The de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth was a light biplane operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a primary trainer during WWII. Tiger Moths were also used by Air Observation Post (AOP) units such the Polish-manned No. 663 Squadron RAF (663 Polski Szwadron Powietrznych Punktów Obserwacyjnych) that served in Italy from 1944-45. Air Observation Post units working closely with Army units for artillery spotting and liaison.

Warrior Assault Systems Launching New A-TACS iX Pattern

Warrior Assault Systems has been working closely with A-TACS Camo to launch their new A-TACS iX pattern for the Warrior Assault Systems product line.


Clint Hoover, Business Development at A-TACS Camo had the following statement to make while displays are now in place at Ranger Joe’s and Commandos retail stores in Columbus GA. We are really excited to get a read on the general public coming though and seeing the new A-TACS iX pattern. I can tell you that the initial comments from the store employees and management was very positive. Not only the floor managers; the leadership was impressed with the look and products. It is a big weekend here at Ft Benning with Family days, Infantry & Armor Graduations, Ranger School Graduation and other events. Staff at both stores said they will have thousands if not ten thousand people come thought their doors in a 5 day period. Tru Spec is really out front with a solid introduction of the TRU uniforms in A-TACS iX; and thanks to many of you, we have some awesome gear finishing the displays out.

Griffin Armament Low-Pro RIGID Rail Kits Available

The design objective for the Griffin Low-Pro RIGID rails were to provide a slim, ultralight M-LOK rail, with increased rigidity over current similar market options.

“We had been looking at the market for a while and noticed that there were two types of rails essentially. Rails that were beefy and strong, and rails that were slim and unfortunately weaker. We wanted to combine the desirable attributes of both category products into one optimal rail system.”, Austin stated, Primary owner and Lead engineer for Griffin. He went on, “The final design resulted in 70% more rigidity than current similar market slim rails. This is important for those who need to use IR lasers as armed professionals or for hunting. There are a lot of great options now in IR laser aimer products that have solid mounting and solid bodies and we wanted to make a slim rail that provided industry leading point of aim / point of impact for those aimers.”

Low-Pro RIGID rails feature a 7075 aluminum barrel nut which can be installed with the included Griffin Armorers Wrench. The mounting is done with included shims and flat head cap screws for an ultra-flush and low profile mating to the receiver. 17-4 stainless QD flush cups are included which thread into the barrel nut through holes in the rail.

The kits include the Griffin Primo Gas Block, a 416R stainless .750” ID gas block which can be set screwed in place and / or pinned.

Additionally, the rail kits include the Griffin RAIL SHIELD panels as standard equipment. This 4 piece kit provides a 4.6” length surface for heat protection and griping. The user can choose to use the flat bottom panel or angled grip panel for enhanced recoil control.

Available in 8.6”, 10.5”, 13.5”, and 15” lengths.

Rails weigh 5.9 -10.5oz 1.54” wide 1.35” ID.

    For Immediate Release: The current market trends show an overwhelming push towards lightweight, highly concealable single stack pistols. These pistols are easy to carry and with the right holster, are barely noticeable under a wide array of cover garments. The major trade-off with a single stack 9mm is capacity. Even with a +1 or +2 baseplate, you are still sitting at half the round count of a double stack pistol such as a Glock 19. While it is certainly an option to carry magazines in pockets or in a separate pouch, we wanted to offer a system that would allow you to have a spare magazine at the ready in a streamlined low-profile system.

    The CAS/C5S IWB Holster is available in two configurations: The CAS positions the firearm vertical for easy concealment and your magazine at 30° angle for the fastest and most natural possible in the 12 O’clock position. The C5S is designed to sit on the strong side of the body, with a canted firearm (10-15°) and slightly canted magazine (10°) for fast draw and minimal printing in the 3-5 O’clock position. The rounds are set to face toward the firearm to enhance quick reloads. The holster is contoured to have a steep curve that pulls the firearm and magazine into the body to reduce printing and aid concealment.

    We designed the CAS/C5S holster to be a simple, one-piece unit that you can easily take on and off with little trouble. The minimalist design prevents discomfort by limiting bulk and unnecessary material, yet still offers a full sweatshield to protect your firearm. No fighting overly complex clip systems or bulky brackets. No threaded fasteners to work loose. No magazines floating around in pockets or an extra holster that you have to deal with. Our experience has shown us that if your holster is uncomfortable or needlessly complex, you won’t wear it.

    The CAS/C5S is available for a wide variety of compact and subcompact firearms from most major firearms including 1911s, Glock, FNH, H&K, Sig, Smith and Wesson, Springfield, Ruger and Walther.

    AEC Narrow Fabrics Awarded OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certification

    Zürich (July 12, 2016)– The OEKO-TEX® Association is pleased to announce that AEC Narrow Fabrics (Asheboro Elastics Corporation) has been awarded the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, that ensures that AEC narrow fabrics have been tested to be free of harmful levels of more than 300 potentially harmful substances. AEC manufactures a broad assortment of knitted and woven narrow fabrics for apparel, home textiles, medical, automotive, marine, and commercial applications. The new Trophy Cam HD Essential E2 defines long-lasting efficiency and ease of use while improving both day and nighttime imagery.

    Built on the rugged Trophy Cam HD Aggressor chassis, the new Essential E2 employs and easy-to-use latch and lets hunters keep a watchful eye on their favorite outdoor hotspots around the clock.

    The camera is amazingly efficient, too. The power-saving Trophy Cam HD Essential E2 runs up to 12 months on one set of eight AA batteries.

    Ensuring the best detection and images, the adjustable PIR (passive infrared sensor) is motion-activated out to 80 feet and fires a 32-LED dynamic night vision flash for premium images at night.
