High Speed Gear gave us a peek at their new Radio TACO. Coming early December, it stems from customer demand for a radio variant. Naturally, testers are already coming up with myriad ways to capitalize on its size and versatility.
XGO is introducing a new, proprietary treatment for their fabrics called XGAC for Xover Gear Advanced Cooling. It’s a cooling treatment that increases comfort the more you sweat, and will be incorporated into their moisture wicking fabric (Phase I). It will result in a 2-5 degree difference in actual skin temperature.
Many organizations are using Samsung tablets and handheld devices. Now, they’ve teamed with Juggernaut Case to provide water and shockproof (IP 67) cases. This means shock at a 2m drop and waterproof to 1m for 30 min. Currently, cases are in production for the Note 4, Galaxy S5 and TabS 8.4.
AegiSound is in the business of hearing protection in high noise environments. Currently, they provide hearing protection for Navy flight deck crews and are the hearing protection for all ground crews for the F35.
For the F35 system, they provide triple noise protection consisting of over the ear, plus customized plugs and in-ear active noise reduction. This is combined with digital noise cancelling microphones. FR high noise levels they add a shield around the microphone with a push-to-talk button.
Magpul has just released the new Samsung GALAXY S6 Field Case. Like the rest of the Field Cases, the GALAXY S6 model features PMAG-style ribs, and is made from flexible thermoplastic. The Field Case is available in all standard colors.

Morgan Advanced Materials is offering a ballistic variant (NIJ 0101.04 IIIA) of Gecko Headgear maritime helmet design. It comes in a single size with an inflatable liner which not only helps secure the helmet but also offers bouyancy. The helmet also holds certification as a mountaineering helmet. In addition to a face shield they also offer a ballistic facemask.
