MFT’s proprietary Polymer design, technology and production has developed a laser precise, passive retentive, holster offering carry inside the waistband, outside the waistband and appendix positions for a right or left-hand shooter.

“We created these holsters for the shooter looking for a rugged, durable, precision fitting holster that is versatile and comfortable to wear in a variety of carry positions. It’s also great for shop owners as one holster can do it all. Laser scanning of the handguns translates to the creation of CAD files from which unneeded elements are eliminated, creating less wear and a smoother draw and reholstering. The RagnarokSD from T.Rex Arms

Centerville, TN — T.Rex Arms has just released the RagnarokSD, a new OWB holster for the easy carry and rapid deployment of suppressed handguns. The SD supports a wide variety of weapons and suppressors, and its unique shape allows a user to draw and fire the weapon in the same short vertical motion common to standard OWB holsters.

The Ragnarok SD is precision-formed from heavy-duty .125″ Kydex, and is further strengthened by structural ribs that provide a more secure grip on the Surefire X300 series weapon light. The suppressor is braced by vented Kydex wings, which can be modified by the user to support the outside diameter of any can.

While this is a passive-retention holster, with no hood, strap, or button to release the firearm, the retention is fully adjustable. The holster requires the use of an X300U or X300V weapon light, but is available for all Glocks and various Sig, M&P, HK, CZ, FN, and XD suppressor hosts.

The back of the holster features the company’s Ragnarok mounting system, which is compatible with accessories from Safariland, Bladetech, Blackhawk, G-Code, S&S Precision, and others, allowing it be run with countless quick-detach systems, paddles, and offset mounts.

Like all Ragnarok holsters, the SD is modular, tough, and fast. Regardless of the configuration used, the weapon can always be deployed with a drawstroke of less than 6″. It is can be ordered now in Black, Ranger Green, Wolverine Brown, Multicam Original, and Multicam Black.

Dutch Long Arms – Ascalon Prototype

A completely new rifle with an innovative locking system of Dutch origin

Pim de Waard, Dutch gunsmith and innovator, has a unique invention: a new Bolt Action Rifle system, named The Ascalon. The system is patented and will be marketed under the new brand Dutch Long Arms.

De Waard has applied this system in a completely new Long Range rifle, also patented.

The prototype has already proven to function beyond expectations, especially at long distances.

In Slovakia, Pim de Waard has extensively tested the prototype (the Ascalon 1) at 1,400 meters with caliber .338 Magnum. The results were amazing.

Right now Pim de Waard is producing the pre-production model in caliber .375 Cheytac, which will be shot at the King of 2 Miles in France in April 2019.

Hanson Uitgevers BV, which operates the patent, has granted the first license to Dutch Long Arms for the production of the first 10 Ascalon Long Range rifles.

Soldier Systems Daily has teamed up with Altama to introduce the limited edition Soldier Systems Classic version of the Maritime Assault Mid in Wolf Grey.

Last year, Soldier Systems Daily founder Eric Graves visited the Altama factory in Tennessee and was very impressed with the work being done there. He spoke with Original Footwear owner Kevin Cole about an idea he had been mulling over to raise money for military charities.

The concept of Soldier Systems Classics is simple. Combine old and new into a product which is branded with the Soldier Systems Classic logo. That could be an old design made from new materials or colors like Wolf Grey, or a new product with a heritage paint job like WWII Marine camouflage. Any funds raised by SSD are donated to a deserving charity.

Altama had just introduced the Maritime Assault Shoe which was designed by Eric’s old friend Dan Ellis. They reminded Eric of a modernized version of the sneaker inspired jungle shoes of World War Two and a deal was struck. Altama would introduce a new special color for the Maritime Assault Line and would manufacture 300 pair which included the Classics version of the SSD logo. Eric would select a deserving charity.

Eric is a retired US Air Force Intelligence Officer who served at the 21st & 23rd Special Tactics Squadrons as well as the 720th Special Tactics Group.

For the first Soldier Systems Classic fundraiser, he wanted to identify a charity which is very focused on the community it supports and is effective in delivery of support and services. He asked some of the men he had served with and they suggested The Pararescue Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Public Charity.

The Pararescue Foundation is the only entity dedicated to exclusively support US Air Force Pararescue and Combat Rescue Officer service members, veterans and their families.

Their mandate:
• Relieve the physical and psychological demands of service
• Provide tragedy, transition, and education assistance
• Honor the commitment and sacrifice of those who live by the motto: “That Others May Live”

Last but not least, SSD turned to Tactical Distributors to handle the sale of the shoes. 10% of the proceeds of the sale of these shoes will be donated to The Pararescue Foundation.

Natick’s Exoskeleton Work is a Powerful Step Toward the Future of Soldier Lethality

Soldiers are the most important, effective platform in the U.S. Army. In finite quantity, these warfighters are being asked to move farther, faster, and carry larger loads — all while performing under harsh and challenging conditions. Responding to the Army Chief of Staff and the Soldier Lethality Cross-Functional Team, NSRDEC awarded an “Other Transaction Agreement” for a human augmentation system prototype to Lockheed Martin Space and Missile, or LMCO.

Trademarked under the name “ONYX,” the system is a powered, knee-based, mobility enhancing device that shows great potential for allowing Soldiers to stay in contact while maintaining peak performance longer, with equal or increased warfighting power.

The NSRDEC’s exoskeleton effort will initially focus on the challenges faced by Army Close Combat Forces, validating their needs with data from ongoing combat operations, reports, user focus groups and validation Table Top Exercises.

Understanding that 90 percent of casualties since WWII are from the Close Combat Force, the Army Chief of Staff has directed that one of his strategic focus areas emphasizes improving the lethality, maneuverability, mobility and survivability of the Army’s most valuable asset — the individual combatant. The Army seeks to cover more ground with fewer forces through strategic systems that integrate innovative technological concepts such as exoskeletons, other worn advanced capabilities, and tactics.

Working with NSRDEC leads, the LMCO ONYX team will integrate user-based feedback into the new design and improved system performance and deliver demonstration-ready prototypes in FY19.

DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation Wins Navy SBIR PHI Computer Learning Obfuscating Adversarial Kit (CLOAK) Contract

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ —DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation (DAC), a leader in cutting-edge Machine Learning development and application, has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to develop the Computer Learning Obfuscating Adversarial Kit (CLOAK) system. Under this effort, DAC will provide the Navy with a portable camouflaging kit by advancing state-of-the-art adversarial imagery though physical-world manipulation and data synthesis.

In Phase I of this effort, DAC will select and train two modern classifiers on military and commercial vehicles, develop an advanced data synthesis pipeline, and develop an algorithm for learning camouflage configuration. DAC’s algorithms will combine advanced 3D data synthesis with a constrained adversarial generation process for generating physical-world robust computer vision camouflage.
