Shoot Like A Girl Hosts Free Shooting Sports Experience at Cabela’s in Lone Tree, Colorado

ATHENS, Ala. – June 22, 2022 – Shoot Like A Girl is bringing the 2022 Sea to Shining Sea Tour to Cabela’s in Lone Tree, Colorado this weekend for an interactive event that introduces women and their families to shooting sports in a fun, safe and comfortable atmosphere. Experience the state-of-the-art mobile gun range and join their certified female instructors as they share their extensive knowledge of firearms, archery, outdoor accessories and safety with guests while promoting confidence within shooting sports. New and experienced shooters and their families are invited to stop by the Shoot Like A Girl trailer in front of Cabela’s on June 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and June 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Shoot Like A Girl’s unique events connect brands, products and the public. Attendees are never charged and are given one-one-one attention from passionate experts in the shooting sports field.

What to Expect

New and experienced shooters are encouraged to stop by the Shoot Like A Girl mobile range event to learn more about ways to get involved in the shooting sports. Inside the mobile range, using a military-grade firearm simulator which provides immediate recoil, impact and sound feedback, guests who are 16 years of age or older will gain confidence through handling and shooting handguns and long guns through this immersive event. Guests will also be supported by archery coaches through a live archery demonstration, allowing attendees to experience archery firsthand and learn more about the sport through hands-on instruction.

Shoot Like A Girl strives to empower women through shooting sports demonstrations and events while opening a discussion surrounding sports and outdoors. Attendees are encouraged to bring their families and children to discuss and learn more about firearm safety in a comfortable and controlled environment. No experience is necessary to participate in this free event, and all equipment is provided to guests upon their arrival.

At the Shoot Like A Girl gun counter outside the mobile range, visitors of all ages are welcome to compare a variety of disassembled firearms, including revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, shotguns and rifles. Additional products form corporate partners will be on display, including optics, conceal carry bags, holsters, TrueTimber camouflage, SABRE pepper spray products and much more. The PrimaLoft® Evolve insulation mimics properties found in animal fur with fibers of differing lengths and deniers to create natural highs and lows in the material. This produces highly open structures that maximize airflow when on the move, and air entrapment when at rest, for optimal thermal performance with low bulk. Additionally, SITKA strategically designed the pieces without a traditional liner, making the garments two layers instead of the commonly used three-layer construction. This unique design creates a more efficient transfer of heat and moisture.

Froelich Finishes First at the Minnesota TriGun Championship

ANOKA, Minnesota – June 15, 2022 – Team Federal congratulates brand ambassador Josh Froelich on winning 1st Overall and 1st Open Division titles at the 2022 Vortex JP Tri-Gun held at Forest Lake Sportsman’s Club in Minnesota, June 11-12. Federal Ammunition was a Platinum Sponsor for the event.

“This event is shotgun heavy, as most Minnesota events are, and had a focus on technical shooting skills. That meant small steel plates and challenging paper targets. A lot of movement and difficult shooting positions were the name of the game up here,” stated Froelich, a Minnesota native, who relied on Federal handgun, rifle, and shotshell ammunition to win big at this prestigious match. “Competition is always tight and many of the best in the country come up to Minnesota to compete. The Minnesota TriGun Championship is one of my favorite events of the year and I am super excited that I was able to secure the win here in 2022.”

Team Federal’s Tucker Schmidt took 3rd in the Open Division and 5th Overall. Varick Beise took 3rd in Tactical Optics Division and 6th Overall.

“This match had some great shooters in attendance, as always. Froelich did what Froelich does, and he cleaned house,” said Jason Spradling, Federal’s Shooting Sports Promotions Manager. “Tucker and Varick fought hard to claim third place finishes in each of their divisions. Federal congratulates all of these guys on their successes.”

“I was fortunate enough to pull a 3rd place finish in a stacked field of competitors,” said Schmidt. “I was running the Federal Gold Medal Match with 69-grain Sierra bullets in my rifle. They always provide handload-level quality, consistency, and they never disappoint. That’s why I choose Federal.”

“This match was very fun and challenging, with most of the stages involving running bay to bay or through the woods. The longer stages and sporty shots made this match one of my favorites,” said Beise. “The event organizers there put together a great match for all shooters. I am grateful for the good range officers, volunteers and sponsors that made it all possible.”

EOTECH Awarded SBIR Phase II Contract

Plymouth, MI (June 2022) – EOTECH, inventor and original manufacturer of Holographic technology for use on military, LE, hunting, and consumer firearms, has been awarded a follow up SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) contract for the development of a dual-color holographic head-up display for increased situational awareness and targeting in military aircraft.

This Phase II contract funds further development to produce a system that allows more information to be acquired faster without obscuring the pilot field of view, which leads to efficient decisions and reduced cognitive load on the end-user. Commercially, the developed technology may adapt to existing firearm weapon sights, and could provide customers with new functionality, such as overlaying waypoints or caliber data onto their field of view.

“We are extremely proud to have received this Phase II contract and are excited to continue developing this technology into a solution that enhances the performance of our pilots,” said Dennis Finnegan, President of EOTECH GOV. “EOTECH has been at the forefront of holography, dating back to the 1950’s, and has dedicated its existence to providing tools and technology that improve the performance and increase the safety of our warfighters.”
