciliation process.

“By eliminating the excise tax on these NFA items, the OBBB will not only lift the heavy burden of an unconstitutional tax from the backs of hard-working Americans, it will also serve as a critical step towards our ultimate goal of dismantling the NFA once and for all. But there is much work yet to be done.

“While we will continue to fight for the total legislative elimination of the NFA, our organizations are proud to stand together in a new strategic lawsuit to challenge the constitutionality of the NFA in Federal Court.”

Introducing the Bongo Gear SLAM Pack!

Thursday, July 3rd, 2025

Bongo Gear is proud to announce the release of the incredible SLAM Pack! The SLAM Pack is a purpose-built, mission-driven, multi-operational pack designed with an emphasis on tropical/jungle operations. The pack was developed in closecollaboration with the experts at Tactical Tracking Operations School, Inc.(TTOS) and it is the result of over four years of intensive research, development, and field testing.

TTOS is known for their expertise in jungle operations and TTOS cadre haveconducted jungle warfare training for various Special Operations Forces for well over a decade. The team at TTOS was instrumental in bringing the SLAM Pack to life and the pack was evolved through both training and operational use. The SLAM Pack was specifically designed to meet the unique, rigorous, and harshdemands of vertical mobility and jungle operations. A large portion of the field testing of the pack was carried out during repeated deployments and training rotations in the PACOM area of operations.

The name “SLAM” is inspired by the legendary MACV-SOG’s SLAMcompanies. MACV-SOG (Military Assistance Command, Vietnam – Studies and Observations Group). SLAM is the acronym for Search, Locate, Annihilate, and Monitor missions. MACV-SOG performed extremely dangerous and demandingtop-secret, deep reconnaissance and interdiction operations that required equipment as rugged, resilient, and adaptable as the courageous men who carried it. The SLAM Pack honors that legacy with a design that merges the demands and qualities of extreme ruggedness and practicality with mission-driven utility.

The SLAM Pack comes in at about 35 liters total. It was designed with jungle/water ops, technical rope work (rappels, climbing, etc.), and free-fall as part of its DNA.  It is a mission-first solution for operators working in extremely demanding and logistically isolated environments. Every feature is based on real-world needs derived from many years of jungle warfare instruction and operational deployments. Every detail incorporated was designed for utility andpracticality and to ensure the pack is rugged and reliable and that it meetsessential requirements.

Only the highest quality, U.S.A.-made Mil-Spec, NIR compliant fabric, webbing, and hardware are used in the making of a SLAM Pack. Fabrics and components are selected to help reduce signature and facilitate silent movement through dense terrain and double and triple-canopy jungle.

SLAMS Packs are available in Ranger Green and Vietnam Tiger Stripe. Other colors such as Multicam Tropic and Multicam/OCP are available upon request (minimum order quantity applies).

Frontline Healing Foundation Raises Over $100,000 to Support our Nation’s Military, First Responders, and Law Enforcement Officers

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025

Bandera, TX – July 1, 2005 – Frontline Healing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, who supports programs that address the unmet needs of suffering servicemen and women and assists our nation’s warriors who may not have insurance or the means to fund their healing, is proud to announce that they have secured over $100,000 dollars (a new record) following their Frontline Healing Foundation Annual Fundraiser held at Pedrotti Ranch, in San Antonio, TX.

Hosting friends, family and supporters of the Warrior community, Frontline Healing Foundation’s annual event was a fundraiser like no other.

“What this incredible community has given to our heroes and families, is time to heal and return to doing the ‘normal’ things that others take for granted,” stated Frontline Healing Foundation CEO, Jordyn Jureczki. “We are so proud of how our supporters, friends and family came together to raise this staggering and humbling amount for our heroes.”

The money was raised from a combination of live and silent auctions, as well as generous donations. Auction items ranging from custom firearms, to knives, and one-of-a-kind art pieces that brought in an unprecedented sum for the organization.

Personal tokens, like the Limited Edition, Eagles & Angels, Eagle Collection Hat – “Kyle Morgan” Edition. As limited as they come, this pair of hats are the only ever to be made of this collection; crafted from the fabric of a custom top Morgan designed during one of the most challenging deployments to Afghanistan in 2009 and 2010. “These hats symbolize resilience and serve as a reminder of the spirit and bravery of those who have served,” stated Morgan.

Frontline Healing Foundation’s funding subsidizes the cost of treatment for veterans and first responders who do not have insurance or to pay for their healing. The funds raised will be immediately invested into programs, supporting treatments in detox, residential and outpatient, sober living, brain treatment, K9, and continuation of care for warriors who want to go to Warriors Heart or through other facilities.

“The objective in hosting this annual event, is to create a platform for positive change; raising not only money but awareness of the incredible work being done in the community of treatment and care for the Warriors,” stated Jurezcki. “The impact this funding will have on the lives of these heroes, their families and children will be immeasurable.”

Los Angeles, CA — July 1, 2025 — Silvus Technologies, Inc. (“Silvus”) a global leader in advanced wireless networking solutions, today announced the launch of Spectrum Dominance 2.0 – the next evolution of its EW-resilient communications capabilities.

Available as a software licensable extension to Silvus’ battle-proven MN-MIMO waveform, Spectrum Dominance 2.0 is adds new features including Wake on Wireless and Dual Frequency Link to an ever-expanding suite of Low Probability of Intercept/Low Probability of Detection (LPI/LPD), Anti-Jam (AJ) and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) capabilities that provide secure and protected mesh network communications in the most contested RF environments.

Together, they enable StreamCaster MANET radios (AN/PRC-169) to perform in congested and contested environments – empowering their operators with robust, mission-critical communications solutions to achieve their mission objectives even under electronic attack.

Building on years of real-world operational deployment and mission success, Spectrum Dominance 2.0 takes a layered approach to EW defense, forcing an adversary to penetrate all layers before disrupting communications. Spectrum Dominance 2.0 offers modular flexibility – enabling users to deploy features independently or combine them into a tailored EW defense profile to enhance mission performance and achieve RF spectrum overmatch. Silvus is the only tactical MANET provider that delivers Spectrum Dominance without sacrificing range, throughput, robustness, or scalability.

“Spectrum Dominance 2.0 is the direct result of field-driven innovation from the front lines of today’s EW battlespace,” said Jimi Henderson, Vice President of Sales at Silvus Technologies. “Our unique multi-layered approach for LPD and AJ resilience provides the warfighter with tools to outmaneuver even the most sophisticated EW threats.”

“Our mission is to equip the warfighter with next-generation communications that deliver decision dominance and RF spectrum overmatch across today’s dynamically changing battlespace,” added Babak Daneshrad, Silvus Founder and CEO. “With Spectrum Dominance 2.0, we’ve elevated EW resilience to a new standard – delivering the reliable performance users expect from StreamCaster MANET radios – even when operating in EW contested environments.”

Spectrum Dominance 2.0 – Key Capabilities:

LPI/LPD: Delay or Deny Adversarial Detection

·        MANET Power Control (MAN-PC): Automatically minimizes the RF footprint of StreamCaster MANET radios – dynamically throttling power to the minimum amount necessary to maintain network connectivity

Wake On Wireless: Enables StreamCaster MANET radios to receive data without emitting control traffic to gather intelligence without revealing position. A radio in Stealth Mode can be activated via Wake on Wireless, either remotely or locally.

Anti-Jam: Mitigate Electronic Warfare Attack

MANET Interference Cancellation (MAN-IC): StreamCaster MANET radios automatically perform real-time interference monitoring. At the onset of jamming, MAN-IC employs sophisticated spatial signal processing techniques to nullify the offending interfering signal.

MANET Interference Avoidance (MAN-IA): StreamCaster MANET radios dynamically scan and monitor the RF spectrum for interference across multiple user-defined channels. At the onset of jamming, MAN-IA moves the entire mesh network to the cleanest frequency without user intervention.

·        Dual Frequency Link: Enables StreamCaster MANET radios to transmit on one frequency channel and receive on a different frequency channel – enhancing jamming resilience in distributed operations.

Advanced Threat Protection: Waveform Resilience

·        MANET Protected Waveform (MAN-PW): When MAN-PW is enabled, the MN-MIMO waveform is hardened for increased resilience.

The Spectrum Dominance 2.0 expansive suite of capabilities can be downloaded onto existing Silvus StreamCaster MANET radios via simple firmware updates, extending their operational value. Certain capabilities are available exclusively to U.S. Government customers or subject to ITAR-control. Some features are non-ITAR controlled and commercially available to all Silvus customers.

Mission Critical Solutions

Spectrum Dominance 2.0 is fully interoperable across Silvus’ family of StreamCaster (both the 4000 and upcoming 5000 Series) MANET radios. Available in handheld, mounted, and OEM module formats, StreamCaster MANET radios deliver optimized output power (1–80 Watts effective, thanks to TX Eigen Beamforming), up to 100 Mbps data rate, industry leading frequency agility with over 30 single/dual frequency band options (300-6000 MHz) and advanced encryption including AES-256, and FIPS 140-3 Level 2 validation – the U.S. Government’s latest security requirements of cryptographic modules to protect sensitive data.

At the heart of every StreamCaster MANET radio is Silvus’ battle-proven MN-MIMO waveform that creates a self-forming and adaptive mesh network – capable of connecting hundreds of nodes with unmatched range and data throughput in complex, multi-path, and non-line-of-sight environments.

US Army Awards $4.9 Million Contract for More FN M240L Medium Machine Guns

Tuesday, July 1st, 2025

(McLean, VA — July 1, 2025) FN America, LLC is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $4.9 million contract to supply the U.S. Army with additional FN® M240L medium machine guns. The M240L was originally adopted by the U.S. Army in 2010, after a joint development effort with FN to create a lighter, yet durable, medium machine gun.

The M240L has been the cutting-edge for lightweight medium machine guns with an overall weight reduction of five pounds from its predecessor, the FN M240B, without any impact to performance or longevity. The 18 percent weight reduction was achieved by incorporating titanium into the design, including the receiver, and introducing new manufacturing methods to adjust for the material properties.

“The M240L continues the collaborative effort between FN, the U.S. Army and the individual soldier to provide the most effective weapon systems for the warfighter,” said Mark Cherpes, President and CEO for FN America, LLC. “The development saw the introduction of new materials along with new manufacturing techniques that have paved the way for the future generation of military equipment. We are extremely proud of this product and look forward to working with the U.S. Army to deliver against this contract.”

The M240 general purpose machine gun (7.62x51mm NATO), derived from the FN® MAG 58, was adopted by the U.S. military in the late 1970s, and has been in continual service since being introduced. FN has created multiple variants of the M240, including the M240 coaxial, the M240B, M240L, M240D and M240H models.

Throughout its history, FN has been one of the largest suppliers of small arms to the U.S. military and continues to develop innovative, future technology. In addition to the M240 and its variants, the company currently holds contracts for the FN® M249 lightweight machine gun; the FN® MK 46, MK 48, MK 17 and MK 20 SSR for USSOCOM and various other contracts.
