TAG Introduces Large Mountain Ruck at SHOT

Large Mountain Ruck (Includes Straps, Kidney Pad and Frame)

TAGsÂ® Large Mountain Ruck is a reimagined version of the original mountain ruck. Designed to fit the ALICE frame it is crafted from 500d Cordura and lined with pack cloth. This combination allows the ruck to be lightweight and yet retain durability. The shoulder straps and kidney pad are contoured to improve fit. The three external general purpose pockets were designed to accommodate an issue H harness and lowering lines making this pack jumpable. The outside of the ruck features PALS webbing. To support hydration systems, the interior has two 100oz. bladder pouches ports for the drinking tube holes along the sides for on-the-move drinking. The lid of the ruck has an antenna port for radios with center mounted antennas and the radio pocket has been lowered slightly and enlarged to fit man pack radios. The TAGÂ® Mountain Ruck is Berry compliant and features a lifetime warranty.

N-Vision Optics Releases NVAT at SHOT

At Shot Show 2009 N-Vision Optics will introduce a back-up iron sight compatible NVAT (Night Vision Adapter for TwistMount) which is an adapter that enables the rifleman to easily switch between his AimpointÂ® 3 x Mag or Concealed Engagement Unit (CEU) and the AN/PVS-14 night vision monocular. NVAT Adapters allow for the AN/PVS-14 night vision monocular (or compatible) to snap on directly to the AimpointÂ® TwistMountâ„¢ Base in place of the 3XMag or CEU. N-Vision is offering two models: the NVAT, compatible with all back-up iron sights, and the super light weight low profile NVAT-LT. Mounts are made in the USA out of aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum and Mil-Spec hard coated (Type 3, Black). They will be conducting live demonstrations at N-Vision Optics’ Booth number 9542. Mayflower Research and Consulting, LLC at SHOT Show

While Mayflower won’t have their own booth at SHOT, they will have mannequins on display in the POF and ITW booths.

Mayflower is producing a line of gun cases, vests, and slings for rifle manufacturer Patriot Ordnance Factory located in Booth number 23060. For example, designed for 7.62 magazines, this chest rig is a PALS-fixed pouch hybrid manufactured from 500D solution dyed Cordura.

ITW Military Products produces Berry compliant fasteners used by Mayflower and is located in Booth Number 7561.

DBT Releases New LE Armor at SHOT Show

In addition to their solid line of armor and other tactical products, DBT is unveiling several new items at SHOT Show 2009.

Federal agents attending SHOT Show will be in for a real treat. They will able to see the new ATF Agent kit (tactical and concealable) featuring the new UTOC carrier and family of pouches for the first time and Diamondback will have their new LE focused team on hand to answer any questions.

Propper Goes FR at SHOT Show

OTB Boots Announces Bootistan

OTB Boots will unveil their latest creation at SHOT Show; the Bootistan named in honor of the environment it was designed for. The Bootistan is a true mid to heavy weight hiking style boot that from what we have seen so far, is worthy of being in any high end mountaineering store and/or REI. Unlike many militarized hikers, the Bootistan was designed from the ground up for combat. It will easily make the transition to the civilian market. This boot is going to take OTB to the next level.

It features:

-Waterproof Suede and Cordura upper
-Sympatex lined for 100% waterproof construction
-Full rubber rand encompasses the entire boot for rocky environments
-No hooks on the boot allow for jumping
-Looped wool and Ortholite dual density footbed
-Vibram sticky rubber Outsole

Additionally, OTB will have their JungleLite and DesertLite Fall line at the show. They both feature a new proprietary treatment that makes the boot 100% Hydrophobic. Think of it as Nex-Tec for footwear. This means no water will be absorbed by the boots. You can dunk and submerge the JungleLite or DesterLite boots in water, weigh them after submersion and there will be NO weight gain.
