9th Infantry Division (Motorized)

July 31st, 2016

Originally activated during the US buildup of World War One, the 9th Infantry Division would see numerous activations and deactivations up until its final casing of the Division colors in 1992. The 9th ID engaged in combat in World War Two and the Viet Nam conflict but the 1980s were a period of experimentation where the Division served as the US Army’s High Technology Test Bed and was designated the only Motorized Division.  This included the use of Fast Attack Vehicles shown above.  Unfortunately, the force structure, while nimble, could not stand up to enemy fires or the armored threats prevalent at the time.

LaserMax – Manta-Ray Weapon Light

July 31st, 2016

The Manta-Ray is a collaboration between Manta Defense and LaserMax. It is a low-profile, Picatinny compatible, Weapon Light which emits 140 lumens of Mint Green LED light. Thanks to the Manta attachment, it easily snaps on and off the firearm rail without need for tools, levers or clamps. That means it can also be used as a handheld light.

It incorporates an internal rechargeable battery with a 1-hour constant runtime but there is a dimmer function as well as constant versus momentary activation and programmable lockout. It is also compatible with LaserMax’s optional Remote Activation Switch (LMS-RAS).

Tyrant Designs CNC Announces Colored AR grips

July 31st, 2016

Tyrant Designs CNC, a industry leader in high end, aftermarket AR grips announced that they will now be selling their premium grip, the MOD Grip, in Red, Blue and grey. After the successful release of the MOD Grip in only black, they have decided to expand the options to other colors. With the contrast of colors against the black front and back straps they believe it will help consumers further customize the look of their rifle.

“After a few months of customers requesting color options, and the fact that the AR platform itself is becoming more than just a black rifle, we decided it would be best to give our customers what they want. We truly appreciate customer feedback, and a lot of our current and future designs include much consideration from the input of our customers. Although we love to push the limits of innovation in our designs, our products would be nothing without the operators input. “

Tyrant Designs CNC is an AR accessories manufacturer based just outside of Chicago. They have had several successful designs for AR pistol grips and have plans to expand to foregrips as well as other AR accessories this year. Check out all of the products they offer at www.TyrantCNC.com.
