Tactical Tailor Announces New Members OF R&D Team

June 7th, 2016

Tactical Tailor is proud to introduce the newest members of our Research and Development team, Avery Kerr and Dave Hannah. Both men come from extensive military backgrounds and know a thing or two about how military gear works.

Avery originally hails from Santa Barbara, California. At age 20, he joined the Army, where he served with the 2nd Ranger Battalion. He went on to become a part of the Oregon National Guard and served as a scout sniper in 1-162 Infantry. He deployed to Kuwait in 2003 and then served as a supply sergeant, training NCO and Readiness NCO for 11 years. Upon leaving active duty, he sought to design and build gear of his own, for similar reasons that sparked the creation of Tactical Tailor – to better innovate the gear that he was using. This led him to Tactical Tailor’s R&D department, where he now gets paid to do it.

When asked about his past and his new position in Tactical Tailor, Avery said, “The battalion helped me become the person I am today, and I look forward to doing great things at Tactical Tailor in the future.”

Dave Hannah also served in the United States Army, most of it with 1st Special Forces Group. Of course this means that Dave is a little shy bragging about his accomplishments, but we managed to drag out of him that other than being part of 1st Special Forces Group, he also earned his Airborne wings, Ranger tab and became HALO qualified. He also spent time as an MPC K9 handler as well as a Senior Communications Sergeant. Needless to say, he is another major asset to the Tactical Tailor team and has quite a bit to bring to the table.

In keeping true with his sense of humor and secretive nature, Dave was quoted saying, “There’s a snake in my boot!”

Tactical Tailor is excited to see what Avery and Dave’s extensive military experience will bring to the table when it comes to designing quality, American made tactical gear. For Patriots By Patriots continues to be more than a slogan, but an actual mission to better serve those who directly rely on our products.
