Austere Provisions Company CORE Panels In Production

Austere Provisions Company has been working on bringing the CORE Panel to market for some time now and just last month they announced that Blue Force Gear would be making the PALS-compatible panel insert from their proprietary ULTRAcomp™ material. The CORE Panel can be configured with various loadouts and interned into a bag.
Now, Austere Provisions has announced that they are in production and should be in stock in 30 days.

BFG Releases Hive 2.0 in New Colorway
Tuesday, June 25th, 2013This latest run of Hive discreet carry packs is made in Three Color Desert (with burnt orange accents). The pack is water resistant and constructed with a combination o CORDURA and Tweave fabric offering a unique look that doesn’t scream “gun!”
The Hive was developed in conjunction with Chris Costa in order to satisfy the need for a convenient way to tote a larger handgun in the event you can’t concealed carry. When it was designed, the team also considered the use of a submachine gun. In fact, it will accommodate a folding stock UZI variants, MP7, MP5K, and B+T MP9 as well as other small SMGs.
Another main concern was easy access and the Hive offers simple, one handed retrieval. BFG added a bonus making it Dapper compatible by lining it with loop fabric so that it can be configured in a wide variety of ways. Additionally, it is ambidextrous with the shoulder strap and accessory pocket, which fits most common handguns as well as other items, can be switched from left to right. Finally, the main compartment incorporates a stiffened frame that helps protect the contents from printing as well as damage and the dual zippers can be opened one at a time or in tandem.
Remember, the Hive is manufactured in unique batches of 300 so if you want a specific color (or one from each run) you will need to get it while it is available and the price is low. Like all things Blue Force Gear, it’s made with pride in the USA.
CORE Panel Tease from Austere Provisions Company – Updated

Basically, it’s a PALS-compatible panel insert that allows you to configure a load and place it directly into a messenger-style bag. Pretty ingenious. The photo above features a CORE Panel festooned with Blue Force Gear pouches.
UPDATE – Here’s a photo of the CORE Panel without pouches. The BFG MOLLEminus construction is quite obvious.

Blue Force Gear Adds Urban Wolf Grey to Color Options
Tuesday, May 14th, 2013The world is increasingly urbanizing and that environment is often a grey hue. Last year, Arc’teryx launched a new color called Urban Wolf which was designed to blend into urban sprawl. It also turns out that this grey tone has become quite popular with not only LE but also guys who don’t want to wear military-style camouflage yet still want to blend in.
While Arc’teryx has done a great job of introducing the color into their line, there are a lot of products that they just don’t make. Fortunately for us, Blue Force Gear does make things like load bearing systems and armor carriers. And now, they offer them in Urban Wolf.
“Urban Wolf is basically the color of wet concrete, near the color values of asphalt, steel, and reflective glass,” said John Felushko, Blue Force Gear’s Product Line Manager. “It was designed by Arc’teryx specifically as a better alternative to black and blue in the SWAT role but because of its ability to blend with diverse terrains, we like it as a general purpose colorway for many missions, terrains, and tactics.”
