Mercury Completes Delivery of Critical Hardware for the U.S. Army’s Next-Generation LTAMDS Radars

ANDOVER, Mass., Aug. 09, 2023 — Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com), a technology company that delivers processing power for the most demanding aerospace and defense missions, today announced it has completed delivery of the processing hardware for the U.S. Army’s first six Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) radars, being built by Raytheon, an RTX business.

LTAMDS is the Army’s newest air and missile defense sensor that will operate on the Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense network. LTAMDS is a 360-degree, Active Electronically Scanned Array radar that provides significantly more capacity and capability against the wide range of advanced lower-tier threats, including hypersonic missiles.

Mercury has provided radar processing systems to Raytheon for Patriot® radars since 2009. In 2019, Raytheon was chosen by the Army to deliver the first six LTAMDS radars, and Raytheon tapped Mercury to develop an expanded suite of advanced electronic systems that included the radar processing platform, the beamforming platform, ethernet switching hardware, and high-power amplifiers for the antenna array. In May, Mercury delivered the last of more than 160 hardware units that fulfilled its obligations under the proof of manufacturing contract.

Introducing the Forward Controls Design Nautilus Variable Timing System

The NVTS Nautilus Variable Timing System is a meticulously designed and machined muzzle timing device that offers users the ability to time their muzzle device quickly and easily. NVTS consists of 2 interworking components: a base and a disc. The base has 12 tick marks, each tick mark corresponds to 30 degrees of rotation of the muzzle device.

NVTS is precision-machined in 4140 steel and finished with a patent pending QPQ process that protects it against corrosion, and is extremely durable, and can be reused. Installation is an easy process: Seat NVTS on the barrel, hand-tighten the muzzle device to determine the amount of timing required, then dial in that timing required by adjusting the disc in the base.

NVTS is patent pending and is developed and manufactured by Swiss CNC in Montgomery, TX, with input from Forward Controls Design on ergonomics and user friendliness. Precision Rifle Match Draws Elite Shooters from Across U.S.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – August 16, 2023 – RCBS®, the leading manufacturer of ammunition reloading equipment for rifles and pistols, congratulates RCBS pro shooters and the entire RCBS team for another successful “RCBS Rumble” — one of the most popular and fastest-selling Precision Rifle Series matches of the season.

A major high point for the RCBS brand as it celebrates its 80th anniversary, this year’s RCBS Rumble was held August 11-12 near Pleasant Hill, Missouri. With additional support from partners including Bushnell®, Hoppe’s®, Hodgdon®, GA Precision and Manner’s Composite Stocks, the Rumble drew 92 elite PRS shooters from across the country and sold out of registration spots in under an hour.

“This year’s RCBS Rumble was by all accounts a tremendous success,” said Laurie Kokoruda, senior product manager and match director. “We knew from the beginning that we wanted to make the course of fire even more challenging than the previous year, so we added more movement and new obstacles for competitors to face. Of course, the weather itself added its own degree of difficulty. Despite the new challenges, we heard nothing but positive feedback from shooters throughout the match.”

The match had a go-big-or-go-home feel, presenting plenty of fresh challenges for competitors to navigate. Hot and humid weather on day one gave way to hard rains and fierce winds that partly obscured targets on day two. Over the course of two days, shooters worked their way through 18 unique stages, including a new shooting tower. In addition to the main competition, the match included side stages sponsored by Manners Composite Stocks and Bushnell.

Team RCBS and Elite Tactical shooter Robert Brantley took Top Tactical at the match, taking home one of the coveted RCBS custom press trophies. The win is Brantley’s third in a row as he continues to lead the points race for becoming the Top Tactical shooter of the 2023 PRS Season. Meanwhile, RCBS and Elite Tactical teammate Melissa Gilliland took Top Lady. First through third place winners won gold, silver and bronze Summit presses. Fourth and fifth place finishers were awarded a custom copper RCBS Rebel press.

“We greatly appreciate all the efforts that went into this match, from the volunteers to the range officers and sponsors,” said Kokoruda. “This is definitely an event that showcases the power of the RCBS brand, and we can’t wait to be back again next year.”

Ansi Arumeel to Join Milrem Robotics’ Team as COO

Ansi Arumeel, who has held several leadership positions in logistics and e-commerce companies, will join Milrem Robotics’ team as Chief Operating Officer and member of the board as of September 2023.

Arumeel has extensive leadership experience, most notably from the Estonian state-owned post and logistics company Omniva where he worked in different roles for 14 year, last two as the CEO.

Since leaving Omniva, Arumeel has been the deputy managing director of the Polish Retail Robotics, the largest Automated Parcel Machine manufacturer in Europe with ca 500 employees.

His role was keeping the focus on strategy, aligning organisation to targets and creating an environment for the talents to succeed. He was also working with values and culture improvements, communication, KPI structure and visualisations, processes and improvement and business development.

Arumeel has a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Technology from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology and a MSc. with distinction in Management of Transportation & Logistics from the Chalmers University of Technology.

Wing Inflatables Partners with SOAL Marine to Supply Military Inflatable Craft to Norwegian Armed Forces

SOAL Marine Group, a defence contractor and manufacturer of electrified maritime mobility platforms, lightweight gyro stabilized systems, and specialist training, in partnership with The Wing Group (Wing Inflatables Inc.) and E.P. Barrus Ltd, has secured a five-year contract and will supply Military Inflatable Craft and related boat equipment, training, logistics and support to the Norwegian Armed Forces.
