Grey Ghost Gear BAR-5200 Pack

Wednesday, March 20th, 2019

Grey Ghost Gear is proud to announce the release of its BAR-5200: the mightiest and most magnificent of modern rucks. Our BAR-5200 pack is an excruciatingly well-designed evolution of the old military ALICE pack. It features many improvements – and of course more than a little GG flair.

Constructed from 500 denier Cordura Nylon with reinforcing on the high-stress areas of the pack, the pack consists of eight exterior pouches plus a claymore pocket on the top of the flap with an additional zippered mesh pocket underneath. On the subject of zippers, we’ve made provision for those times when you forget to zip things back up in the pissing-down rain. All of BAR-5200’s exterior pouches are built with drainage grommets in the bottom.

As for the main compartment, it can be accessed either by unbuckling and lifting the top flap or by opening the backdoor that’s zippered in the back just above the carry handle. Because sometimes you just want to get in the back door. Hook and loop panels are available for personal identification, but that’s not all. Extremely generous foam padding in the shoulder straps and waist belt ensure you can strap her down tight and still hoof a heavy load in comfort thanks to the included ASTM B221 lightweight aluminum frame, straps, and belt.

With a total volume of around 5200 cubic inches, you’ll appreciate the added comfort when it’s loaded to capacity. BAR-5200 is currently available in MultiCam and Coyote Brown.

Check it out on the BAR-5200 pack page.

There is only one thing better for a warfighter to do than carry Grey Ghost Gear (and it’s still pretty close). Just ask this guy.

Even legendary barbarians love Grey Ghost Gear.

The Y-shaped suspenders use ITW G-Hook fasteners to interface with the Grey Ghost Gear UGF Battle Belt’s inner belt. At the end of each suspender strap is 11-inches of color matched elastic.

Each strap is equipped with a metal slip lock, to ensure that when you have the perfect adjustment, they are guaranteed to stay in place.

BOGO 50%: Grey Ghost Gear GGAP-31 LVL III+ Armor

Wednesday, July 25th, 2018

bogo-1

Grey Ghost Gear is having a “Buy One, Get One Half Off” Sale on their latest LVL III+ composite armor plates, with free shipping and additional swag tossed in for good measure. The GGAP-31 is a single curve plate that only weight 4.14 pounds due to it’s advanced hybrid composite design. That’s quite a significant weight reduction from a standard 10″x12″ plate – all without sacrificing threat protection. The GGAP-31 is multi shot rated for rounds like 7.62 x 51mm M80 @ 2780 FPS and 5.56 x 45mm M855/SS109 @ 3020 FPS. These plates are NIJ 0101.06 Certified, wrapped in a durable 1000D Cordura® Nylon Finish, and best of all… made in the USA.

BONUS

The first 50 orders will also receive a GG Minimalist Plate Carrier in Navy w/ black webbing. Usually the MPC only comes in the usual black, coyote, MultiCam and Wolf Grey, so the Navy is a unique color offering not usually seen. The Minimalist retails for $126.50 while the individual plates retail for $430 each. Currently the deal for both plates (and whether or not your order is 1-50 and gets a carrier) is $645.00

The promotion ends July 31st @ Midnight PST. Click here to view the bundle offer.

The Super Dave GT Sling from Grey Ghost Gear is wicked light at 2.2 oz. It’s also swoopy, what with the laser cut holes to cut the air while you bring your gun to bear. Additionally, they’ve incorporated Velcro in order to accept nametags or your favorite moral patch.

Available now in Blaxk and Coyote. Also available without the aerodynamic laser cut holes for you squares who don’t want to look cool. In case you can’t tell, I like the version with the holes.

Grey Ghost Gear Releases the Wanderer

Friday, June 10th, 2016

Wandering. It’s what we do. We take ourselves all over the globe in search of riches, excitement or maybe the next double whiskey on the rocks. Often we’re traveling to and from work or on a plane moving to the next business venue. Wherever we wander, we need to bring along the necessaries for our job and to feel comfortable outside our home or battle position. Taking cues from our previous waxed canvas offerings, Wanderer captures all such reasons and needs in a low profile, high functioning aesthetically striking design.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” Mark Twain

The Wanderer is a messenger style bag built of waxed canvas and features waterproof zippers. You can carry your precious cargo in rain the rain or along the shore without worry. It feels really nice too, like furry walls on a chill, foggy morning.

  • Measurements: 20.5 in. long, 11.5 in. tall, 4.5 in. deep
  • Carry strap: adjustable seatbelt webbing fit everyone from the petite flâneur to brawny vagabond
  • End pockets: 2 each on either end; one zippered and flap closed, expanding to carry a water bottle, the other an open stash pocket that will hold a small umbrella (for you, not your gear), a couple of AR magazines or an IFAK.
  • Body Flap: The pull-over courier style flap secures with 2 magnetic snaps and contains 2 9×5 in. zippered, tricot lined pockets for smart devices, eye pro, or other small valuables.
  • Interior Organization: The primary compartment is divided into a 2/3-1/3 configuration. The smaller of the 2 will carry a laptop. The other will secure anything from a PDW with stock collapsed to your carry-on luggage. A simple side release web-and-buckle feature secures contents from spillage.
  • Further Compartmentalization: 2 vertical zippers in the front compartment open a gate to access loose, small items. The reverse side of the gate contains 4 stretch mesh pockets and a pen scabbard. Above those is yet another pocket with sufficient accommodation for an iPad Mini or similar device.

The classic, understated nature of the Wanderer is imminently suitable for customers who must by necessity remain inconspicuous and low profile but it works perfectly well for the everyman too. Utilize it to carry your gear across campus or use it to for off-body carry needs – there’s a zippered, hook-and-loop backed pocket to the rear of the bag, with plenty of room for a handgun and spare mags, and it’s been pleated so the weapon won’t print.

This is the same sort of utility that recently earned the Wanderer and its cousin, the Gypsy, a place on Fox News list of “ultimate tactical graduation gifts.”

Vagabond or skald, flaneur or gyrovague or face-shooting pipehitter who lives in a house that looks like a werewolf, we think you’ll find our new messenger bag worth a look. You may not have been everywhere yet, but might as well put it on your list. Take a Wanderer along with you.
