UNITY™ Tactical, a designer of components that integrate tactical systems and optimize the human factor, unveiled its first ever mount built specifically for intermediate- to long-range rifle optics and precision weapon systems at SHOT Show 2025.
UNITY also announced that its line of AXON™ and AXON SL switches are now compatible with select Streamlight® models, including the TLR® RM 1, TLR® RM 2, ProTac® Rail Mount HL-X Pro, ProTac® 2.0 Rail Mount, the TLR-1® and TLR-2® with a remote switch tailcap, and the newly released ProTac® Rail Mount HP-X Pro Long Gun Light.
Developed as part of a SOF requirement, the REKE™ scope mount places 30, 34 and 35mm scopes at a 1.54” optical centerline from the rail. This height optimizes the host optic for common in-line night vision devices.
“This is the first time UNITY has designed a mount that places an optic lower than two inches from the optical centerline,” said Mike Roth, vice president of business development for UNITY Tactical. “While it affords the same strength in material and design, REKE™ sits outside our FAST™ line because its lower height of 1.54” supports a different type of shooting.”
REKE’s modular design allows for capability expansion in the form of three optional accessories. A diving board, or modular Picatinny top rail, can replace the front top ring to house a laser range finder.
An MRDS Top Ring for REKE can be paired with a FAST Optic Adapter Plate to mount a variety of micro red dot sights in the 12 o’clock position.
REKE is also compatible with the FAST Offset Optic Base that places micro red dot sights at a 36 degree offset from the centerline of the optic mount. When used with a FAST Optic Adapter Plate, the micro red dot will have a mechanical centerline of 2.05” above the rail.
“While our FAST line primarily supports gunfighting and competition shooting, REKE is really the first mount we’ve made intentionally for precision, intermediate- to long-range shooting,” said Josh Greco, president and co-founder of UNITY Tactical. “As we continue to build and expand our product lines, we take a systems approach to enhance the capabilities of these technical devices to support multiple platforms and shooting preferences.”
REKE is made of type III hardcoat anodized 7075-T6 aluminum. It comes standard with a 3 cross bolt rail clamp and is available in black or FDE. It includes a lifetime warranty and retails for $369. Diving Board for REKE retails at $189 and MRDS Top Ring for REKE retails for $67.
REKE is on display for the first time at the UNITY Tactical booth #61503 in the law enforcement ballrooms at SHOT Show 2025 now through Friday. It is available for purchase now through authorized UNITY dealers and on unitytactical.com.
Here’s something a little different and kind of cool. Lots of people make special morale patches and decals to hand out or trade at SHOT Show. This year instead of my friend David Reeder from Breach-Bang-Clear teamed up with a company called Bad Moon Armory to pass out little flashbang-shaped whiskey flasks.
The body is a food-grade medal with 3D printed caps. The spoon is also polymer, but the pin is metal. You can pull the pin if you want, but you don’t have to. You just unscrew the top to get at the bourbon inside.
Or the Old Fashioned, though there’s not a lot of room for a cherry or orange peel.
As you can see, it’s fairly realistic looking. In fact, one of people who they banged at SHOT had an unexpected encounter with LVMPD when housekeeping reported he had a “grenade” in his room.
If you run into one of the B-B-C gang at SHOT, or someone they’ve banged, you can use the QR code on the label.
If you don’t manage to nab one by “getting banged” at SHOT Shot, you can order one without the labeling at Bad Moon Armory.
